In the teaching and learning process of Social Sciences, many problems are carried out by the teacher. One of them is some students still rely on their teacher's activities in learning, so the role of students is still very lacking. Even thought, the teacher always involving students to play an active in learning process. In contrary, students assume that the subject of Social Sciences is very boring. So that this causes a low quality of learning in Social Sciences, especially in  SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. This cases has tickled the writer to take the theme of research on picture and picture cooperative methods to improve the quality of learning and increase the interest and activity of students in teaching and learning activities in Social Sciences.As for the techniques used of data collection is through observation by teachers and collaborators. The research involved two cycles of 42 students. While the data analysis used description with percentage techniques. Furthermore the level of activity of students and teachers is expressed in the category of "very good", "good" or "moderate", while the success of using picture and picture cooperative methods is stated as "successful", "less successful", or "unsuccessful".The results of this reseacrh with picture and picture cooperative methods have been successful, which is showing indicated by an increase in student activity of learning because it has reached the specified criteria is 81% of students are actively involved, while teacher activities reach 86.53%, as well as student learning outcomes with a value of 78.57, where this shows that it is exceeding the KKM value of 72, with a percentage of completeness of 76%, which has exceeded the criteria of 75%.

The purpose of this writing is to provide innovation in learning in the classroom by using varied learning models. So that the quality of learning in the classroom increases and is more interesting. In addition, it can also improve student activity, foster a spirit of learning and completing tasks well. The problem of learning in Indonesia is a problem that must be taken seriously, especially by the teacher. Therefore, teachers must be able to inspire students to be actively involved in the learning process of selection and determination of learning strategies that are most appropriate to the characteristics of students. With the existence of this writing, the background of the difficulties in understanding the material is also the lack of enthusiasm of students in learning the material and completing the assignments given by the teacher which have an impact on student learning outcomes that are still low. The low student learning outcomes, of course, many factors that cause, for example the classic problem about the application of learning methods that are still teacher-centered, so students tend to passively listen to the teacher's explanation. So, the choice of methods and strategies in teaching and learning in class is very important because it can affect the results of teaching and learning in the classroom and obtain the desired learning goals. For this reason, the teacher can use the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning method which is modified by the task strategy and force. The learning model of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) is a method that is focused on providing direct and enjoyable learning experiences. Experience learning directly by learning to listen or listen (auditory), learn intellectually and learn with repetition. Meanwhile, the Task and Forces strategy is a learning strategy that has little effect on students to complete tasks until they are completed and on time. If it does not complete the assignment given by the teacher, then there is a penalty for students who do not do their duties according to the previous agreement. So that students will be motivated in listening, understanding the material conveyed by the teacher and doing the task on time. This strategy can also improve the quality of student learning to reduce the level of student laziness and provide good learning outcomes. By combining this method it is hoped that it can make students become more disciplined and responsible for the tasks given. Therefore, combining these models and strategies is needed in the learning process so that the learning process is interesting and the quality of learning increases.

Teacher quality will significantly affectthe quality of knowledge and the resulting output. However, teachers must have capable abilities based onpedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. Academic supervision is a routine activity thatmust be carried out by supervisors and madrasa heads, so the role of supervisors to supervise and foster is verymuch needed. The part of supervisors is still not maximized in conducting supervision and coaching. Thissituation has an impact on the quality of teachers in the teaching and learning process, not only that it willaffect the quality of madrasas.

Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.Keywords: Learning, discussion AbstrakProses belajar mengajar yang baik dapat menciptakan situasi yang mmemungkinkan anak belajar, sehingga merupakan titik awal keberhasilan pengajaran. Rendahnya mutu pendidikan tergantung pada pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar yang dapat diartikan kurang efektifnya proses belajar mengajar, penyebabnya: (1) Rendahnya aktifitas belajar,  (2) Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Kasus pada SMP Negeri % Kota Solok rendahnya aktifitas belajar siswa diduga berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatanpada  kelas VIII A yang termasuk kelas unggul belum mencapai ketuntasan yang di inginkan, sedangkan kelas yang paling sedikit ketuntasannya adalah kelas VIII B yaitu sebanyak 33,33 % dengan kriterian KKM 65. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, guru dituntut untuk dapat memotivasi siswa dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa. Karena itu, untuk menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa, penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui metode diskusi dalam kelompok kecil. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, diskusi

<p>Abstract: The Role of LPTK in Creating Syari’ah Based Professional Workforce in Aceh. The Institution of Learning for Educational workforce (LPTKs) plays an important role in the process of producing professionals in their fields. This article studies the extent to which such institutional programs play, especially those mainly associated with the Islamic sya’riah implemented in Aceh region. The writer of this article argues that, in terms of quality, it can be revealed from how far the lecturers are capable of facilitating the students’ learning process and its relevance to teaching materials. Therefore, the author concludes that the quality of learning can be conducted with the intensity of the systemic and synergistic lecturers, students, curriculum and learning materials, media, facilities, and learning systems in producing process and the optimal learning outcomes in accordance with the demands of curriculum.</p><p><br />Kata Kunci: workforce, professional, LPTK, Aceh<br /><br /></p>

Educational progress is determined by how teacher’s way to arrange the learning process that occurs in schools. The quality of learning depends on how the teacher runs the learning, so the goal of education is achieved, the learning process becomes innovative and fun and learners do not feel bored during the learning process takes place. The formation of students’ character becomes the main goal in education, therefore comic is a tool that can help teachers in instilling the values of characters contained in the comic.

Abstrak Dalam proses belajar mengajar peran supervisi kepala madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, di mana para guru didalam melaksanakan tugasnya merupakan ujung tombak dalam mensukseskan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Di dalam pelaksanaan proses belaajar mengajar para guru seringkali mendapat kesulitan,dan kesulitan itu akan terjadi kemandegan dan kegagalan sekaligus berdampak pada mutu pendidikan, peran supervisi atau supervisor memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan layanan terhadap guru yang mendapatkan kesulitan atau terjadi penurunan dalam kompetensinya. Tulisan ini berfokus pada kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam peningkatan kinerja. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data-data yang sudah didapatkan kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam peningkatan kinerja guru menggunakan dua teknik yakni supervisi akademik berbasis pada individu dan kelompok. Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik teknik individu untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo yaitu menggunakan teknik orientasi bagi guru baru, classroom observation dan individual converence, sedangkan pelaksanaan supervisi akademik teknik kelompok untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo yaitu menggunakan teknik rapat dewan guru, workshop/ lokakarya, bacaan terpimpin, buletin board dan karyawisata. Kata Kunci: kepala madrasah, supervisi akademik, kinerja guru, madrasah ibtidaiyah   Abstract In the teaching and learning process, the supervisory role of madrasah headmaster comprises a strategic role in improving educational quality, while the teachers in doing their tasks are seen as the lead in the efforts of achieving national education goals. In the implementation of teaching and learning process, most of the time teachers experience difficulties in which it causes stagnation and failure in improving as well as directly affecting the quality of the education itself. The role of supervision, or supervisor, possess a strategic role in providing services to teachers who experience difficulties or those who suffer declining competence. This paper focuses on the performance improvement of the leadership of the headmaster at madrasah. This paper used qualitative research methods. The data that has been obtained is analyzed by using descriptive data analysis. The leadership of Head master at Madrasah in improving teacher’s performance is done by using academic supervision techniques based on individuals and groups. The implementation of academic supervision technique within individual in improving teacher’s performance at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Primary School) Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo is carried out by using orientation techniques for new teachers, classroom observations and individual conversions. Meanwhile, the implementation of academic supervision techniques within groups in improving teacher’s performance in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo is carried out by using teacher council meetings technique, workshops, guided reading, bulletin boards and field trips. Teacher professionalism is an important component that can determine success in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. In an effort to improve teacher professional competence there are several programs that can be done, one of them is by empowering Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) for PAI teachers. MGMP is an opportunity for teachers to be able to develop themselves and innovate in developing the quality of learning in the classroom. This research is a literature review that aims to understand MGMP management as an effort to improve the professional competence of PAI teachers. The results of this study are MGMP requires planning, organizing, mobilizing and monitoring so that the objectives of the MGMP programs can contribute positively to the development of professional competencies for PAI teachers.

This writing aims to motivate students to be more disciplined in the learning process and can also improve and develop students’ understanding in solving problems. In order for these objectives to be achieved and the quality of learning to increase, the writing of a combination of Inside-Outside Circle Learning Method and Task and Forced Learning Strategies was conducted. The Inside-Outside Circle Learning Method is learning with a system of small circles and large circles in which students share information at the same time with different pairs briefly and regularly. While the Task and Forced Learning Strategy is alearning strategy that emphasizes the discipline and self-awareness of students with the assignment of tasks that force students to finish on time. As for this strategy combined, it is expected to overcome and cover the lack of the Inside-Outside Circle Learning Method. The result of the discussion show that the combination of Inside-Outside Circle Learning Method and Task and Forced Learning Strategies has a major influence on improving student understanding in completing tasks, making student learning outcomes better, students becoming more disciplined and more active in learning, and students accustomed to preparing self by learning before starting teaching and learning activities. Therefore, this combination is very necessary in the learning process and can be applied to improve the quality of learning in schools.
