This study aimed to determine the effect of generative Learning model on the students’ conceptual understanding of the topic "Light". This type of Research was pre experimental study with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population of this Research consisted of all students of class VIII in SMP 5 Singkawang city. The sample of the research consisted of the students of class VIII E the total number of 20 students and the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The research instrument used in the form of multiple choice test. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test. From the calculation resolusi was obtained the value of -t obs. < -t tc.v. or -59.73 < -2.093, then H 0 was rejected and H a accepted at the level of significance α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of generative Learning model on students’ Concept understanding in the topic “Light".

<p>Science process skills is important to developing the quality of students’ learning in science. This research aimed to determine the effect of generative learning xmodel on students' science process skills of the topic Light. This type of research was pre-exprimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research consisted of all students of class VIII in SMPN 5 Singkawang City. The research samples consisted of the students of class VIII E the total number of 20 students and the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The research instrument used in this research was description test. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test. From the calculation results was obtained the value of -t<sub>ob</sub><sub>tained</sub> &lt; -t<sub>c</sub><sub>ritical</sub> or -21.36 &lt; -2.093, then H<sub>o</sub> was rejected and H<sub>a</sub> was accepted at the level of significance α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that there was an effect of generative learning model on students’ science process skills in the topic of Light.<em></em></p>

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengimplementasi model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap penguasaan konsep dan keberlanjutan pemahaman konsep pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap analisis penguasaan konsep dan keberlanjutan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia di SMP Negeri 26 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian menggunakan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 30 orang dan peserta didik kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 30 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling classroom dilihat dari rata-rata nilai kelas pada hasil ulangan akhir semester. Pengumpulan data sampel menggunakan tes soal pilihan ganda tes pre-test/post-test, angket atau kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji analisis statistik desktiptif, uji N-Gain dan uji hipotesis statistik menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan penguasaan konsep dengan hasil yaitu mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 0,6%, sedangkan penguasaan konsep menggunakan model ekspositori mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 0,5%; (2) Implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing keberlanjutan pemahaman konsep kelompok eksperimen pada data pretest dan posttest mendapatkan hasil total sebesar 4% dengan kriteria kurang sekali menjadi 76% dengan kriteria baik dari 300 total keberlanjutan pemahaman konsep, sedangkan keberlanjutan pemahaman konsep menggunakan model ekspositori kelompok kontrol pada data pretest dan posttest mendapatkan hasil total sebesar 12% dengan kriteria kurang sekali menjadi 21% dengan kategori kurang dari 300 total keberlanjutan pemahaman konsep; dan (3) Uji T mendapatkan hasil perhitungan T Hitung yaitu 3.14 > T Tabel yaitu 2.00 dengan taraf signifikan 0.05 maka Ha diterima. Berarti terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep dan keberlanjutan konsep siswa yang mengimplementasikan model inkuiri terbimbing dan model ekspositori. Research has been carried out to implement a guided inquiry model for mastery of concepts and sustainability of conceptual understanding on the material of the human respiratory system. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the guided inquiry learning model on the analysis of concept mastery and the sustainability of students' conceptual understanding on the human respiratory system material at SMP Negeri 26 Banjarmasin. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a research design using Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample of this research is the students of class VIII A as the experimental class totaling 30 people and students of class VIII B as the control class totaling 30 people. The sampling technique used was classroom random sampling, seen from the average class value on the results of the Final Semester Test. The sample data was collected using multiple choice test, pre-test/post-test, questionnaires, and visual documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis test, N-Gain test and statistical hypothesis testing using t-test. The results showed that (1) the implementation of the guided inquiry learning model can affect the increase in mastery of concepts with the result that it gets an average of 0.6%, while the mastery of concepts using the expository model gets an average of 0.5%; (2) The implementation of the guided inquiry learning model for the sustainability of conceptual understanding of the experimental group in the pretest and posttest data obtained a total result of 4% with the criteria of being less than 76% with good criteria of 300 total sustainability of concept understanding, while the sustainability of understanding the concept used the expository model of the control group. the pretest and posttest data get a total result of 12% with the criteria being less than 21% with a category of less than 300 total sustainability of concept understanding; and (3) The T test shows that Tcalc > T tab (3.14 > 2.00), which with a significant level of 0.05 means that Ha is accepted. This study conclude that there are differences in the mastery of concepts and the sustainability of the concepts of students who implement the guided inquiry model and the expository model.

This study aims to analyze the improvement and profile of students' conceptual understanding through a local wisdom-based inquiry model. This research used mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The population in this study were all class 5 students from six elementary schools in Mayong Jepara. The selection of sample of this study used simple random sampling technique. The study has two sample of class 5 of SD Negeri 2 and SD Negeri 3 Mayong Lor with 27 student and 30 student as the sample, respectively. The first stage is a quantitative method in the form of a true-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group design type. Data collection was used test, to know the understanding of the student on heat transfer concept. Then completed using documentation and interview for qualitative stage. Then for data analysis was used n-gain test and description according to Miles and Hubermans models. Based on the conceptual understanding score shows the average score obtained by the experimental class student was increased from 51.48 to 77.41 and the control class obtained an average increase from 52.33 to 66.00. The results of the average difference test of students’ conceptual understanding show that the sig. (2-tailed) value generated is 0.001 < 0.05, it indicates H0 is rejected, which means that there is a difference in conceptual understanding between the inquiry class and the local wisdom-based inquiry class. The profile of concept understanding on each indicator of class 5 students on the theme of heat and its transfer through the inquiry model as a whole is included in the good category with a percentage of 79.32 and the results of the interviews showed that students are easier to understand the material conveyed through direct observation to the roof tile manufacturing company.

Analysis is a basic ability for students to think critically and include one of the high cognitive that were important to mastered students. Where the ability of high-level thinking was one of the goals of education in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Generative Learning model on the Ability of Student Analysis on Matter of Human Nervous System in Class XI IPA SMA Muara Lakitan Musi Rawas Regency. This research used Quasi Experiment method of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students of class XI IPA with sampling technique used nonprobability of purposive sampling. With the sample of research class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 which amounted to 69 students. Technique of data collection used multiple choice test amounting to 15 question, observation of model execution, field notes and documentation. Based on analysis result of student's analysis ability showed that mastery of analysis ability indicator in experiment class 67,7% higher than control class that was 55,3%. The improvement of analytical ability can be seen from the N-gain value where the experimental class has a gain value of 0,53 with medium category higher than control class that is 0.19 with low category. The results of hypothesis testing using t test obtained tcount = 3.969 and ttable = 1.670 with 95% confidence level ( = 0.05). The data shows that tcount> ttable, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Generative Learning model has an effect on the students' analysis ability in the XI grade of SMA Negeri Muara Lakitan of Musi Rawas Regency.

Background: The learning process of biology does not only promote discovery but also a process of discovery by being able to increase scientific attitudes. In addition, the selection of a learning model is very influential on success in learning. Inquiry learning emphasizes critical thinking and analysis to find the answer to a question in question. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of the Guided Inquiry learning method on the ability to use scientific methods. Methods: Quasi-experimental with the sampling technique using simple random sampling. A multiple-choice test totalling 18 questions was used as an instrument. The research data were analyzed using the Mann U-Withney non-parametric statistical test. Results: The test results obtained that the calculated Z value of 6.8 is greater than the Z table value (0.05) of 1.96.  Conclusions: there is an effect of using the Guided Inquiry learning model on the ability to use scientific methods of class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Karawang.

The aim of this study is to determine the improvement of student’s concept understanding on Newton's Law with the implementation of POE learning model. This research type is quantitative and using pre-experiment method with one group pre-test post-test design. In this study, the measurements in the form of pre-test to the subject and then treated with the POE learning model and within a certain time post-test is given. The population in this research is all students of class VIII in SMP 5 Singkawang city. The sample of the research is the students of class VIII E which amounted to 20 people and the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The result of data analysis using N-gain equation shows improvement of student’s concept understanding by 0,64 with medium category.

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of the AIR learning model on students' multi-mathematical representation abilities, student activities and learning motivation. The population of this research is all students of class VIII. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The selected sample consisted of two classes, namely VIIIB as the experimental class and VIIIC as the control class. This research is an experimental research design with Pretest-Postest Control Gruop. The results of the study can be concluded that: (1) There is a difference in the ability of multi mathematical representation of students in the class using the AIR learning model and the class using the direct learning model. (2) The effect of the AIR model is relatively high on the ability of students' multiple mathematical representations; 3) student learning activities as a whole are classified as very active; 4) student motivation is categorized high. Keywords : Auditory Intellectually Repetition, multi representations, student activities, student  motivation

The concept is an understanding of an individual or a group of people who is expressed in the form of a meaning that produces knowledge. Misconceptions of students that appear continuously will interfere with the formation of scientific conceptions and can affect student learning outcomes. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the misconceptions of students. One of the diagnostic tests that can be used is a two-tier multiple choice test or known as a two-tier multiple choice, the first level is the question being tested while the second level contains the reasons for the answer to the first level. This study aims to analyze misconceptions and determine the percentage of students' misconceptions on hydrocarbon material using descriptive methods. The subjects were 27 students of class XI IPA 2 in SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The research instrument was a Two Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test by dividing students' conceptual understanding into the categories of conceptual understanding, misconception, and conceptual misunderstanding. The results showed that the percentage of students' conceptual understanding in the concept understanding category was 31%, misconception was 36%, and did not understand the concept by 34% on hydrocarbon material. Students' misconceptions on hydrocarbon material at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang were categorized as moderate. Konsep merupakan pemahaman individu atau sekelompok orang yang diungkapkan dalam bentuk pengertian yang menghasilkan suatu pengetahuan. Miskonsepsi peserta didik yang muncul terus menerus akan mengganggu pembentukan konsepsi ilmiah dan dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan analisis miskonsepsi peserta didik. Salah satu tes diagnostik yang dapat digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda bertingkat dua atau dikenal sebagai two-tier multiple choice, tingkat pertama merupakan pertanyaan yang diujikan sedangkan tingkat kedua berisi alasan atas jawaban pada tingkat pertama. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis miskonsepsi dan menentukan persentase miskonsepsi peserta didik pada materi hidrokarbon dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2 di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang yang berjumlah 27 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes diagnostik Two Tier Multiple Choice dengan membagi pemahaman konsep peserta didik dalam kategori paham konsep, miskonsepsi, dan tidak paham konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada kategori paham konsep sebesar 31%, miskonsepsi sebesar 36%, dan tidak paham konsep sebesar 34% pada materi hidrokarbon. Miskonsepsi peserta didik pada materi hidrokarbon di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang termasuk kriteria sedang.

An understanding of concepts is very necessary in physics learning. It has been confirmed that often students have different understanding of scientific concepts, this term is what commonly called Misconception. Misconception is a problem that must be addressed immediately because misconception is one factor that causes students to experience difficulties in learning physics. This study aims to determine the effect of physics learning with the PDEODE model (predict-discuss-explain-observe-discuss-explain) assisted by virtual laboratory in the form of PhET simulation in remediating students’ misconceptions in the fluid material. This type of research is a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The samples of this study were eleventh-grade science students of State Senior High School in Gadingrejo District, Lampung Province, taken through simple random sampling technique. The test used was in the form of a multi-tiered multiple-choice test of the four-tier diagnostic test with certainty response index (CRI) consisting of 20 items. The result of this study indicates that students' misconceptions decrease for all sub-concepts of fluid material. Based on the previously described statements, it can be concluded that physics learning based on virtual laboratory can remedy students' misconceptions, especially in fluid material.

Mathematical conceptual understanding is a provision in solving problems and finding other concepts. Therefore, this research should be conducted to determine the mathematical learning model that can enhance these capabilities. The main objective is to investigate and describe the achievement as well as an increase in the mathematical ability of conceptual understanding both got teaching Knisley mathematics learning model and direct learning model. The method used mixed method (mixed methods) with the incorporation of quantitative and qualitative models. The study design used concurrent embedded design. The population in this research is class VIII SMP with sample class VIII A and B. Class selected as sample using purposive sampling technique. Quantitative data analysis in this study using the samples Independent-T test and Mann-Whitney. Results of descriptive statistical analysis showed the experimental class =0.83, =14.92 and =0.58. And a control class shows = 0.89, = =10.27 and =0.39. Based on the test results of the samples Independent-T test to determine achievement and test scores N-gain KPKM each student obtained the data with sig (one-tailed) and =0.05 is 0.000. Because of sig < 0.05 then rejected that hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the research concludes that the attainment and improved conceptual understanding of mathematical ability of students who get teaching mathematics learning model Knisley better than who received direct instruction.
