The use of satire language style by a film creator aims to convey meaning to the public. This study aims at analyzing the use of satire language styles used by Bu Tejo in a short film entitled "Tilik." This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The object of this research is satire utterances spoken by Bu Tejo in the film "Tilik." The data collection techniques in this study used observation, listening, and note-taking techniques. The results demonstrate three types of satire languages used by Bu Tejo in the film “Tilik": cynicism, irony, and sarcasm. It is also found that cynicism is the most spoken language than sarcasm. The study highlights that the use of satire language uttered by Bu Tejo aims to convey ideas and perspectives related to problems occurring in society and express dissatisfaction.

Korean dramas have an influence in changing the lifestyle and grammar of the productive generation of generation Z (ages 6-25 years). With the development of the times accompanied by the rapid development of technology, this makes many outside cultures that enter and be studied by generation Z which is the modern generation and develops with technology. One example of culture that is popular among generation Z is Korean drama. The popular Korean drama made changes in behavior and grammar in Indonesian generation Z citizens. This article focuses on the influence of Korean dramas in behavior and grammatical changes as well as their impact on generation Z which is the productive age in Indonesia. From the topic, the questions arise about how the influence of Korean dramas in affecting the citizens of Generation Z who have great potential in building and preserving local culture, did the popular era of Korean drama cause the emergence of new lifestyles and language styles among this generation? Is the culture in Korean dramas positive and more educational for generation Z than local dramas? The study used qualitative methods using interactive qualitative methods with questionnaires and interviews as data collection techniques. The data obtained is further analyzed descriptively and presented in table form. From the results of research that has been done, it was found that Korean dramas do influence generation Z citizens to have a lifestyle and language style as in Korean dramas. The presence of bad behavior and new grammar that comes in from Korean dramas that are used as a lifestyle lead to the need for solutions to prevent generation Z who dislike culture and preserve local culture and language. There needs to be good socialization so that the citizens of Generation Z do not drift in the Korean wave. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, data collection is entirely done online through google form and Whatsapp, therefore, the results of the data obtained are not as good as data collection carried out face-to-face.

Rafiqî by Mohammad Nur Asyiq is one of the literary works which was written in Arabic and was widespread in Indonesia in the seventies. The book is constructed from several Arabic pieces of literatures with the author’s touch of al-Balâghah discipline and its three branches: al-Ma’âny, al-Bayân, and al-Badî’, thus making this book is a suitable candidate for a study concerning al-Balâghah. This book can be used to explore the purpose and intent of applying al-Balâghah language style as well as revealing the scientific and social characteristics of the author. By applying descriptive analytical approach, it was found that the author used several language styles, such as al-Istifhâm, al-Iltifât, al-Qashr, al-Fashl wa al-Washl, at-Tasybîh, al-Kinâyah, and al-Iqtibâs. Those applications of al-Balâgah reveal the author’s noble personality and his affection for Indonesia, his fought against invaders to seize Indonesia’s independence, his eagerness to consume local domestic products, and his compassion for the weak.

This study aims to reveal the stylistic used in a short story written by Kahlil Gibran entitled “Surakh al-Qubur” and also to describe the effect of it toward meaning. This is a descriptive qualitative research that used stylistic analysis to show the aesthetics side found in the short story. Based on data analysis, it was found that there are five categories of language styles in short story Surakh al-Qubur, they are: first, lexical (synonym and typical words); second, grammatical (verb and noun); third, rhetorical (alliteration, asyndeton, assonance, chiasmus, polysyndeton, and hyperbole) and figure of speech (metaphor, personification, simile, and eponym); fourth, cohesion and connectors such as al-wawu, al-fa’u, tsumma, au, and am; and fifth, character speech that can be analyzed using narration and dialogue. The influence of stylistic on meaning is that readers get the information directly or indirectly, feels sadness, gives advice, gets a picture of injustice, makes readers curious and more focused.

The aim of this study is to describe the reality of fiction, the author's social and global ideas, the shape of the fight of Malay Belitung women, and to examine the novel Dwilogy Moon Light (Dwilogi Padang Bulan) by Hirata's use of pragmatic stylistics. Genetic structuralist theory, liberal feminism, and pragmatic stilistics were all utilised in this work. The genetic structuralism hypothesis is used to assess the truth of fiction, its social context, and the author's point of view. Liberal feminist theory is used to evaluate the forms and elements that contribute to the struggle for Malay Belitung women, while pragmatic stilistics is used to analyze innovative diction, language style, and speech acts. The descriptive qualitative method of analysis is used in this study, along with a heuristic and hermeneutic reading approach. The technique is then applied, with the goal of carefully and thoroughly listening to the contents of the story and then recording complete data in accordance with the formulation of research problems. The findings of this study reveal that (1) fiction is true in terms of themes, characters, and occurrences, grooves, backgrounds, and point of view. Social reality is manifested in the following ways: social processes, social change, social issues, and social structures. The author's world view takes the shape of a relationship between the novel's social setting and the social context of real life, as well as the author's cultural social background and literary work. (2) The Malay Belitung women's struggle takes the shape of a conflict in the fields of honor, economy, and education, and this is the driving force behind the struggle of Malay Belitung women. In novel, gender injustice manifests as marginalization, subjugation, stereotyping, violence, and workload, whereas gender equality manifests as access, participation, and control. (3) Pragmatic Stilistics takes the form of the use of concrete language styles such as special, greeting, connotative, and foreign. Based on the structure of the sentence, including climax, anticlimax, antithesis, and recurrence. Based on the simplest kind of meaning: Litotes, Policyendon, Hiperbola, Metaphor, Allegory, Personification, and Irony. Employing illocutorial speech acts such as aggressive, commanding, expressive, commissioning, and declaring.

As the user of communication especially in English, the speaker has to consider the interlocutor’s position in order to achieve good communication. Here, the speakers which include native and non-native English speakers must choose an appropriate language style for the different interlocutors to avoid social consequences. The purposes of this research were to analyze the use of language style of those speakers in The Ellen Show. Also, it focused on the differences and the similarities between those speakers. Last, it focused on the factors influencing the use of language style. The research used the qualitative method which focuses on content analysis. Here, it focused on three native speakers and three non-native speakers of English as the guests in The Ellen Show. The Ellen Show is a talk show program with a casual discussion that talks about a particular topic or issue which consists of a host, the guest(s) being interviewed, the home audience, and the studio audience from which the host might get some responses from.The findings revealed that the native English speakers used all types of language styles. Meanwhile, the non-native speakers used three types of language styles. Then, the similarities were that both speakers applied formal style, consultative style, and casual style in their utterances. However, the difference was the non-native English speakers did not apply frozen style and intimate style. Furthermore, those speakers used language style because it influenced the participant, the setting, the topic, and the function. Therefore, it is concluded that language styles were useful in English utterances either by native speakers or non-native English speakers.   The speaker has to consider the interlocutor’s position in order to achieve good communication. Functional language styles serve social, political, economic, cultural, and other areas of human life, they are also widely used in our studies and life. The Chinese languages journalistic style has its unique linguistic features that give us a basis for a better understanding of Chinese media texts. The research is carried out due to the necessity to identify the specifics and distinguishing features of the stylistic system of the Chinese language, in particular, the journalistic style, which is a kind of literary written Chinese language and is widely used in almost all mass media. The results introduce new data into the process of learning the functional styles of the Chinese language, and will also contribute to a better understanding of the structure, culture of the language, and content of Chinese media texts in terms of their lexical content.

This research aim's to investigate language style variation used by the government on a covid-19 post on Instagram. This research is applied the descriptive qualitative method that focused on two objectives of the study. Firstly, to investigate situations types of language style variation were found in social media and secondly, to investigate realized of language style variation in social media in posting Coronavirus disease (covid-19). The data were collected through caption by the government that related to covid-19 found in Instagram. The data were collected through identified language style, do note-taking, and collecting references related to data. The researcher used Martin Joss's theory (1976: 153-155) to analyze the type of language styles such as are formal style, consultative style, and casual style. The research finding showed that 8 data were used by the government in a formal style, 7 data were used by the government in a consultative style, and 5 data were used by the government in a casual style.

Hati Suhita which is set in Java contains some philosophical and figurative languages. This research  aims to describe some figurative languages of Khilma Anis’s Hati Suhita and its relevance as a teaching material in high school. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The research data are in the form of words or sentences. The source of the data is the novel Hati Suhita and high school syllabus. The data collection techniques are read and note-taking techniques. The data analysis is then applied to the lists of figurative style passage dialogue using content analysis. The results showed that in the novel there were 32 styles of figurative languages. There are 6 data in the form of simile, 1 metaphorical, 12 personifications, 6 allusions, 6 eponymous data, and 1 data in the form of irony. Style that dominates the invention was the personification. Overall, the distinctive figurative language styles used in various forms of parables and comparisons in the novel are Javanese puppet characters and proverbs. This is unique in the discovery of language styles in this study. The results of the analysis of the language style in this novel have relevances as teaching materials with three KD, among them found in KD 3.9.4.9, 3.4.4.4, 3.9.4.9 of XI and XII degrees.AbstrakDalam novel Hati Suhita ditemukan gaya bahasa kiasan yang sarat akan budaya dan filosofi Jawa yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa kiasan yang terdapat dalam novel Hati Suhita karya Khilma Anis dan relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar di SMA. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa kata atau kalimat yang menunjukkan gaya bahasa kiasan. Sumber data berupa novel Hati Suhita dan silabus bahasa Indonesia pada jenjang SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat, pencatatan dilakukan untuk menuliskan petikan dialog yang mengandung gaya bahasa kiasan. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel tersebut terdapat 32 gaya bahasa kiasaan, yaitu 6 data gaya bahasa simile atau persamaan, 1 data metafora, 12 data personifikasi, 6 data alusi, 6 data eponimi, dan 1 data ironi. Gaya bahasa kiasan yang mendominasi adalah personifikasi. Kekhasan gaya bahasa kiasan yang digunakan dalam berbagai bentuk perumpamaan dan perbandingan pada novel tersebut adalah tokoh-tokoh pewayangan dan peribahasa Jawa. Hal tersebut merupakan keunikan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis gaya bahasa dalam novel ini memiliki relevansi sebagai bahan ajar dengan tiga KD, di antaranya terdapat pada KD 3.9.4.9, 3.4.4.4, 3.9.4.9. yang terdapat pada kelas XI dan XII.
