Edutainment shows promise as an alternative and complementary pedagogy, in autistic education, in this paper we evaluate a textual analysis of a movie Inner Healing on the edutainment and infotainment Fire Stick ++ terminal, also serving as a dock station to student keyboards and laptops, the textual analysis of this important media, in education proves the neurodiversity viewpoint in the indigenous healing diaspora, proving autism as transcending a minority culture in a viewpoint of a gift and hence a strength with the acceptance of the whole, the diversity of the self in meltdowns, irrationality, rage and anger, all as part of a gift and an acceptance of oneself, the inner healing. This edutainment is a broad deviation from current western thought streams in autism interventions as proves the holistic and alternative viewpoints.

This article analyses the set of ethical questions underlying the emergence of the modern politics of security, as articulated, in particular, in the work of Thomas Hobbes. An ethic is here understood – in line with its ancient philosophical use and the interpretation advanced by authors such as Michel Foucault and Pierre Hadot – as a domain of reflections and practices related to the cultivation and conversion of the self ( askēsis, metanoia). The article aims to demonstrate that, besides attending to the physical safety of the state and its citizens, modern apparatuses of security are also crucially implicated in the formation of their subjects as ethical and autonomous individuals. To substantiate this thesis, the article first illustrates how, since the first appearance of the term in the vocabulary of Western thought – and in Seneca’s work in particular – theories of security have been intimately tied to the cultivation of the self. It thus interprets Hobbes’s reflections on the subject as the upshot of a substantive, if implicit, re-articulation of Seneca’s ethic of security, by focusing on the two authors’ respective understandings of (a) autonomy, (b) the world, (c) ascesis, and (d) politics. Overall, it is suggested that the differences between the two authors testify to a wider political-historical shift: in modern regimes of governmentality, the ethical dimension of security no longer defines the rightful exercise of political power, but rather appears as an object of social and economic governance.

In Christian faith, the Bible stands equally true with nature as coexpressions of God's self-revelation. Literalism means the acceptance of that record as true, whether of rocks, fossils, or scriptures. “Biblical literalism” as used by many fundamental sects additionally requires very restricted interpretations formulated more for countering natural and theological “heresies” than for conformity with the Bible. Yet Genesis, in Hebrew, uses phenomenological language and idiom to describe the Creator and creation, leaving great latitude on the questions of how and when. Prominent among “conflicts” which have influenced Judeo-Western thought are: Babylonian and Alexandrian conquests, Greek logic and paganism, Islamic scholarship, the Renaissance and Reformation, and the Age of Reason, including the atheistic materialism of David Hume. James Hutton, Hume's protege, developed the idea of sufficiency of natural causes in the absence of a creator. Lyell and Darwin then extended this substantive uniformitarianism to inorganic and organic evolution. Both Creationism and Darwinism are predicated on a dualistic cosmological model of an instant, miraculous creation versus a self-existent, evolving, Time-Energy-Matter universe. Darwinism draws from the earth evidence for change over eons of time, and assumes self-existence and chance causation. Creationism insists on an earth created young with the appearance or illusion of age, denying time and therefore chance. As debate rages, neither side seems willing to reexamine the Bible, which plainly teaches that God's purposes are normally worked out through natural law which has no existence apart from His sustaining will. The material Universe is, according to the Bible, the self-expression of a God who cannot lie.

We are at a crossroads where the time is ripe for the emerging Muslim thought to once again set the standard for universal participation and debate. My continual argument with Mona Abul-Fadl's concept of kairos in The American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences, Vol. 6, No. 1, (September 1989 supplement) is whether the openness of the discourse realm is a result of what Gai Eaton describes as the process of decomposition releasing explosive gases, where the "ripeness" is putridity, or a beneficial progress of ideas. Does postmodern deconstruction, decentralization, and destruction create a foothold for the remembering of Islam? Or will the Islamic discourse enter the scene to be trivialized and relativized in the encounter? From my perspective, I tie the movements of the paradigms to the political encounter with the other, where the self-described American establishment was forced to recognize the non-white, the non-male, the non-consumer. More sensitive to complexities, calmer in her approach, and without any reductionism or oversimplification, Mona Abul-Fadl recognizes the "mundane" links of ideas, but treats them with respect nevertheless. It is her insight to see in the tanzil, in the physical and already interpreted descent of the Qur'an and Sunnah, the one rope on which we may spin, in shaa Allah, the Islamic discourse for it to achieve grounding and affirmation in a world of chaos and alienation. We are in a time when a metacritique may now become possible, where the crisis in Western thought coincides with a dawning epistemic consciousness among Muslims. "We are living," she notes, "at the threshold of a critical era which is steadily being acknowledged as such. The designation 'postmodernity' indicates the direction of the transition away from the established canon of values and beliefs identified with the European Enlightenment." ...

This is a reading of Apresentação do rosto, of Herbert Helder, in wicth incursions by selfwriting are highlighted in order to consider the metalanguage involved in the subjective writing approach. To do so, we draw a short route passing by theorists who thought the autobiography, the self-portrait, and the intimate writing, in general, so that the questioning of generic categorizations will be problematized during the textual analysis. After that, we raise questions about the constitution of the writing subject by the relations between the “self” (that in the text is the “Author” in the process of writing, a man, a son) and the “others” (the “readers” in the process of lecture, the woman, the mother).

More than most of humanity, scholars are prone to sinking their feet into the quagmire of definition. Words are unpacked, nuances of meaning are debated, and discourses are interrogated. Post-developmentalists have been at the forefront of a re-examination of the languages of development and developmentalism. Arturo Escobar, for example, states that his desire is to analyze ‘regimes of discourse and representation’ (1995: 10). Jonathan Crush is similarly concerned with the so-styled discourse of development, and expresses the desire to make the ‘self-evident problematical’ (1995: 3). He highlights work in the humanities and social sciences which concerns itself with textual issues of writing and representation through which this discourse has been framed. Crush suggests that such textual analysis offers ‘new ways of understanding what development is and does, and why it seems so difficult to think beyond it’. He goes on to argue that ‘we need to not only understand why the language of development can be so evasive, even misleading, but also why so many people in so many parts of the world seem to need to believe it and have done so for so long’ (1995: 4).

Identity is seen as something important to humans in society, as it shows the origin of the self. Sometimes, someone cannot accept the identity that is attached to them, which will lead to the process of forming a new identity. This case also happens to the main character of The Scent of Sake, a novel by Joyce Lebra published in 2009. Rie Omura is not allowed to interfere in the sake making business, so that she tries to change that identity. Thus, this study aims to examine the process of identity formation that occurs in the character of a Japanese woman, represented by Rie. To answer the research problem, this study uses a textual analysis as the research methods. The theory used to assist the analysis is a perspective proposed by Žižek regarding the formation of subject’s identity to achieve the stage of authentic subject. The results show that in her efforts to unbind herself from the symbolic order, she makes attempts to rule the brewer house. However, her action cannot be categorized as a radical action since it cannot bring her out of the Symbolic. It confirms that Rie is failed to be an authentic subject. Keywords: Japanese Woman, Authentic Subject, Žižek, The Scent of Sake Identitas dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang penting bagi manusia yang hidup bermasyarakat karena menunjukkan asal-usul. Kata Kunci: Perempuan Jepang, Subjek Autentik, Žižek, The Scent of Sake

The essay deals with a fundamental aspect of D'Annunzio’s research which is the fusion of writing and figurative art, and its declination according to the dictates of end-century aesthetics. The study intends to highlight the stylistic and compositional modalities, in addition to the poetic purpose and ideological values, of the ecphrastic experimentation carried out in the transition between the debut novel (The Child of Pleasure) and the novel of superomismo (The Virgins of the Rocks). The textual analysis will examine how the portraits of female characters, constructed through the comparison with objects of art, rest at the same time on the narration of the effect produced on the Self of the protagonist who chooses and looks at these works of art. The vision turns out to be crystallized in verbal images which adorn the pages of the book which in turn becomes a museum and offers itself to the eye of the reader of the time, proposing a new aesthetic canon of Beauty. Riau is a wealthy region where physical development appears everywhere. However, many people are marginalized and neglected by this development. Due to this fact, most Riau Malay people tend to have negative prejudice and not accept the presence of foreign immigrants, including Indonesian Chinese. However, Olyrinson can blend in with the local community through his work, which often raises topics about humanity and his real-life. Using a three-dimensional framework of Fairclough (1989; 1992a; 1992b; 1995a; and 1995b), this study critically explores the various efforts made by Olyrinson in the short story "Jalan Sumur Mati" to defend his existence by changing prejudices. In this case, the author analyzes relevant texts and explores dialectical relationships between literary works and other social practice elements, which will be presented through textual analysis, discourse practice, and social practice.
