A Study on the Factors of Consumer Behavior on Hotel Green Marketing : Focusing on the millennial generation

Environment preservation is a global concern. Textile industry disposes of chemicals which effects environment and human life (water borne diseases). United Nations develops 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG's) to protect environment. Five SDG's addressing textile industry namely good health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, responsible production and consumption, climate action and life below water. Role of textile industry to achieve SDG's is inevitable. Textile policy of Pakistan 2014-19 confirms that international buyer is concerned about the environment which evidently shows potential of green marketing in textile sector of Pakistan. Green marketing encourages environment friendly marketing practices (product, price, place, promotion). The objective of this study is to integrate the theory of planned behavior and technology acceptance model. Green consumer behavior of textile sector of Pakistan is conceptualized with this extended lens. This study enhances the body of knowledge by conceptualizing green consumer behavior of textile sector through extended model. Practically, this study remains beneficial for marketing professionals and researchers to understand green consumer behavior of textile sector. Success of green marketing is the success of society to curb environmental problems.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the main green marketing approaches and their impact on consumer behavior towards the environment in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We reviewed the current consumption patterns of green products using a questionnaire approach. For this study, 359 consumers that used any type of green product were selected in various shopping malls in the UAE. For the assessment of questionnaire responses, measurement models, such as confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) approaches were applied. The findings of the study suggest interesting inferences regarding eco-labeling (EL), green packaging and branding (GPB), green products, premium, and pricing (GPPP), and the environmental concerns and beliefs (ECB) of consumers that affect their perceptions of the environment. Factor analysis provided a goodness of fit for the selected items. It was found that key factors of green marketing, such as EL and GPPP, have a significant positive influence on consumer beliefs towards the environment (CBTE). In addition, environmental concerns and beliefs (ECB) also have a significant and positive influence on CBTE in the UAE. The practical significance of this study is that it will help the progress of the integration of green marketing and consumer behavior theories about the environment. The managerial implications of this study include the provision of significant findings for both domestic and international firms for the promotion of green products through focusing on consumer behavior towards the environment. This study provides important guidelines to boost positive attitudes in society towards green marketing and helps companies develop effective strategies to promote their green products.

The world today is driven by an instant and easy lifestyle. This can be seen from the development of digital-based information technology so that information can be managed in real-time without human assistance by using an automated and sophisticated system. In this case, M-Banking can assist in accessing banking information and services quickly and easily. M-Banking users in the millennial generation of Mulawarman University are low. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the barriers that prevent the millennial generation of Mulawarman University from adopting M-Banking by implementing Innovation Resistance Theory (IRT). This study uses a quantitative method approach through filling out a questionnaire online involving 155 millennial generation respondents at Mulawarman University to empirically test the innovation resilience model. The results showed that of the six barriers studied, value barriers, traditional barriers and image barriers had a negative effect on adoption intentions. This journal contributes by applying less learned perspectives through innovation resistance theory to assist banks in a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and perceptions and helping banks to develop solutions to increase the adoption rate of M-Banking itself.

Tourism holds an important role as a major contribution for economy iof a country not least for Indonesia. Tourism activity can not be separated from the various tourism sectors are mutually supportive and integrated with one another so as to attract tourists to visit Indonesia. Hospitality industry is an important industry in tourism activity due to the hospitality industry is one industry that high contribute to the tourism sector particularly in Jakarta. Jakarta as the capital city of Republic of Indonesia has the potential to attract tourists to the fulfillment of needs in terms of lodging accommodations in great demand by the management of international chain hotels to expand its market share by establishing a network of hotels in Jakarta. The importance of the marketing strategy undertaken by the hotel a top priority with progress and about eco-friendly lifestyle imposed by the Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta. So in general the strategy undertaken by the Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta is the green marketing. Therefore, the research done in the hope that green marketing is a strategy of influence in the creation of green consumer behavior. In this study, the independent variable (X) is green marketing which has tree sub variable are green value-Addition process, green management systems, and green products. Vvariable (Y) is green consumer behavior. The study was conducted during six months from September 2011 until February 2012 by using systematic random sampling as technique sampling. The results showed that green marketing significantly influence green consumer behavior. Factors of green marketing that gives a large effect is green management systems in Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta and the lowest facors in green marketing is green products in Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta.

ABSTRACT               The research objective was to find out to determine the effect of green marketing on consumer behavior, influence of brand quality on consumer behavior, influence of brand quality on purchasing decisions, influence of green marketing on purchasing decisions, influence of consumer behavior on purchasing decisions, consumer behavior on the influence of green marketing on decisions purchase, knowing the mediation of consumer behavior on the effect of green marketing on purchasing decisions, knowing the mediation of consumer behavior on the influence of quality brands on purchasing decisions Data collection using semantic difference scale questionnaire. The research method used purposive sampling and accidental sampling using 140 people. Analysis method using SPSS 22. Using AMOS computer application version 22. The results of this study show that green marketing and quality brands have a positive and significant effect on consumer behavior, consumer behavior and brand quality have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, green marketing has a non-significant positive influence on purchasing decisions, consumer behavior can mediate the influence of green marketing and brand quality on decisions purchase at nike.
