The theoretical aspects of application of information and communication mechanism in the field of public transport are defined. The object of study is the field of public land transport services. The purpose of the article is to analyze the world experience in implementing information and communication mechanism and substantiate the need for the use of appropriate technologies in the public administration of the sphere of services in the land public transport in the capital city. The conceptual foundations of creating smart-cities are revealed. The attention is focused on the information and communication technologies as one of the areas of smart-specialization of the city of Kyiv. The world tendencies of introduction of the information-communication or smart-technologies are presented. The problems of functioning of urban transport system are revealed. The feasibility of introducing an intelligent transport system has been proved. The key issues that need to be addressed to improve the current situation in the field of the land public transport in the city of Kyiv are outlined. There is also an emphasis on improving the performance of the carrier-company. The relationship between the information- communication, regulatory, organizational, financial mechanisms is revealed. The need to involve the city dwellers in the development of the management decisions is emphasized.

The basic tasks of the public public transport operator include reliable and safe transport services under the concluded transport contract with the transport organizer. The entity acting as the operator is obliged to punctually adhere to timetables, it is possible provided that the operator has a rolling stock characterized by a high level of readiness for rolling stock. The paper attempts to assess the readiness of the public transport operator performing tasks in the city and the adjacent area with a total number of residents not exceeding one hundred thousand.

Public transportation is one of the sustainable form of transportation which provides mobility options for the people. The public transport services are very basic need of people’s lives, especially in developing world. It is the basic means for mobility of a large percent of people and hence it is the driving force of economic and social life. Quality of service, characterized by the Level-of-Service (LoS) is one of the major factors determining the demand for public transport. This study tries to determine the city-wide Level-of-Service provided by the public transport system using the service level benchmarks as a case study of Trivandrum city. The indicators for determining the Level-of-Service used in the study are presence of organized public transport system, availability or extend of public transport supply, service coverage, average waiting time, level of comfort in public transport and the fleet availability. This approach can be used to determine the LoS at the city-level and thus provides a measure for identifying the public transport quality of an urban area.

Madinat Al-Zahra is an ancient Arab palace located in Cordoba, Spain, which was proclaimed as part of the World Heritage of Humanity in 2018. The public administration must know the tourist motivations and interest in this heritage, as well as the satisfaction with Cordoba as destination and this Archaeological Ensemble. This article addresses these issues by analyzing and comparing motivations, expected and perceived value with the destination and those of the monument itself, using a Structural Equation Models methodology. Data was obtained from a survey of 375 tourists and the results showed that there is a high satisfaction with both destination and site, although these people perceive that this heritage is not integrated with the rest of the city attractions. In addition, the survey highlights that the transport system to the site is one of the most important weaknesses, among others. The results of this study offer valuable information related to this heritage.

Towards the end of 90s, mounting losses forced Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (MPSRTC), the sole provider of public transport in Madhya Pradesh, to suspend their urban services. As a consequence, organized public transport services ceased to exist in Indore, the largest metropolitan city of the state of Madhya Pradesh. This void was filled by Intermediate Public Transport (IPT) consisting of minibuses, tempos and auto rickshaws. As of January 2004, 300 private minibuses, 150 tempos, and 10,000 auto rickshaws were plying as IPT, but with poor service levels. Lack of public transport was a catalyst for rapid increase in personalized vehicles, and high level of pollution and accidents. Worried over the rapid growth of personalized vehicles, and high levels of pollution and accidents in Indore, policy makers and administrators had made several attempts of reviving the public transport system in the city. In 2005, the Collector and District Magistrate of Indore decided to make another attempt of reviving the public transport. The two cases, Indore City Bus Transport Service (A) and Indore City Bus Transport Service (B) discuss the complexity involved in the planning, rolling out, and running of public transport services in Indore on a sustainable basis. Case (A) details the prevalent socio-economic condition, travel characteristics, and positions taken by various stakeholders on provisioning of public transport service in Indore as of November 2005. The readers have to conceptualize the transport system for the city and take the position of the Collector and District Magistrate of Indore to prepare a note that would be submitted to the state cabinet for their approval. Case (B) discusses the challenges during the growth and operation of the services as of June 2008.

The transport system plays an important role in human activities and is an integral part of the successful functioning of the urbanized area. The increasing degree of provision of urban residents with transport services should at the same time keep the environment environmentally friendly and sustainable over time. The article is devoted to the issues of ensuring the rational functioning of the city transport system based on the development and implementation of an intelligent road infrastructure management system, the intellectual core of which are simulation models of problem areas of the road network. The objective of the study is the development of tools for organizing traffic in the conditions of the rapid growth of the fleet of vehicles. Research tasks were to analyze the research in the field of traffic management, to consider methods to reduce and prevent traffic jams on roads in general and in individual sections in particular. The following research methods were used: methods of system analysis, methods of modeling traffic flows, simulation, computer experiment. Achievements: the developed simulation model can be used to conduct a computer experiment in order to select the optimal parameters for the functioning of traffic lights on a specific section of the road network of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny

Introduction. Such variables as number of employees in marketing of organisation, value of marketing expenses, cost on innovation, the number of marketing staff, the share of marketing efforts which is undertaken in cooperation with the city council and different non-profit organizations, the marketing costs, the level of satisfaction of marketers, level of marketing potential, level of innovation potential are considered in this research. They are marketing factors that can affect the level of social impact of Ukrainian providers of urban public transport services. Purpose. The article aims to obtain the adequate econometric model which can demonstrate the relationship between marketing factors, innovation development and the non-economic effect of business entities which provide the urban public transport services. Method (methodology). The results of evaluation of social effect of Ukrainian providers of urban public transport services are evaluated on the basis of mathematical multifactor model. They are presented in the article. Results. The adequate econometric model has been worked out in this research. This model shows the relationship between controllable marketing factors and social effect has been presented in the article. We have determined the controllable marketing factors. They are number of employees and volunteers in marketing, the average monthly wage of employees in marketing, satisfaction of volunteers, total current assets of an organization, and the level of marketing potential. The model can be used to predict the level of social (ecological) impact of providers of urban public transport services in the Ukrainian society.

Abstract: In modern context the connectivity of transport system is very important and necessary in an urban and smart city. Due to more population and more vehicles in an urban city, it is not very easy to travel from one location to another location in smooth manner. Availability of different kind of transport mediums like metro, buses, auto, ola, uber etc. helps in travelling within the city by covering different locations. Metro is considered as the primarily best and easy medium for travelling with least congestion and stoppage points. After metro, bus and auto are the secondary public transport medium having frequently used by public on daily basis. Other private transit modes are also available like Ola, Uber and Rapido, who charge according to the travel length, journey time and availability of their service in that area. But if we compare all of them in terms of availability, reliability, speed and smoothness, metro is taken as best and safe way to travel without any hesitation. The connectivity of Lucknow city which is the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India, is having good connectivity in terms of metro and bus medium. But beside metro, due to lack of infrastructure and good management it is sometimes difficult to move from one part of the city to another part by other public transport system. This study will assess the different parameters of public transport system and it will provide the correlation between them.
