Digitalization of education system should not result in painful destruction of traditional approaches to teaching and learning. It is noted that it is necessary to continue using those forms of educational process which are familiar both for teachers and students. One of such forms is an online student conference. The aim of the research was to analyze different types of mistakes and errors made by Russian students as well as their main causes. The author deals with examples collected while listening to presentations at the international online conferences which were held at the faculties of biology at Perm State University and the university of Delta, USA. The methods used in the research include analysis, description, observation, comparison. The results of the research demonstrated that one of the most common causes of mistakes is language interference. It is concluded that the analysis of typical mistakes and errors helps the teacher to make the right choice of materials for drilling in class, which, in turn, is crucial for language competence development that makes effective professional communication possible.

Every person in this world has the right to be educated and by every person means every single person, yes, the persons of special needs as well. About 15 percent of the world’s population has suffered various forms of disabilities such as visual and hearing impairment, physically handicapped, or mental retardation. Literature provides pieces of evidence that this area of education is often neglected and therefore this qualitative research aimed to highlight the importance of inclusive education in Pakistan. As there were limited researches available and most of them are based on document analysis so, the 1st purpose of this research was to find out the problems that a teacher faced while teaching a special learner at a higher education level. 2nd to find out the student’s perspective of studying in an inclusive setting at the university level. For this purpose, a phenomenological design was used and both teachers and their students took interviews. Both teachers and students that obstruct teaching and learning in inclusive classrooms identified the following four zones. (a) Insufficient knowledge of teachers and lack of awareness about inclusion in the classroom. (b) Lack of training employed in inclusive or regular classrooms with differently-abled students; (c) Lack of examination to choose the most suitable aids which helpful for the teaching in the inclusive regular classroom. (d). Learning difficulty and psychological issues in the classroom.

The article focuses on the problems of teaching foreign languages (FL) to pre-service subject (other than foreign languages) teachers and highlights their possible solutions. A sustained discontent of both university teachers and students with the outcomes of FL classes gave impetus for a systematic, detailed study of the university FL education of the target group of learners. There was an acute need to develop well-grounded guidelines for the related course objectives, its content and adequate techniques intended for the target group of learners. The authors claim that the generally accepted English for Specific Purposes (ESP) or Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) models of university FL education cannot be applied in this context for a number of reasons. A limited amount of classroom time, lack of updated teaching materials, mixed-ability classrooms, and unclear perspectives of the future application of the FL skills made the study urgent. Therefore, the teachers of the English Language Department of the Petrozavodsk State University (Russia) developed a project that is described in the article; 152 students and six teachers participated in its implementation. The objective of the project was to introduce reasonable changes into the approaches, the aims, the content, and the techniques for rational and effective FL teaching and learning in this context. The authors identified priorities of the university FL education in line with the context and the target learner characteristics. The article presents arguments in favor of the introduced changes, describes the phases of the project work, and gives details of all the constituents of the proposed curriculum. Based on the outcomes of the project, the authors conclude that it is necessary to undertake further research steps in this direction.

The English language is considered to be the global language of communication and professional activity in the field of Economics. One of the effective techniques of professional communicative competence is Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The aim of the research is to elaborate the model of CLIL for students of Economics at the Volga State University of Technology. Such methods as theoretical (literature review, analysis, generalization, comparison, interpretation, analogy, modeling), general empiric (study and generalization of teaching practices), specific empiric (questionnaires, testing, observation, documents review) statistical (processing of questionnaires and testing results) proved successful in the course of research. The undertaken research allowed identifying the interest of the majority of teachers and students of Economics in using the English language when teaching and learning some subject-matter disciplines. Consequently, it is possible to make a conclusion concerning the necessity of taking some special measures such as preliminary language courses, meeting the organizational and financial requirements. The research results have allowed to establish that the intermediate (according to the scale ‘soft-hard’) subject-led model is the most appropriate for the implementation in the educational process of students of Economics at the Volga State University of Technology. For this purpose, the authors elaborated the conceptual didactic CLIL model.

The problems of image are now becoming a strategic management concern for higher educational institutions since they affect the level of satisfaction and loyalty of all parties interacting with the institutions. Efficient image management can be critical to the survival and success of an organization in the context of government funding reduction and a highly competitive environment. The article analyzes the results of a survey on the Anketolog.ru platform which involved 52 respondents and was aimed at collecting the expert commentaries of potential employers engaged as tutors in the educational process at Baikal State University (BSU). The survey revealed assessments of the quality of training provided by the system of higher education, assessment of the current BSU’s graduates employment efficiency, as well as the level of BSU’s graduates’ satisfaction with the quality of their training and skill level. The «word cloud» method enabled the authors to determine what skills (competencies) obtained by the graduates the potential employers consider the most important, and to find the right wording for them and for the relevant courses to be included in the academic programs. Therefore, the analysis of the survey results provided the data on the demand for specialists trained at the university and the requirements for their skills and characteristics expected by potential employers, which helps to determine possible strategic prospects for BSU’s cooperation with potential employers in the 5-year period to come. Though the results of the study are of a practical value for Baikal State University, they might be useful for any university to build up its image.

Mobile technology is now part of the everyday life of teachers and students and thus tends to become an inseparable part of the educational activities. Teachers and students are increasingly using mobile technologies in teaching and learning. Therefore, it is purposeful to responsibly integrate technologies into the educational process. However, technical and pedagogical support is necessary in order to facilitate both teacher and students’ understanding of this educational potential. Besides, it is still very little known and there is very little evidence about the effectiveness of the application of these technologies in the teaching/learning process. This research aims to explore the perceptions of Romanian and Lithuanian teachers regarding the use of mobile technologies in education. Keywords: motivation to learn, mobile technology, preliminary study, science education, science teachers.
