The article analyzes the topic of scientific production of Ukrainian scientists, which discusses the methodology of research on the problems of education management in the period from the second half of the twentith century to the beginning of the twenty-first century. The sample of analyzed scientific literature incorporated the peculiarities of the development of methodological knowledge and theory of methodology for the study of educational management problems in Ukrainian science. Scientific and methodological literature, monographs, theses and articles on the methodology of pedagogical research, which is the basis of the methodology of educational management research, are included in the review in addition to scientific products devoted directly to the methodology of educational management research. Some studies on the methodology of cognition and research methodology of other sciences, which include the subject of education management, were also analyzed. The direction of the topic, the dynamics of its change and distribution are considered, the comparison with the subject of scientific production on the methodology of research of other humanities, the methodology of pedagogical research, etc. are observed according to the periods defined by the author. The conclusions are based on the obtained results in general features of the development of methodological knowledge in accordance with the logic of science development. It has been found out that the concept of “methodology” has appeared in the titles of publications since the 1980-s, which testifies to the separation of methodology from the philosophy and logic of science and its recognition by scientists as an independent scientific field. The revealed changes in the directions of the topic illustrate that the formation of theoretical knowledge is preceded by the accumulation of empirical knowledge. The development of methodology of the research of education management problems, its formation features are outlined. The thematic of periods and types of science products are systematized. Particular attention is drawn to finding out which components of methodological knowledge manifest the peculiarities of methodology up to the specific science field. The specifics of methodology of education management problems research are identified for the tasks and the subject of the research in the field of education management. Changes in the funding and delivery of Ph.D educational management programmes at the university level, in recent years has resulted to significant changes in the role performance of Ph.D supervisors for successful completion rates. This paper assessed the role performance of supervisors of Ph.D in education management research. The purpose of the study was to specifically determine the role performance of Ph.D supervisors in formulation of the study, establishing the methods of study, discussing the results, presentation of seminars and conferences, publication of journal articles and writing of the dissertation in universities of North Eastern Nigeria. Six research questions guided the study. A sample size of 180 comprising of 80 Ph.D supervisors and 100 Ph.D students was utilized for the study. Data was collected using a researcher developed instrument from the six variables of Ph.D supervisor’s role performance. The findings of the study show that Ph.D supervisors role performance in formulating the study, establishing the methods of study, discussing the results, presentation of seminars and conferences, publication of journal articles, writing of dissertation and general role performance was high. The study concluded that Ph.D supervisors performed their general role performance in all the stages of supervision for timely and successful completion rates in education management research. The study recommended assessment of the student’s role performance for successful and timely Ph.D educational management research completion rates in North Eastern Nigeria.

O estudo do Planejamento familiar, no contexto da bioética, abre-se para diversas perspectivas, entre elas a valorização dos seus diferentes atores. Situado neste contexto o artigo tem como objetivo identificar o perfil de gênero na produção científica sobre Planejamento Familiar no Brasil, entre 2000 e 2014, assim como a área de formação e especialização dos autores. Foram utilizadas metodologias que permitiram mapear o estado da arte do tema estudado, a partir de uma revisão da literatura. O resultado da pesquisa identifica que a produção científica sobre Planejamento Familiar no Brasil se compõe de perfil destacadamente feminino (71,76%). Dos 73 artigos analisados, 42 (57,53%) o foco do tema está direcionado à mulher assim como evidencia-se a área de ciências da saúde com maior concentração das publicações do tema.  Este aspecto da pesquisa abre para uma realidade complexa onde se buscam criticamente as razões para a pesquisa em Planejamento Familiar ter ênfase na mulher e ser um tema de relevância nas ciências da saúde.Palavras-chave: Produção científica, Planejamento Familiar, Gênero.  ABSTRACT: The study of Family Planning, in the context of bioethics, opens to diverse perspectives, among them the appreciation of their different agents. Situated in this context the article aims to identify the profile of gender in scientific literature on Family Planning in Brazil, between 2000 and 2014, as well as the area of training and specialization of the authors. Methodologies were used which allowed to map the State of the art of the subject studied, from a review of the literature. The results found identify that the scientific production on Family Planning in Brazil is formed with a outstandingly female profile (71,76%). Of the 73 articles examined, 42 (57.53%) the focus of the topic is directed to women as well as showing the health sciences area with highest concentration of publications. This aspect of the research opens to a complex reality where we seek critically the reasons for Research in Family Planning have emphasis on woman and be a topic of relevance in health sciences.Keywords: Scientific Production, Family Planning, Gender.

AbstractThis review reports the Brazilian history in astrobiology, as well as the first delineation of a vision of the future development of the field in the country, exploring its abundant biodiversity, highly capable human resources and state-of-the-art facilities, reflecting the last few years of stable governmental investments in science, technology and education, all conditions providing good perspectives on continued and steadily growing funding for astrobiology-related research. Brazil is growing steadily and fast in terms of its worldwide economic power, an effect being reflected in different areas of the Brazilian society, including industry, technology, education, social care and scientific production. In the field of astrobiology, the country has had some important landmarks, more intensely after the First Brazilian Workshop on Astrobiology in 2006. The history of astrobiology in Brazil, however, is not so recent and had its first occurrence in 1958. Since then, researchers carried out many individual initiatives across the country in astrobiology-related fields, resulting in an ever growing and expressive scientific production. The number of publications, including articles and theses, has particularly increased in the last decade, but still counting with the effort of researchers working individually. That scenario started to change in 2009, when a formal group of Brazilian researchers working with astrobiology was organized, aiming at congregating the scientific community interested in the subject and to promote the necessary interactions to achieve a multidisciplinary work, receiving facilities and funding from the University de Sao Paulo and other funding agencies.

n the second half of the 19th century – especially in the period following the introduction of the Academic Constitution of 1869, and in the 1880s and continuing until the forced closure of Theological Academies after the Revolutionary coup – the historical and liturgical research area in Russian academic science experienced a period of its formation and flourishing. The subject of the article is a comparison of approaches to the study of the worship service history and analysis of the formation of the research methodology for teaching Liturgics by professors N.V. Pokrovsky and I.A. Karabinov of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, where they taught the history of Christian worship from the 1880’s until its forced closure in 1918. Analysis and juxtapos- ing of academic courses in Liturgics allows defining the boundaries and content of the discipline in the period of its formation as well as considering the evolu- tion in research methodology and, more broadly, the formation of the Russian historical and liturgical scientific school. A comparison of the courses reveals the authors attitudes towards histori- cal sources material and its studies. Their own ideas about the provenance of various rites used in church worship characterize their views on the develop- ment of the liturgical tradition, expressing their approaches to its study and thereby form our picture of the establishment of historical Liturgics as a field of researchable knowledge.

Abstract Objective: To analyze the apprehensions of nurse managers in the implementation of the Evidence Based Practice in a Teaching Hospital of Triângulo Mineiro. Method: Qualitative research guided by the Theory of the Diffusion of Innovations. Five workshops were conducted per focal group (n = 18 participants), conducted by hermeneutic-dialectic interactions between August and September/2016. Textual records resulting from each workshop were analyzed by semantic categories. Results: Aspects conditioning to the implementation of the Evidence Based Practice permeate from elements related to the fragmentation of the care network to the necessary expansion of the governability of the nurse managers to put changes into practice in their sectors. Most importantly, timely access to the results of research conducted at the teaching hospital was mentioned as crucial to guide better practices. Final considerations: The approach allowed the recognition of contextual conditions for the implementation of the Evidence-Based Practice, which may coincide with similar scenarios, as well as increase the national scientific production on the subject, which is still scarce.

Se presentan los conceptos y definiciones fundamentales relacionados con la metodología de la investigación científica. Se maneja el concepto de la toma de los datos válidos como un requisito básico en cualquier trabajo científico. Se pone a disposición del lector un modelo denominado el ECOEE que es una herramienta poderosa para establecer puntos de comparación e discusión entre los resultados de diferentes trabajos científicos. Finalmente, ofrece unas sugerencias de que hacer o no hacer en cuanto a realizar un trabajo de investigación.Key words: ECOEE, methods, research, Science Abstract.The aim of this paper is not to conduct a thorough literature search on the subject material, but to stress the fundamentals of the scientific methodology along with the philosophical and ethical issues thereof. The basic concepts and definitions in relation to research methodology are presented. The concept of data collection as a basic requisite in any scientific work is discussed. The ECOEE model as a strong tool in establishing different points of view and comparison among the results of different scientific works are laid out. Finally, some tips and suggestions are given as what to do or to avoid in conducting scientific research.
