Many formulations for the composition of 2 Sam 10–20 suggest that 2 Sam 10–12, or part thereof, are a later addition to an earlier text. It is argued that such an addition is likely to be from the monarchic period and, perhaps counter-intuitively in light of the subject material, supports an ideology of the Davidic dynasty. In 2 Sam 13–20, David is unaccountably weak and slow to quash the coup of his son Absalom. With the inclusion of 2 Sam 12:1–15, David is subject to God’s sovereignty, but divine favour is assured; and threats from the people in his kingdom, from Benjaminites and from within his own family have no possibility of success except as the instrument of divine retribution. A reading of the text is also considered in a post-monarchic period, where forgiveness and restoration after retribution had potential to bring comfort during and after exile.

This article proposes a Proportional, Integral, and Derivative (PID) learning controller for rigid robotic disk grinding mechanism. It has been observed that the stiffness of the robotic arm for a grinder has a direct correlation with the sensitivity of the grinding forces. It is also drastically influenced by the end-effector path tracking error resulting in limited accuracy of the robot. The error in robot’s accuracy is also increased by external interferences, such as surface imperfections and voids in the subject material. These errors can be mitigated via efficient feedback. In the proposed methodology, the controller gain is tuned by implementing a learning-based methodology to PID controllers. The learning control for the robotic grinding system helps by progressively decreasing error between the actual grinded paths and required trace. Experimental results demonstrate that as the grinder machines the required path iteratively, its grinding accuracy improves due to the learning algorithm.

Background. Cystic lesions of the spleen are not an uncommon pathology, however, until now clear criteria for the scope of surgical interventions are not clearly defined and depend on a number of anatomical and clinical features of this pathology, and laparoscopic resection is still a surgical challenge. Purpose. Preliminary analysis of the results of laparoscopic resection of spleen cysts, as well as the study of the current literature on the subject. Material and methods. This article presents a clinical case from the authors' personal experience with the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with a spleen cyst. Laparoscopic method was used in surgical treatment. In selecting it, a number of relevant medical literature was studied and analyzed. Results. As a result of a successful laparoscopic resection the patient managed to save such an important organ for homeostasis maintenance as the spleen. Postoperative complications were also avoided. Conclusions. Organ-preserving and minimally invasive interventions should remain the priority at the current stage of surgery development. In the treatment of such pathology as spleen cysts, planned approach is preferable, which allows for maximum preoperative diagnosis. It should take into account the etiology and localization of the cyst, as well as the peculiarities of blood supply to the spleen in a particular patient.

(1) Background: Hormone-dependent events that occur throughout spermatogenesis during postnatal testis maturation are significant for adult male fertility. Any disturbances in the T/DHT ratio in male progeny born from females fertilized by finasteride-treated male rats (F0:Fin) can result in the impairment of testicular physiology. The goal of this work was to profile the testicular transcriptome in the male filial generation (F1:Fin) from paternal F0:Fin rats. (2) Methods: The subject material for the study were testis from immature and mature male rats born from females fertilized by finasteride-treated rats. Testicular tissues from the offspring were used in microarray analyses. (3) Results: The top 10 genes having the highest and lowest fold change values were mainly those that encoded odoriferous (Olfr: 31, 331, 365, 633, 774, 814, 890, 935, 1109, 1112, 1173, 1251, 1259, 1253, 1383) and vomeronasal (Vmn1r: 50, 103, 210, 211; Vmn2r: 3, 23, 99) receptors and RIKEN cDNA 5430402E10, also known as odorant-binding protein. (4) Conclusions: Finasteride treatment of male adult rats may cause changes in the testicular transcriptome of their male offspring, leading to a defective function of spermatozoa in response to odorant-like signals, which are recently more and more often noticed as significant players in male fertility.

The article considers the linguadidactical possibilities of using video materials in the educational process and substantiates the expediency of their use in German language classes. It is established that working with video materials mainly promotes the development of skills and abilities of listening and speaking, as well as actively contributes to the formation and further development of socio-cultural competence. The use of video in the classroom allows to individualize learning and intensify the selfdirected work of students. The introduction of video materials in the classroom also provides opportunities to create an artificial foreign language environment at any time and stage of study, adds a sense of realism, and promotes the development of audile and memory. Recently, there has been a notable increase of interest in educational videos as an effective means of teaching a foreign language, and the effectiveness of using video in German classes depends on the level of language training of students, thorough thematic selection of films and educational goals. The potential of videos is fully exploited if you integrate different activities. The most active and truly creative form of modern video work is the independent creation and viewing of video episodes. Working with video removes even a small risk of passive-receptive consumption of information, as well as increases the role of independent creative work. Preparatory explanatory conversations about the video are more useful than watching and working on the video itself, which can often only be an occasion for real communication and facilitate further understanding of the film. In addition, the effectiveness of foreign language teaching by this tool is also facilitated by the technical capabilities of video. Methodological processes based on the perception of image and sound can be used to achieve various goals of educational activities, development of creative abilities and skills through exercises for commenting and making dialogues. The use of video contributes to a more effective coverage of new language and subject material, strengthening and practical application of knowledge, the formation of receptive capabilities, executive skills and productive word use. Also, the use of video materials introduces elements of novelty, significantly expands and diversifies classes, increases cognitive activity and motivation of students, interests them in learning a particular topic and a foreign language in general
