Sunan Sendang Duwur was one of the mayors whose role was equated with Walisongo in broadcasting Islam in Java. Sunan Sendang preaches culturally by acculturating the culture that has tradition in Sendang Duwur Village and internalizing it with Islamic values. His teachings about "mlakuho in the right, ilingo wong kang sak burimu" (walk on the right path, and remember the person who is behind you) until now is still relevant which is acculturated with the local culture is a tradition of selametan and sedekahan filled with tahlil recitation and bancaan. In addition, the Sendang Duwur Mosque whose vulnavular architecture is Joglo and acculturated with Javanese Hindu culture is also a trace of Sunan Sendang Duwur's cultural propaganda. This study discusses the toponymy and geographical location of Sendang Duwur, the history of restoration, architectural review, decoration and decoration and the significance of the Sendang Duwur site for Islamization in Java. The method in this study is a qualitative method with a historical approach by looking at and studying all aspects of the character's life. With this perspective, it is hoped that the topography and geographical location, history of restoration, architectural review, decoration and decoration and the significance of the Sendang Duwur site for Islamization in Java will be revealed.

Abstrak Sunan Sendang Duwur salah seorang waliyullah yang peranannya disejajarkan dengan Walisongo dalam menyiarkan Islam di Tanah Jawa. Sunan Sendang berdakwah secara kultural mengakulturasikan budaya yang mentradisi di Desa Sendang Duwur dan menginternalisasikan nya dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Ajarannya tentang “mlakuho dalan kang benar, ilingo wong kang sak burimu” (berjalanlah di jalan yang benar, dan ingatlah pada orang yang ada di belakangmu) hingga kini masih relevan yang berakulturasi dengan budaya setempat adalah tradisi selametan dan sedekahan yang diisi dengan pembacaan tahlil dan bancaan. Selain itu Masjid Sendang Duwur yang arsitekturnya vulnavular Joglo dan berakulturasi dengan budaya Hindu Jawa juga merupakan  jejak dakwah kultural Sunan Sendang Duwur. Dalam penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengkaji dakwah kultural Sunan Sendang Duwur yang penuh kedamaian di mana salah satu metode dakwahnya adalah tut wuri handayani lan tut wuri hangiseni. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan sejarah dengan melihat dan mengkaji seluruh aspek kehidupan sang tokoh. Dengan perspektif ini, diharapkan dapat diungkap keseluruhan sosok Sunan Sendang Duwur, mulai dari latar belakang keluarga, latar sosial, pendidikan, peranannya dalam dakwah kultural di Desa Sendang Duwur Paciran Lamongan yang hingga kini dakwahnya masih terimplimentasi dan diterapkan dalam kehidupan tradisi dan budaya masyarakat Sendang Duwur.---Abstract Sunan Sendang Duwur one Waliyullah whose role is aligned with the broadcast Walisongo Islam in Java. In this study sought to examine the cultural propaganda Sunan Spring Duwur peaceful where one method of preaching is wuri Handayani lan tut tut wuri hangiseni.Metode in this study is a qualitative method approach by looking at the history and examines all aspects of the life of the hero. With this perspective, is expected to reveal the overall figure of Sunan Sendang Duwur, ranging from family background,social background,education, its role in preaching the cultural village Spring Duwur Paciran Lamongan, which till now his preaching had done implementation and applied in the life of the tradition and culture of the people Sendang Duwur.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengapa qanun jinayat menggunakan emas murni sebagai standar dalam jarimah maisir dan uqubat denda terhadap pelaku jinayat. Selain itu, apa menjadi dasar filosofis, yuridis, dan sosiologis bagi penentuan standar uqubat denda terhadap pelaku jinayat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uqubat emas murni yang terdapat dalam Qanun Jinayat tidak terlepas dari sejarah masyarakat Aceh yang kental dengan nilai keislaman, sehingga uqubat emas murni yang dikenal dalam Islam diambil juga dalam qanun. Terdapat tiga faktor yang mempengaruhi penetapan uqubat emas murni yang terdapat dalam qanun Aceh, yaitu faktor filosofis, yuridis, dan sosiologis. Pure Gold Uqubat In Jinayat Qanun This study aims to find out why the qanun Jinayat uses pure gold as the standard in jarimah maisir and uqubat (fines) against perpetrators of jinayat. Moreover, what is philosophical, juriditical, and sociological basis for determining the uqubat standard for fines for jinayat perpetrators. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative method. The results showed that pure gold uqubat contained in jinayat qanun is inseparable from the history of the Achenese which is thick with islamic values, so the pure gold uqubat is also taken from qanun. There are three factors that influece the establishment of pure gold uqubat stipulate in Aceh qanun, namely philosophical, juridical, and sociological factors.

Abstract Buton was a maritim sultanate in Southeast Sulawesi. It had a strategic location because it was a centre of transit and trade in Nusantara and Asia. This situation caused cultural contact and arose new Butonese culture. A kind of cultural product is literate tradition using such as Jawi script (Arabic-Malay) that appeared from interaction of local culture, the Butonese, with islam. In history of Buton many kitab was writen in Jawi script including Kitab Sarana Walio. Taking descriptive-qualitative method, the writer analyze Jawi script that was used in Sarana Walio text. This analyze was related with cultural context that underlied the appearance of this script. This research has found the system of writing with Jawi script in this manuscript. Based on ortographic system, Jawi script in Sarana Walio is not different from ortography of Arabic-Malay system in Nusantara. Graphem consist of consonant and vocal which is symbolized by huruf saksi, not punctuation. Meanwhile, there’s inconsistence in the case of word writing in manuscript. ---Abstrak Buton merupakan kesultanan maritim di Sulawesi Tenggara yang memiliki letak strategis karena menjadi pusat persinggahan dan perdagangan Nusantara dan Asia. Hal ini tentu saja menyebabkan terjadinya kontak budaya yang memunculkan bentuk-bentuk kebudayaan baru di masyarakat Buton. Salah satunya adalah tradisi tulis aksara Jawi (Arab-Melayu) yang lahir dari interaksi budaya lokal masyarakat Buton dengan Islam. Banyak kitab dalam sejarah Buton yang ditulis dalam aksara Jawi, di antaranya Kitab Sarana Walio. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif, penulis mengkaji aksara Jawi dalam teks Sarana Walio, dihubungkan dengan konteks budaya yang melatari munculnya aksara tersebut. Penelitian telah menemukan adanya sistem penulisan aksara Jawi dalam naskah tersebut. Ditinjau dari ortografinya, aksara Jawi dalam Sarana Walio tidak berbeda dengan sistem ejaan Arab-Melayu pada umumnya di Nusantara. Grafem terdiri atas grafem konsonan dan grafem vokal yang dilambangkan dengan huruf saksi, tidak dengan tanda baca. Selain itu, ada inkonsistensi penyalin naskah dalam penulisan beberapa kata.DOI: 10.15408/al-turas.v23i1.4794

Muhammad Natsir is an Indonesian thinker and politician, including those who take note. He prefers to combine the concept of Western democracy with Islamic values, thus bringing up the concept of theistic democracy. While on the other hand there is Muhammad Abid al-Jabiri who feels that democracy is a 'necessity' for every nation. The argument he built was not because of the compatibility between democracy and Islam, but rather because of the reality faced by the Arabs. Natsir and al-Jabiri were religious nationalists who fought for democracy. Because this research is a study of the history of thought, the approach used is a socio-historical approach, which is an approach used to determine the socio-cultural and socio-political background of a character, because the thought of a character is the result of interaction with the environment. Natsir uses the reconstruction method while al-Jabiri uses the deconstruction method. Both are included in the category of reformistic typology thinkers, namely those who believe that turâŝ and modernity are both good. Therefore, trying to harmonize tour and modernity by not violating common sense and rational standards.

This study aims to determined and described the legal history of forest management in Indonesia. For this study, regulation of the forest will be analyzed in each period of Indonesia legal history, namely the early days of independence, the old order regim, the new order regim, and the reformation era. Method use in this study is normative study, by using statute approach and historical approach. Result of this study can be describe that the legal history of forest arrangement in Indonesia was dynamics, comprises: the control of state toward the land including the customary land/customary forest based on the the right of state to control as stipulated in the 1945 Constitution, and the recognition of the indigineous legal community toward their customary forest.

ABSTRAK Kajian tentang nilai-nilai islam dan kaitannya dengan pembentukan kesadaran nasionalisme menjadi menarik untuk dikaji karena: peran ulama dan para pejuang muslim tersebut tidak lepas dari semangat untuk keluar dan lepas dari penjajahan. Peran para pejuang Islam baik yang berjuang secara fisik maupun yang berjuang dengan pemikiran melalui pena perlu dikaji untuk mengetahui secara historis peran ulama yang sangat penting dalam pencapaian kemerdekaan dan pembentukan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: bagaimanakah gagasan pembentukan kesadaran kebangsaan para tokoh bangsa ditinjau dari sisi sejarah hukum? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode hukum normatif dengan pendekatan sejarah hukum. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori sejarah hukum yang dikembangkan oleh Karl von Savigny. Kesimpulan penelitian yang diperoleh adalah: pemikiran K. von Savigny yang melihat sebuah perubahan dari bentuk yang primitif menuju sebuah bentuk modern juga terlihat dalam proses pembentukan kesadaran nasionalisme Indonesia. ABSTRACT The study of Islamic values and their relation to the formation of nationalism awareness is interesting to study because: the role of the ulama and Muslim warriors is inseparable from the spirit to get out and escape from colonialism. The role of Islamic fighters, both those who struggle physically and those who struggle with ideas through a pen, needs to be examined to find out historically the role of the ulema which is very important in the achievement of independence and the formation of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The formulation of the problem in this study is: how is the idea of forming national awareness among national figures in terms of the history of law? The research method used is a normative legal method with a historical approach to law. The theory used in this study is the theory of legal63 history developed by Karl von Savigny. The conclusions of the research obtained are: K. von Savigny's thought which saw a change from primitive to modern patterns was also seen in the process of shaping Indonesian nationalism awareness.

Islam plays an essential role in forming and shaping an Islamic country. Similarly, Brunei Darussalam, an Islamic country, has made every effort to inculcate Islamic values ​​in various aspects of the country's management and administration. This concept paper aims to provide exposure regarding the role of Islam in the management and administration of Brunei Darussalam by describing the history of the arrival of Islam in Brunei Darussalam and the role of Islam in the management and administration of the country. This concept paper uses a qualitative method in the form of a library concerning secondary sources only. The results of the study found that the leadership of the Sultan is a major factor that contributes to the strong application of Islamic teachings in the management and administration of the country, and among the five main aspects that receive the influence of Islamic teachings are aspects of government and administration, administration of Islamic law, religious institutions, Islamic education, and economy. The effect of the application of Islamic teachings has strengthened the country's identity to become an Islamic state.

The religious phenomenon of Islam in post-reform Indonesia is thought to have experienced extremism and radicalism. The explosion of terrorism in the name of Islam that occurred between 1998 and 2018 made the face of Indonesian Islam in the world. Whereas in fact Islam in Indonesia is Islam that promotes moderate principles (tawassuth / washatiah) in preaching, namely taking a middle ground between the opposite two extreme poles. Da’wah method of Washatiyatul Islam or Moderation of Islam is a method of da’wah that emphasizes the Islamic values of Rahmatan Lil Alamin. Da’wah is friendly with tradition, so it can grow in a multicultural and multi-religious society. It is this characteristic of accommodative Islam that is the stronghold of the prevention of radical religious ideas. This article using the epistemological-historical-holisitic approach wants to explore the concept of moderation of Islam in the context of the Indonesian nation and the shallowness of religious reasoning. As a result, none of the strong references say that the spread of Islam in ancient Archipelago was by radical means. The history of Islam in the archipelago has struggled with diverse localities. Islam is not present to break down or chop away existing traditions and local culture, but try to dialect with the context in which Islam is located. Because of its flexible nature, Islam is able to survive and develop so that it raises a new Islamic style that is unique and does not exist in any part of the world.

On its arrival in Jambi, Islam had interacted with the indigenous culture. Through pacifique penetration, Islam influenced local society and socio-cultural institutions. Islam used the traditional poem of seloka which is a form of the Malay spoken literature as a medium to spread out the Islamic values and thoughts. Islam even became the main source in establishing the Jambi's local culture and wisdom. The study explains da’wah in local wisdom of traditional poem of seloka (seloko, Jambinese) Jambi Malay.  Using qualitative method by reading and learning the main research sources of descriptive data which were manuscripts of traditional poem of seloka. Interview with resource persons who were competent on content and value of the poems were also conducted to enhanche the  interpretation on data. The  conclusion of the study finds that the da’wah movement based on local wisdom brought about tightly bound relation between Islam and Jambi Malay Culture; Islamic value were modified into traditional law that commonly use seloka. The reality shows there is harmony between  the local culture and the Quran  and Sunnah.      Islam mempengaruhi masyarakat dan institusi sosial-budaya setempat. Dengan memanfaatkan seloko adat yang merupakan salah satu bentuk sastera lisan Melayu, bahasa sastera ini menjadi alat penyemai nilai dan ajaran Islam, sehingga pada akhirnya agama ini menjadi sumber utama bagi pembentukan adat dan kearifan lokal. Artikel ini menjelaskan dakwah dalam kearifan lokal seloko adat Melayu Jambi. Islam sejak awal kedatangannya telah berinteraksi dengan budaya setempat. Lewat penetrasi damai (pacifique penetration), Menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini berupaya mempelajari dan memahami naskah seloko adat dan kaitannya dengan kearifan lokal dan dakwah Islam. Wawancara ke beberapa tokoh penting dilakukan sebagai bagian dari pengayaan data untuk memahami  lebih lanjut mengenai isi dan nilai seloko. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa akibat adanya gerakan dakwah yang berkearifan lokal dalam budaya Melayu Jambi terdapat hubungan yang erat antara Islam dan budaya masyarakat melayu Jambi; seperti  adanya modifikasi nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam hukum adat yang umumnya menggunakan bahasa seloko. Realitas itu menunjukan adanya harmoni antara budaya lokal dengan Alquran dan Sunnah Rasul.

Haji Abdul Karim Amrullah is an Islamic reformer from Minangkabau who played a significant role in dawah and tabligh in the spirit of purifying the practice of Islamic values from the practice of bid’ah, taqlîd, and khurafat. His struggle was in line with the philosophy of traditional Minangkabau ‘adat basandi syara’, syara’ basandi kitabullah’. Haji Abdul Karim Amrullah who was known as Haji Rasul preached Islamic teaching both in oral and in writing. Along with Kaum Mudo Minangkabau (the youth of Minangkabau), he shared his thoughts through the Al-Munir magazine. He enforced the foundation of Islamic reformation through education by establishing Surau Jembatan Besi (Madrasah Sumatra Thawalib) and Muhammadiyah as social foundations that concern about the nation. This study examines the figure and the role of Haji Rasul in the development and renewal of Islam in Minangkabau. By employing qualitative method, particularly the historical approach, this study investigates all aspects of Haji Rasul’s life. With this perspective, the profile of Haji Rasul is intensively revealed, ranging from his family background, social background, education, patterns of thought, religious works, dawah activities, his role in education, his institutions, and his impact to the society.
