General data about processes of creation and formation of stocks of amber in the territory of Ukraine are presented. Background for the problem of illegal amber mining was specified. Illegal amber mining using motor pumps led to destruction of the soil and also to sharp deterioration of water-physical properties. it is also accompanied by the loss of many available biophilic elements and water-soluble organic compounds, in addition loosing a main substrate for soil microorganisms. There was analysed a traditional methods of soil reclamation and after that it was noticed that those methods is inefficient and, for the most, impossible to make it. The Urgent need to adopt the law of Ukraine "On land reclamation" was argued. I emphasize the need of gradual differentiation of legal terms, such as land plot «ground», «land plot » and also «soil». It was given an important attention of land reclamation. The main methods of land reclamation that have been negatively affected by amber mining have been studied. I proved that the choice of the direction of use of ex-used deposits should be based primarily on the ecological and economic feasibility of reclamation.

The article analyzes the current state of the irrigation and drainage systems of the Ryazan region. It is shown that the lack of technical operation of the drainage network led to its failure and failure to perform its functions. Irrigation, in spite of the fact that it gives stability in the years of droughts due to aging and the dismantling of machinery and equipment is not carried out. It is shown that for the reconstruction and / or modernization of irrigation and drainage systems it is necessary on the basis of inventory to determine the environmentally optimal and economically viable systems, their parts and structures that require rehabilitation, reconstruction and / or modernization. The decision to reconstruct may include not only the ameliorative system as a whole, but also some part of it, for example, a canal, pipeline or a separate hydraulic structure, taking into account the justification of economic feasibility. In dry periods, for the Meshcherskaya lowland and areas with peat soils, it is necessary to provide for land-reclamation systems for dual regulation of soil moisture, which reduces the possibility of peat ignition and the spread of fire. It should be borne in mind that the reconstruction of land-reclamation systems has its specific features, which include: socio-economic (increasing the productivity of agricultural land, obtaining additional income, creating modern infrastructure, increasing employment, living conditions, labor, etc.) ; ecological (creation of cultural landscapes, ensuring their ecological sustainability, prevention of land degradation processes, improvement of recreational conditions, elimination of waterlogging, flooding, salinization, erosion, etc.). Reclamation activities are carried out in compliance with the requirements of land, water, forestry legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as the legislation of the Russian Federation on the protection of the environment, on the subsurface, on the plant world and on the animal world.

Magnetic composite based on poly(oxy-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) (PODMP) was prepared by melting the polymer with ε-caprolactam in a presence of fine magnetite particles. Magnetic PODMP was used for sorption of water soluble organic compounds (dyes belonging to triphenylmethane, heteropolycyclic and azo dye groups) from water solutions. There were considerable differences in the binding of the dyes tested. In general, heteropolycyclic dyes exhibited the lowest sorption.

A brief technical and economic insight into producing the water-soluble yellow colorant limocitrol 3-O-6”-[3-hydroxyl-3-methylglutaryl)])-β-D-glucopyranoside from waste lemon peel via simple solid-liquid extraction in aqueous ethanol or via hydrodynamic cavitation of waste lemon peel in water, shows that the biocolorant can be obtained at affordable cost. Coupled to the simplicity and sustainability of the extraction processes suggested, the high chemical and physical stability of this polymethoxylated flavanol and the health benefits of citrus flavonoids, support industrialization of this new bioeconomy production.

The environmental effects of mining and its impact on natural resources are of a holistic nature. One of the modern methods employed for the remediation of technogenically disturbed soils is the application of microorganisms. This paper studies the impact made by soil microorganisms on the accumulation rate of heavy metals in the substrate of waste rock dumps in the process of soil reclamation. Suspensions of soil microorganisms (microorganisms utilising mineral nitrogen forms / MUMN; microorganisms decomposing silicates / MDS; microscopic fungi / MF) were applied to the rock dump surface. Separate groups as well as their combinations were applied. The heavy metal content analysis did not indicate a significant exceedance of the maximum allowable concentration limits (MACL) in the soil of the waste rock. The only metal whose content exceeded the maximum admissible concentration limits was nickel. It has found that the application of microorganisms influences the concentration of several heavy metals due to pH level changes of the rock dump soil.

Abstract. Water-soluble organic compounds (WSOC) are essential in atmospheric particle formation, migration, and transformation processes. Size-segregated atmospheric particles were collected in a rural area of Beijing. Excitation-emission matrix (EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy was used to investigate the sources and optical properties of WSOC. Sophisticated data analysis on EEM data was performed to characteristically estimate the underlying connections among aerosol particles in different sizes. The WSOC concentrations and average fluorescence intensity (AFI) showed monomodal distribution in winter and bimodal distribution in summer, with dominant mode between 0.26 to 0.44 µm for both seasons. The EEM spectra of size-segregated WSOC were different among variant particle sizes, which could be the results of changing sources and/or chemical transformation of organics. Size distributions of fluorescence regional intensity (region Ⅲ and Ⅴ) and HIX indicate that humification degree or aromaticity of WSOC was highest between 0.26 to 0.44 µm. The Stokes shift (SS) and the harmonic mean of the excitation and emission wavelengths (WH) reflected that π-conjugated systems were high between 0.26 to 0.44 µm as well. The parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) results showed that humic-like substances were abundant in fine particles (< 1 µm) and peaked at 0.26–0.44 µm. All evidence supported that the humification degree of WSOC increased in submicron mode (< 0.44 µm) and decreased gradually. Thus, it was conjectured that condensation of organics still goes on in submicron mode, resulting in the highest humification degree exhibit in particle size between 0.26 to 0.44 µm rather than < 0.26 µm. Synthetically analyzing 3-dimensional fluorescence data could efficiently present the secondary transformation processes of WSOC.
