ABSTRACT. UNP Laboratory Development High School has implemented the 2013 Curriculum, but it is still not optimal. The problem found is that the learning process still often teacher centered which turned students passive. In addition, teachers also do not variation the learning model. The impact is the low student learning competency. This study aims to look at the effect of the application of Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) by the Couple Card Media on the Learning Competence of Students in Circulation System Material in the UNP Laboratory Development High School. This research is an experimental study with a Randomized Control Group Only Design research design. The population in this study were all students of class XI in the UNP Laboratory Development High School, totaling 54 students distributed in 2 classes. Sampling is done using total sampling techniques. The research instrument used form of posttest questions for aspects of knowledge, observation sheets for aspects of attitude and portfolio assessment for aspects of skills. The data analysis technique used is the t test, which is first performed prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and homogeneity test. The results showed knowledge competence (77.93), attitude competence (82.00), and skills (83.89) in the experimental class were higher than the control class 68.30 respectively; 70.58; and 79.2. These results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) type of cooperative learning model assisted by a couple card media has a significant positive effect on the students' learning competency biology at SMA UNP Laboratory. ABSTRAK. SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP sudah menerapkan Kurikulum 2013, namun  masih belum optimal. Permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah proses pembelajaran masih teacher centered sehingga membuat peserta didik pasif. Selain itu, kurangnya variasi model pembelajaran. Dampaknya adalah rendahnya kompetensi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan model Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) Berbantuan Media Couple Card terhadap Kompetensi Belajar Biologi Peserta Didik di SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian Randomized Control Group Only Design. Populasi dalam penelitian mencakup seluruh peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020 berjumlah 54 orang peserta didik yang terdiri dari 2 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian untuk aspek pengetahuan berupa soal posttest, untuk aspek sikap berupa lembar observasi dan untuk aspek keterampilan berupa penilaian portofolio. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas sebagai uji prasyarat lalu dilakukan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi pengetahuan (77,93), kompetensi sikap (82,00), dan keterampilan (83,89) pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol berturut-turut 68,30; 70,58; dan 79,22. Hasil analisis hipotesis di ketahui bahwa thitung pada ketiga kompetensi ini lebih besar dari ttabel. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan model RTE berbantuan media couple card berpengaruh positif yang berarti terhadap kompetensi belajar biologi peserta didik di SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP.

 AbstractThis research aimed at knowing the effect of using TPS learning model with ICM media toward student chemistry learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson at the tenth grade of State Senior High School 2 Rumbiojaya. It was instigated by the low of student chemistry learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson at the tenth grade of State Senior High School 2 Rumbiojaya. It was a Quasi-experiment with pretest and posttest design. Two classes of the tenth-grade students owning the same homogeneity level were the samples, the tenth grade of classes 2 was as the experimental group and class 3 was as the control group, and Purposive sampling technique was used. Observation, homogeneity test as the preliminary data test, pretest and posttest as the final data test, and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data.  t test used to analyze the final data showed that tobserved was 2.038 and ttable was 2.00 at 5% significant level.  It meant that tobserved was higher than ttable, H0 was rejected, and Ha was accepted.  It revealed that there was an effect of using TPS learning model with ICM media toward student learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson and the coefficient of effect was 8.6%.Keywords : Think Pair Share, Index Card Match, Learning Achievement, Hydrocarbon.

PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR FISIKA PADA SISWA KELAS 2 SMU Tujuan pendidikan nasional adalah meningkatkan potensi peserta didik untuk menjadi manusia yang religious, bertakwa, mulia, sehat, terampil, kreatif, bebas, bertanggung jawab dan demokratis. Hal ini membutuhkan proses belajar yang optimal untuk mendukung pencapaian tujuan yang diharapkan, serta mendapatkan prestasi yang tinggi dan memusakan bagi perserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar bidang fisikan pada siswa SMU Sultan Agung 4 Semarang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksprimen yang menggunakan dua kelompok subjek berbeda. Desain eksperimennya adalah Non Random Pre-test-Post-test Control group Design. Responden ekpserimen ini adalah 62 siswa SMU kelas dua yaitu 33  kelas A1 dan 29 siswa kelas A2 yang menempuh mata pelajaran fisika. Pemilihan kelas ini berdasarkan persamaan mata pelajaran dan guru yang mengajar secara parallel. Kelompok A1 adalah kelompok control yang mnggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kelompok A2 adalah kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran aktif (active learning). Eksperimen dilaksanakan selama empat minggu dengan delapan kali pertemuan atau sekitar 480 menit.Data primer pretest untuk dua kelompok menggunakan data nilai mid semester sedangkan data post-test menggunakan tes yang disusun berdasarkan materi yang diberikan selama eksperimen.  Analisis data seslisih pre-test dan post-test (gained scores) dilakukan dengan metode independent sampel test.Hasil analisis diperoleh nilai t = 3.103 dan p = 0.003 (p < 0.01). hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok control dengan kelompok eksperimen. Pada kelompok eksperimen ditemukan peningkatan yang signifikan sedangkan pada kelompok control hasil pre-test dan post-test relatif sama. Kata kunci : Model pembelajaran aktif  THE IMPACT OF ACTIVE LEARNING IN ENHANCING THE STUDENT’S PHYSICS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AMONG 2ND GRADE   The objective of national education is promoting the learner’s potency in order to become human being who is religious and devoted to God Almighty, noble, healthful, faithful, skilled, creative, independent, responsible and democratic citizen. Essentially, it is necessary to create the learning process optimally for supporting the expected objective. Such optimization is supposed to reach the learning achievement optimally and satisfactorily for learners.The purpose of this research was to discover the impact of active learning model against the enhancement of the student’s physics learning achievement on 2nd grade of 4 Sultan Agung Junior High School Semarang. This research was experimental research utilizing two different subject groups in which the used design was Non-Randomized Pretest-Post-test Control Group Design. The participants in this research were in the amount of 62 students that consist of 33 A1 students and 29 A2 students of 2nd grade of 4 Sultan Agung Junior High School Semarang and all of the students were participated in the physics subject of this research. This class selection was based on the parallel teachers who teach on the class level in the similar subject. The A1 students further were modelled as control group using conventional learning model while A2 students were modelled as experimental group using active learning as their learning model in the class. This research was conducted for four weeks in eight meeting times and eight treatment times, for ± 480 minutes.The primary data of this research were pre-test data of both groups taken from scores of physics subject on mid-term test whereas post-test data were acquired from test scores according to the learning material. These data were analyzed by independent sample t-test.The result of this analysis indicated score of t = 3.103 and p = 0,003 (< 0,01), so it can be indicated that active learning model is able to enhance very significantly the physics’ learning achievement of 2nd grade of 4 Sultan Agung Junior High School Semarang. Keywords: active learning, learning achievement

AbstractThis research was instigated by the low of  student chemistry learning achievement at the eleventh grade of MIPA of State Senior High School 3 Dumai. Therefore, it was conducted an Experimental research with pretest and posttest design. This research aimed at knowing the effect of implementing Problem Based Learning model with Chemimagz media toward student learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson. The subjects of this research were the eleventh-grade students of MIPA in the Academic Year of 2017/2018. The samples of this research were the eleventh-grade students of MIPA 1 as the Experimental group and the students of MIPA 2 as the Control group. The data in this research were collected by using observation, preliminary data test that was homogeneity test, final data tests that were pretest and posttest, and documentation. Kp formula was used to know the effect of implementing the model toward learning achievement. The difference effect was analyzed by using Paired Sample t-test. Based on the data analysis of preliminary and final data, it was obtained that tobserved was 2,267 and ttable was 2,002 at 5% significant level. tobserved was higher than ttable, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It meant that there was an effect of impelenting Prblem Based Learning model with Chemimagz media toward student learning achievement on Hydrocarbon lesson at the eleventh grade of MIPA of State Senior High School 3 Dumai, and the effect was 8,27%.Keywords: Learning Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Chemimagz, Hydrocarbon

Misconception is a serious problem faced by high school students. Through the application of inquiry learning model, this study tries to reduce students' misconceptions, especially on thermochemical material.  The experimental method with the pretest-posttest randomized control group design was used in this study. The samples of the research were 72 eleventh-grade high school students. The inquiry model was applied to the experimental class and the scientific approach was applied to the control class. The three-tier multiple choice with the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) was used to look at misconceptions experienced by the students. The results of the statistical calculation found that the toserved was greater than tcritical. The reduction of misconception categories and the percentage of reduction of misconceptions in the experimental class was 47.53 % in the medium category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the inquiry learning model helped the students to overcome the misconceptions in thermochemical material. The researcher recommends that the inquiry learning model can be applied to other chemistry materials because their learning can help students find the correct concepts and reduce misconceptions.

The problem at SMAN 5 Solok Selatan is the low level of student learning competencies which includes aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Efforts that can be done are applying the LC 5E learning model on ecological material at Solok Selatan 5 High School. This type of research is a semi-experimental research design, namely the Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design. The population in the study of all students of class X MIPA SMAN 5 Solok Selatan who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 Academic Year amounted to 111 people grouped in four classes. Sampling used purposive sampling technique, class X MIPA 2 as experimental class I and class X MIPA 1 as experimental class II (control). Instruments in the form of posttest questions for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude competencies and product assessment for skills competencies. Based on the results of the study using the t-test on the competency of students' knowledge the value of tcount was 3.012>1.67 t table, and the competency skill was tcount 3.67>1.67 t table. In the attitude competence of the experimental class 83% are good categories while the control class is 72% with sufficient categories. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted in the competence of knowledge, attitudes and skills. The conclusion of the study is that the LC 5E learning model has a positive effect on students' learning competencies in ecological material at SMAN 5 Solok Selatan.

Abstract The ability to understand concepts is very important and becomes the basis for supporting the solving of mathematical problems. The connection between one concept and another concept and one topic with another topic is a characteristic of learning mathematics. The relationship requires that each student must have the ability to understand the concepts well, but it cannot be denied that the ability to understand mathematical concepts is still low, as happened to theLangke Rembong 4Junior High School students. Learning innovation needs to be done to achieve a good understanding of concepts. This study aims to compare the understanding ability of mathematical concepts of students who follow a guided inquiry learning model with students who take direct learning. The research design uses Posttest only control group design. The population is all eighth grade students of Langke Rembong 4 Junior High School, totalling230 students. Sampling is done by random sampling with equality test between classes.It is then obtained class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII C as the control class. Data collection uses tests in the form of description questions. Data analysis uses t-test with normality test and homogeneity test for the assumptions. The results show that the students who follow the guided inquiry learning have higher understanding of  mathematical concepts than those who are taught with direct learning model. This research aimed to find out the influence of the implementation of the inquiry training learning model on the science process skills of high school students and to find out the science process skills of students applying the inquiry training learning model. The sample of this research were in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 4 at a senior high school in Gadingrejo, with a pretest-posttest control group with non equivalent research design. The data were tested by N-gain analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample T-test. Based on the results of N-gain, science process skills in the experimental classes have an N-gain average value of 0.66 with the medium category. Whereas, in the control class the N-gain average value is 0.16 that is classified into low category. Test results for independent sample T-test Sig. (2-Tailed) is less than 0,05. It can be concluded that there is an effect of applying the inquiry training learning model on students' science process skills. Based on the results of observation, the science process skills of students in the class applying the inquiry training learning model had a very good classification of 23 students and a good classification of 6 students.

This study aimed to determine the effect of information technology-based flipped classroom learning model on creativity and learning outcomes for grade four Civics at SDN Bligo. This research was an experimental research with a pretest post test control group design. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN Bligo Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques were through creativity test and learning outcomes tests. Furthermore, the data were tested by using validity and reliability tests, while the learning tools were tested by expert validation. The requirements of the data analysis test were normality test and homogeneity test. The analytical technique used was t test. In this case, the t-test was carried out twice, first, to determine the initial conditions (pretest) of the experimental group and control group and second, to determine the condition after being given treatment (posttest). The results showed that (1) there was an effect of the information technology-based flipped classroom learning model on the creativity of students on Civics education at the fourth grade of elementary schools; (2) there was an effect of the information technology-based flipped classroom learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the Civics lesson at the fourth grade of elementary school. In short, this learning model could be used as a solution for learning from home or online learning that students were currently doing due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aims to know the influence of active learning model Course Review Horay to biology learning outcomes at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam academic year 2013/2014. This research design is  randomized experiment using posttest only control-group design. The study population is all the eighth grade students of  SMP Negeri 10 Batam with reached population consist of 7 classes. The sampling technique using a simple random sampling. Samples were selected class VIII5 as control class and VIII8 as experiment class. The instrument  that use in this research is the form of the test. Requirement have been in the form of normality and homogeneity test, which showed that normal and homogeneous data. Technique of data analysis conducted by the t test. The result analysis of data using the t test showed the tvalue 3.01 and ttable is 2.00 (tvalue > ttable). The results showed that the active learning result model Course Review Horay give effect to increase student learning outcomes from the average of the experimental class 82,57 and control class 76,04. Thus, the hypothesis put forward acceptable significance level (α = 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the using of active learning model Course Review Horay influential on learning outcomes of biology at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam. Keywords: Course Review Horay, Biology Learning Outcomes.

This reseach is aimed at knowing the students ability in both solving the math problem and connection those who are taught by Problem Based Learning at class VIII of the Junior High school 28 Padang 2017/2018. This research is categorized as quasy Experimental Research, by using Randomized Control Group Only Design. After implementing the Problem Based Leaning, the student was directly given the test as the result showed that the score  of the student who belong to the experimental class in  problem solving recorded as 74,00 while those who were in the control class only refers to 72,30. The test average score on the experimental class in term of math connection ability was 68,73; while in the control class recorded as 62,43. The T- Test showed that T-Table equals to 1,64 with the degree of reliability 95% . This fact reveals that the students’ ability in solving the problem after being taught through Problem Based Learning is higher than in control class with T-count equals to 3,71; while their connection math ability through Problem Based Learning Model in the Experimental Class is higher than control with T-count 2.17.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, problem solving, mathematics connection
