The new Coronavirus Pandemic has revealed the need for a methodological redefinition of teaching and learning attitude of teachers and students, through the pedagogical use of digital technologies. Therefore, this article aims to present reflections on the use of the Flipped Classroom methodology as a re-signifying possibility for the teaching of Philosophy in Higher Education, considering the context of remote emergency teaching. Assuming that there is a concern with the didactic-pedagogical and sociopolitical process of teaching and learning that constitutes teaching practice in the teaching of Philosophy in Brazilian Academies, the question is: what are the advantages and challenges of using the flipped classroom methodology in the process of teaching and learning Philosophy in Higher Education? For this, two fundamental aspects of the formal educational process are discussed: the first refers to the didactic-pedagogical and sociopolitical aspects of the teaching and learning process that constitute the teaching practice, as the content and didactics are emphasized. that is, the “what” and the “how to teach” and the second, it is about the need for re-signification/updating of traditional teaching in face of active methodologies. Based on the current context of remote teaching and/or hybrid teaching in Higher Education in Brazil, it is concluded that is necessary to reframe pedagogical practice in terms of the production of academic knowledge, without losing sight of the conditions in which it is produced.

The whole world population witnesses changes that are happening due to COVID-19 pandemic. One of the greatest changes is shown in the manner of conducting the educational process that has been transferred from traditional onsite to online. This paper analyses what are advantages and what are disadvantages of online teaching in higher education in Croatia, but it is applicable to all levels of education system. As approximately one year has passed since first lockdown and consequently closing all educational institutions, some experience is gained. This paper will try to systematize most of the findings that practice of online education has shown. In a few words, some advantages of quality online teaching are: low expenses, timesaving, learning at one’s own pace, motivation, communication, attention etc. Disadvantages of online teaching are: lack of social face-to-face contact, extreme exposure to screens, all sorts of distractions due to inappropriate work environment, inadequate technical equipment, lack of digital skills etc. Although the key role is on the teachers as creators of the educational process, students, as participants of the process, should also make an effort to adjust and embrace new ways of teaching and learning. Both teachers and students should express their opinions and all sorts of needs, to take the best out of online education during a pandemic.

Lecturers in higher education often consider the incorporation of web technologies into their teaching practice. Partially structured and populated course site templates could aid them in getting started with creating and deploying webbased materials and activities to enrich the teaching and learning experience. Discussions among instructional technology support staff and lecturers reveal a paucity of robust specifications for possible course site features that could comprise a template. An attempted mapping from the teaching task as understood by the instructor to the envisaged course website properties proves elusive. We conclude that the idea of an initial state for a course site, embodied in a template, remains useful and should be developed not according to a formula but with careful attention to the context and existing pedagogical practice. Any course template provided for the use of lecturers should be enhanced with supporting instructions and examples of how it may be adapted for their particular purposes. Keywords: course template; learning platform; pedagogical dimensions; course site properties(Published: 17 December 2012)Citation: Research in Learning Technology 2012, 20: 18665 - http://dx.doi.org/10.3402/rlt.v20i0.18665

AbstractThe objective of this article is to evidence possible contributions of a multidimensional didactics for the pedagogical practice. Thus, some questions arise, such as: What are the post-graduate students' perceptions regarding the complexity of a Multidimensional Didactics and its contributions to the teaching activity? In this exploratory research, nine postgraduate students participated in Education - masters and doctoral students, teaching higher education in various areas. Thereby, their productions written about what didactics teaches the own area in conjunction with the theoretical - Franco and Pimenta (2016); Pimenta, Franco and Fusari (2015); Libâneo (2014); Charlot (2000); Freire (1997); Veiga (1996); Candau (1983) – comprised the corpus of research. The study had as assumptions the understanding that education, object of didactics, configures itself as a social practice and a complex phenomenon, which requires different interlocutions among knowledges, to be constantly rebuilt by teachers and requires a rupture with the prescriptive models and transmissive classroom, for a training focused on research. In this sense, teachers and students to understand researchers, problematize the reality in the search for alternatives for reflection-transformation.Keywords: Didactics; Teaching in Higher Education; Multidimensional Didactics; Teaching-learning.ResumenEl objetivo del presente artículo es evidenciar posibles contribuciones de una Didáctica Multidimensional para la práctica pedagógica. The problem statement is connected with the paradoxical nature of modern academic reflection regarding the prospects not only for the development, but also for the survival of universities. Adherents of the alarmist approach justify the strengthening of the trend of academic capitalism, which represents a landslide increasing commercialization of all types of university activities, with a reduction in socio-humanitarian areas and the transition to an entrepreneurial post-academic university culture. Accordingly, the classical format of the university is declared to be dying, and the values of traditional academic culture are blurred and even ruined. Clarification and correction of concepts were required due to the fact, that digitalization is often considered as a process, and digital transformation is considered as the completion of the path of strategic and operational transformations that ensure competitiveness in the modern world. The authors insist that digital transformation is also procedural, so it would be more correct to designate the essence of these changes in modern higher education as an institutional purposeful transition to the latest technologies that provide opportunities for a variety of formats and personalization of the educational process. Clarification and expansion of the main drivers of digital transformation in modern higher education, in turn, indicate that the process of digital transformation, presenting intermediate results of achieving goals, will also remain open. The article presents an analysis of digital transformation in the practices of interaction between teachers and students, with an emphasis on the fact that the main goal of the teacher is his creative support, and the main goal of the student is the transition from the necessary development of modern specifics of the profession to the formation of a broader personal resource potential in the conditions of rapidly increasing changes. It is also important that digital transformation requires not only the consolidation of educational needs and skills during the life of university graduates, but also, first of all, their teachers. The authors note the discursiveness of the problem of the advantages and negatives of the digital educational environment, arguing that the understanding of modern students is focused on the need to implement early and systemic transformational changes in teaching and learning in the new digital landscape. The article concludes with updated conclusions and clarifies operational actions that contribute to achieving the goals of the transition to digital universities.

We seek to investigate the challenges and possibilities of quilombola teaching practice and, in a more restricted way, reflect on the initial and continuing education of teachers, and identify advances in quilombola teaching practice in times of pandemic. Therefore, we adopted a qualitative and explanatory approach from the perspective of Historical-Cultural Theory to understand the reality and engender discussions on continuing education, use of technologies and mediation of the teaching and learning process. The information was collected through an online questionnaire using the Google Forms application, applied to 55 teachers from the Kalunga quilombola region in the state of Goiás. Our study showed the lack of investment in quilombola teacher training; the importance of teacher/student interaction; the collaborative teaching work enriches the pedagogical practice by providing the exchange of experiences and that the use of technological resources in education was essential, in order to ensure the continuity of the process, however, it was one of the factors responsible for the marginalization of teachers and students during teaching remote emergency.

The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed training processes. The transition from face-to-face to virtuality has affected the entire educational process favoring one of the open innovation key features in the higher education institutions: the ability to manage knowledge flow. Open innovation in this crisis situation will encourage universities to deal with difficulties and embrace opportunities to enhance knowledge production. In this regard, the main objective of this work is to analyze how universities have managed knowledge flow during lockdown situation. The research presents a comparative study between three countries highly impacted by the coronavirus (Spain, Italy and Ecuador) based on perceptions from teachers and students on a convenience sample of 573 individuals. The study, of a descriptive and exploratory nature, applied surveys between March and April 2020 to students and teachers of Journalism, Communication. The survey had 2956 responses, collecting 65,032 pieces of evidence from students and 6468 from teachers. Teachers and students show their preference for being present, but they recognize the justification for the change of scenery and identify positive elements in virtuality. According to the findings obtained, the absence of presence has not generated an increase in the meetings between teachers and students. In addition, the tutorials have been shorter and sporadic. Added to this is a scant commitment to the variety of resources and options offered by the Internet. The predominance of textual material collides with the demand from students for a mixture of training resources, a greater role for the podcast and, especially, a typology of assessment tests that pass the traditional exams.
