This article discusses Art teacher training in the context of early childhood education in the Brazilian scenario through a systematic review of articles published on the databases Google Scholar, Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO) and Capes Portal of Periodicals between 2014 and 2019. It aims to understand how Brazilian bibliographical production has been studying this theme and proposes a critical theoretical reflection about that issue. Analyses showed research developed in educational contexts focused on professional training for the construction of knowledge and the promotion of critical and reflexive pedagogical practices. We conclude that the training process builds a democratic education enabling new practices and the real aesthetic sense that art can offer.

ABSTRACT: This is a work resulting from a theoretical reflection that aims to identify the limits and possibilities offered by the universitization of the courses of initial teacher training for teacher professionalization, as well as to punctuate and analyze the proposed alternatives to overcome the possible limitations identified. In order to do so, a bibliographical research was carried out in order to gather the different considerations of authors of the area and to discuss this topic. It is concluded that, although universitization has assured teachers a training based on scientific knowledge and has stimulated research in the field of teaching, the practical knowledge of teaching has been devalued, limiting the approximation of teachers in daily school education, which Is considered essential for the professional training of teachers. In this sense, it is important to emphasize the need for these courses to be reformulated in order to eliminate this deficiency. Keywords: Thearcher`s Professionalization; Universitization; Initial teacher training.

The chances of success of the internship in early childhood education, which takes place in the third degree, are very high. However, there may be circumstances that may befall the teacher-training student, which in a way turn the formative experience into a pretext for personal and professional growth. In order to know and understand its practice, we use narrative methodology. It is the most suitable way we have found to share his voice, giving him epistemological authority and being a pretext to improve from his experience. Her words lead us to understand that she wants to be a teacher, and that she learns in any situation, even though her tutor is in a context and with a very particular reality. The conclusion is in continuous construction as the student has learned, disapproved and reappeared with the practice; from being a student of practice to becoming one in practice.

The relative effectiveness of different pedagogical approaches and pedagogies in early childhood has raised substantial debate. While the other are associated with the acquisition of basic skills and knowledge and some of them are associated with socio-emotional development and problem-solving abilities. In general, research revealed both positive and negative effects of pedagogical approaches, without favouring specific pedagogical approaches over mainstream ones. However, it is important to note that research evidence and studies considering the same approaches in the same context are very limited. On the other hand, specific pedagogical practices are found to enhance child development, including high-quality interactions involving sustained-shared thinking methods, play-based learning, scaffolding, as well as a combination of staff- and child initiated activities. Research impacts pedagogy and pedagogical practices in the sense that research findings can inform policy makers and practitioners on best practices and what works best in enhancing staff performance, process quality and child development. Research on pedagogy and practices is usually not conducted at the national level, but focuses on particular programmes. So, research review has been used as a guide or manual to provide pedagogical guidance for Early Childhood Education (ECE) staff not only in India but also worldwide. The main focus of the study is that how of the best pedagogical practices and approaches across the country can be useful and implemented in early childhood education

Abstract This paper examines the professional context of teachers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL), whose first language is not English but who are required to help learners adhere to target-language (TL) politeness norms and practices. Many of these teachers have had little or no contact with TL countries/cultures and have limited professional training in this area. This paper highlights the specific context of 39 Mexican EFL teachers who reflected on their understandings and “teaching” of politeness. I argue that by employing existing resources and knowledge and with further training, bilingual teachers can be helped to take “possession” of politeness rather than having to unquestioningly teach appropriate, socially-accepted, socially-expected usage.

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) teachers have a central role in supporting young children’s physical activity (PA) and overall development in the early years. However, the value of early childhood education teacher training (ECETT) programmes is not widely understood. This study aimed to investigate pre-service teachers’ perceptions of perceived competence when (1) supporting a child’s PA, (2) teaching PE, and (3) observing and assessing a child’s motor skills and PA. These self-evaluations were compared with a range of individual, educational, and behavioural characteristics. Final-year Bachelor degree pre-service teachers (n = 274; 54%) from seven universities in Finland participated in the self-report questionnaire. The results of the linear regression models showed that the relevant PE studies and previous experiences of pre-service teachers predicted higher perceived competence of supporting a child’s PA, teaching PE, and observing and assessing a child’s motor skills and PA. Thus, the study findings demonstrated how teacher training could positively influence perceptions and attitudes to increase a person’s perceived competence when implementing PE in the early years. Overall, results reinforce the importance of PE in ECETT, and the time devoted to this syllabus area should be maintained or increased.

Abstract. Playing, in addition to being one of the experiences that children enjoy the most during their stage of early childhood education, allows them to learn and develop in an integral way. In accordance with this, the present study aims to investigate which achievements in spatial, temporal and socio-affective relationships are more successful in early childhood education children and to identify their evolution during 10 weeks of observation. The methodology had two phases: initially, through didactic engineering, an observation code was constructed and once it was ready, observations were made during 10 weeks of work. The activities were carried out, during free play hours, in the schools where the Education Faculty of the Surcolombiana University carries out its pedagogical practices. The results showed that it is in the socio-affective activity where the greatest achievements are obtained from the beginning of the experience; on the other hand, the main achievement is obtained in the characteristic temporal relationship, related to the ability to anticipate events or predict results, specifically in the ability to organize a plan to carry out an idea, is achieved 87%.
