This research paper investigated the effect of teachers' professional characteristics on students’ academic achievement in secondary schools of district Bannu. The population of the study constituted all public secondary schools of district Bannu. For a collection of data and generalization of results, 600 respondents were taken as a sample. The sample was drawn by using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. For data collection, a self-developed questionnaire was used. For students' academic achievement self-developed Achievement test was used. The data was analyzed by using Linear Regression. The results show those secondary school teachers' professional characteristics such as teacher subject knowledge, teaching prowess, teacher-student relationship, and communication skills are significant predictors of students' academic achievement.

AV aids are very important in the learning process. It prepares students for useful learning. There is no doubt that learning materials have great importance in education. Due to this the researcher conducts a study regarding "impact of AV AIDS on the academic achievement of students". A descriptive nature study was conducted. All the 10th class students of Gov secondary schools were the study population. As a sample 500 respondents were selected from 12 Govt. secondary schools, by applying a simple random sampling technique. The researcher delimited the study only to 10th grade of the 12 females and males' schools. To collect the data, a self-made tool was used. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS. John Curry formula was applied. Frequency, percentage, and linear regression were used for analysis. It was revealed that students' academic achievement has a positive relation with AV aids.

Abstract The purpose of the study was to find out the association of classroom environment with the academic achievement of secondary school girls in Pakistan. The population of the study was 1104 Secondary School Teachers SSTs / Trained Graduate Teachers TGTs (Female), 5628 secondary school girls in 64 Federal Government Girls Secondary Schools. Multistage sampling was used in the present research. Three categories of schools (Large, Medium, Small) were constructed for research purpose on the basis of the number of students who appeared in SSC-I annual examination 2014 by a federal board of intermediate and secondary education Islamabad. The objectives of the study were to find out the nature of the classroom environment at girls secondary schools and to identify the association of classroom environment with the academic achievement of girls at secondary school level. Two hypotheses were formulated and tested with the help of statistical tests to achieve the objectives of the study. The study was descriptive in nature and survey technique was used to collect data from respondents. Data were collected on various aspects of the classroom environment, including temperature, furniture and fixture, arrangement of furniture, air, light, writing board facilities. The tool consisting of fourteen statements on classroom environment was getting validated from four experts to determine content validity. Reliability of the research instrument was determined by using Cronbach Alpha based which was. 855. The analysis of the collected data was carried out by using two non parametric statistical tests, i.e. (i) Chi Square test, (ii) Mann Whitney U test. There was a positive association between the classroom environment and academic achievement of girls at secondary school level.

The purpose of this research is to discover the effect of cyber bullying on students academic achievement and their behavior. The objective of the research was to find out the academic achievement affected by cyberbullying and behavior of students on gender basis at higher secondary school level. Through random sampling technique, 2160 students and 48 teachers from 6 districts were selected. Questionnaires and interviews were used for data analysis using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that cyber bullying significantly affects students academic achievement than their behavior. No significant effect of cyber bullying was found on students academic achievement and their behavior with respect to their gender. The qualitative data obtained from interviews teachers concludes that students are well aware of cyber bullying and cyber bullying equally affects boys and girls of public sector higher secondary schools.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between spiritual leadership and workplace well-being of secondary school teachers. The study is quantitative in nature and a correlation research design has been used. The secondary school teachers of Lahore are mainly targeted population and stratified sampling technique is used to draw sample of the study. The sample consists of 150 secondary school teachers (75 male and 75 females). Two close ended questionnaires on five-point likert type scale were adapted for this study. The reliability of the instruments has been approx. 0.931 and 0.94 respectively. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient has been used to investigate the relationship between spiritual leadership and workplace well-being. Inferential statistics are used to explore the difference among secondary school teachers’ perception on the basis of their demographic information. Findings of the study reveal that spiritual leadership is strongly correlated with teachers’ well-being in secondary schools. There is a weak positive relationship among spiritual leadership, teachers’ relatedness and teachers’ competence needs. It is recommended that the head teachers should adopt spiritual style to run the school effectively because under this leadership, a healthy environment in schools might be developed and teachers may perform their duties better.

The Study assessed principal‟s effectiveness in monitoring students‟ progress in Ebonyi State secondary schools as a means of achieving national security. One purpose of study, one research question and one hypothesis guided the study. The survey research design was adopted for the study. The population for the study comprised 817 secondary school teachers. The sample for the study was 210 secondary school teachers who were drawn using simple random sampling technique. Questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts: one in Measurement and Evaluation and two in Educational management. The reliability was determined using Cronbach Alpha. Data were collected by the researcher with the help of four research assistants. Data collected were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test. The findings of the study revealed that principals in rural schools do not monitor students‟ progress effectively. It was recommended that ministry of education should set machineries on board to help monitor the activities of principals to ensure that they are performing their leadership functions effectively.

A study was conducted to develop the research instrument for evaluating the Performance Appraisal System (PAS) at public higher secondary schools in Punjab. Data were collected from the three divisions total (N=900) male and female teachers of public schools using a multi-stage sampling technique. The questionnaire was founded on the factors elaborated in the Performance Evaluation Report (PER), National Professional Standards (NPS) for teachers. This scale is extended to evaluate the satisfaction of the teachers with the performance appraisal process. The factors taken from PER are classroom management, quality of teaching, motivation, teamwork, and punctuality, whereas Awareness, Satisfaction with PAS, Dissatisfaction with PAS, and Need for Improvement were added by the researchers to evaluate the PAS process. Performance Appraisal Scale for higher secondary school teachers (PAS-HSSTs) contained 57 items. The experts' opinion was sought to check for content validity, and a pilot study was performed with 300 teachers from public higher secondary schools. The reliability coefficient (Cronbach alpha) of the instrument was .866 for the pilot and .883 for final data. Structure Equation Modelling (SEM) was used for the validation of the instrument (PAS-HSSTs) using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The factor loadings of all items used in the scale were well above the threshold value 0.35. The SEM results indicated that Fit indices for PAS resulted in an acceptable model fit.

Business Education graduates are expected to acquire high level of competencies in all aspects of human endeavour. However, this expectation seems to be lacking in the job performances of these graduates in the world of work. This study assessed the work-based competencies of Business Education teachers in public secondary schools in South-West Nigeria. The theoretical underpinnings of this study were premised on CIPP Evaluation Model. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised all Business Education teachers in public secondary schools in South-West, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 420 Business Education teachers as a study sample. Two research questions were raised and answered while one hypothesis was formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The research instrument used for data collection were structured Questionnaire. The data generated were analysed using descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation. Furthermore, t-test was used to test the hypotheses. Findings showed that teachers acquired competencies from Business Education programme were lower than work-based required competencies. Based on the findings, this study concluded that the contents of Business Education programme do not provide students with adequate job competencies for them to perform at the level expected of them after graduation. The study recommends that Business Education programme should be reviewed and restructured so as to enable the graduates respond to social goals, economic realities and future life challenges. The title of the existing topic is “Impact of stress on student’s academic performance at secondary school level”. The important motives of this study are to explore the stress impact on the students’ academic performance. Stress has a key role in student’s academic performance. This study was to focus on the negative impact on the student’s academic performance. The purposes of the study were to investigate; firstly, the type of stress linked with student’s performance; secondly, to evaluate the impact of stress on the academic performances of students; and thirdly, differentiate the impacts of stress on the academic performances of both gender students. To achieve the above-mentioned objectives of the study, the researcher can suggest a reasonable solution for the impact of stress on student’s academic performance. The data collected for this topic, has been gathered from all the secondary schools in District Vehari.  In this study the researcher was taken a sample of (n=10) secondary schools from each Tehsil of District Vehari. The researcher was further divided (n=10) secondary schools into two groups (n=5) males and (n=5) female secondary schools. The researcher was taken (n=15) students from each secondary school selected as sample. The researcher was used simple random sampling technique for data collection. Five points Likert-scale used in this research. 99% respondents are responding about the factor of stress impact on their academic performance. After collecting data, it was analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. The tool (questionnaire) used for the collection data was 0.850 Cronbach alpha. In this study, different tests were applied as to factor analysis and regression. Generally, the major findings of study divulged that there are significant impacts of stress on student’s academic performance. This study concluded that major factors of stress among the students are teacher and parents.
