Following the stratified random sampling technique 1000 students were drawn from different schools at Durg city, to serve as participants in the present research work. Career maturity was measured by Career Maturity Inventory (Gupta, 1989). Occupational aspiration was measured by Grewal (1975). Moderation effect was worked out through hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Result of the study indicated that, gender was significant moderator on the relationship between occupational aspiration and career maturity. It is concluded that there is sufficient empirical and statistical evidence of the moderation effect of gender on the relationship between relationship between occupational aspiration and career maturity.

Kata Kunci: Penguasaan Lingkungan, Motivasi Migrasi, Pemukiman Kumuh ABSTRACT Residence affects psychological well-being, and one of the dimensions in it is environment control. For those who cannot control the environment, the condition will most likely contribute to their motivation to move from their place to somewhere else, which is called motivation for migration. The objective of this study was to find out the role of the environmental control towards the motivation for migration in residents living in the slum of Cempaka Raya in Banjarmasin. The hypothesis of this study was that there was a role of environmental control towards motivation for migration in the population living in the slum of Cempaka Raya Banjarmasin. Subjects in this study were 60 residents in Cempaka Raya Banjarmasin RT 42. The subjects were selected using cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using the scale of environmental control and the scale of motivation for migration. The data were then analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed the value of t count > t table (13.273 > 1.672), indicating that there was a role of environmental control towards the motivation for migration, with the value of t 13.273, which meant there was a positive role of environmental control towards motivation for migration. The higher the environmental control, the higher the migration motivation, and vice versa. The role of the environmental control towards the motivation for migration was 75.2% while 24.8% was from other factors not included in this study. Keywords: Environmental Control, Motivation for Migration, Slum

The samples have been taken by random sampling technique selecting amounted to 249 samples from permanent lecturers of private Islamic High School in Jambi Province. This research uses a Sequential Explanatory Design Mixed Method that is first research using a quantitative method then deepen it with a qualitative method. This is intended to result in more in-depth and comprehensive research. The result shows that there is a positive correlation between transformational leadership which has a high effect on job satisfaction of the lecturers. The coefficient correlation is ry = 0,483 and coefficient determination ry = 0,233. It means that 65.90% of job satisfaction is influenced by transformational leadership, and the rest of it influenced by other factors.

This paper analyses the greeting system of Kisubi. It specifically seeks: to identify temporal greeting patterns in Kisubi; to determine whether age and gender do dictate the kind of verbal greetings, address forms and paralinguistic behaviours that are used in particular greeting events; to examine different kinship-specific verbal greetings, address forms and paralinguistic behaviours that are used in particular greeting events; and lastly, to assess the role of context in the Kisubi greeting system. Observation and face-to-face interview methods were used to gather data from 36 participants who were obtained using snowball sampling technique, and afterwards they were stratified into different strata depending on age, gender and educational status of a person. This stratification led to the attainment of authentic data. The obtained data were subjected to content analysis from which different themes emerged. It was established that there are four temporal chunks in Kisubi, each of which is associated with its own greeting term. Age, gender, context and kinship relations also determine the type of greeting terms and the honorifics or deferential terms to use. However, the use of honorifics and/or deferential terms is declining gradually.

The sources of data were both primary and secondary. The sampling technique used was purposive and random sampling from two residential districts from both the northern and southern parts of the city. A total of 1,000 questionnaires were administered within the study areas and 900 questionnaires were collected. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with major stakeholders from the two parts. The data obtained were analysed using thematic and content analysis for the qualitative data whilst the quantitative data were analysed using simple percentages. The results revealed that the factors causing the ethnoreligious urban violence and residential mobility are unemployment, social institutional breakdown, politics, and colonial impact and the pattern/direction of the residential mobility in the city of Kaduna show a clear polarization along religious lines based reactive residential mobility between the two parts of the city. (2) To find out how much influence the motivation of learning on student achievement in SMA 2 BURU. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The population is at BURU 2 Senior High School, totaling 220 students. using purposive random sampling technique. The sample was 79 students. Research methods using questionnaire and documentation. All instruments have met the requirements as a measurement requirement, because they have tested so that it meets the validity test requirements using product correlation and reliability using Cronbach alpha, and has passed the test precondition. Data analysis using T-test and a large percentage of the influence using the coefficient of determination Adjuster R Square. The results showed that (1) there was a significant effect of Learning Motivation on Learning Achievement evidenced from the value of Tcount> Ttable namely 3.731> 1.9915 and Sig <0.05, namely 0.000 <0.05 (with a level of 5%). (2) The magnitude of the influence of the Adjusted R square determination coefficient of 35.9% so that the effect of learning motivation (X), on learning achievement (Y) is weak positive means that if the variable X rises then the variable Y does not rise weakly or together all variables will rise significantly and the remaining 65.1% is explained by other variables outside the variables used.
