Multidimensional scaling technique used to mapped the 5 Tablet PC brandsinto six dimensions; product feature, brand, price, battery consumption (endurance), lifestyle and design. The questionnaires were delivered to 100 respondents using purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicated that Apple is still the best for product feature based on consumer perceptions . As for the best brand the winner is Samsung followed by Apple, ASUS, Acer and Smartfren. Based on price dimension the cheapest Tablet PC is Smartfren and Apple is the most expensive. Samsung is also the winner in the field of battery power consumption and Acer is the worst. The best Tablet PC in the field of the lifestyle is Samsung followed by Apple, ASUS, Acer and Smartfren. Finally, Tablet PC with the best design also goes to Samsung then followed by Apple, ASUS, Acer and Smartfren. This research is conducted to analyze the map positioning product attributes of Lestari restaurant and the competitors in Jember Regency. The basis used to determine the position of the restaurants is consumers’ perceptions regarding to the similarity of determinant attributes consisting of price, convenience, human resources services, taste quality, menu variants, location of each restaurant. The analysis technique is Multidimensional Scaling (MDS). This research was conducted by taking respondents as many as 60 respondents with purposive sampling method. The results of the restaurant positioning map (Lestari, Terapung, Legian, Wong Solo, Bu Lanny) are based on consumer perceptions and the similarity of respondents' attitudes in giving the assessment. Based on the analysis, there are differences in the position of each restaurant based on consumer perceptions and it shows that Lestari restaurant is direct competitor from Terapung restaurants, Wong Solo and Bu Lanny which do not have a strong or clear positioning, because they do not have many similarities and differences with other restaurants in the minds of consumers. Lestari and Legian restaurants are direct competitors because they have clear and unique differentiation. Therefore, Lestari restaurant in Jember Regency has a strong competitiveness in the market that comes from product attributes, namely the quality of taste and menu variants. The results of the consistency and similarity tests of respondents' attitudes also showed that the respondents did not have the same attitude in assessing the similarity of restaurants in Jember Regency.

Abstract This paper analyses the citation profiles (CP) of 130 researchers in fractional calculus. In a first phase, the Canberra distance is used to measure the similarities between the researchers’ CP, and the multidimensional scaling technique (MDS) is adopted for processing and visualizing the information. In a second phase, the gamma probability distribution is used to fit the normalized CP and the gamma parameters are used to characterize the researchers. The MDS results and the gamma distribution parameters are represented graphically in 2- and 3-dimensional locus depicting the relative positions of the researchers.

This article investigates the impact of flood risk on vulnerability and welfare at the household level in Vietnam. The analytical sample is taken from a household survey conducted in a north central Vietnam community through a three-stage stratified random sampling method. The propensity score matching approach is employed to compare various welfare indicators between flooded and non-flooded households. This study finds that flooding results in significant income losses and imposes higher costs of living, especially housing costs. The two types of households are vulnerable, implying that other natural disasters or socio-economic disadvantages may have adverse effects on households’ livelihoods. The insignificant effect of floods on vulnerability indicates that the flooded households can cope with floods to some extent. However, contrary to family support, formal coping strategies are insufficient or ineffective at reducing household vulnerability to floods.

Managers play an important role in organizations. They are the persons who formulate and implement policies, plans etc in the organization. Managers are the first to be contacted for suggestions with regard to overall information about the organization. Taking into consideration the importance of managers in the organization and a critical review of literature which revealed that the study on work motivation, burnout and intention to leave has not been conducted so far on the top level managers of garment industry of Delhi and NCR, the researcher found a gap to be filled by  conducting investigation on this sample for the variables in question. So the sample of the present study consists of top level managers of garment industry of Delhi and NCR. Thus, a convenient sampling method was used for drawing the sample from 60 garment export houses of Delhi and 40 of NCR. This paper gives a deep insight of work motivation, burnout and intention to leave for the top level managers of the garment industry of Delhi/NCR. In this paper we have checked the relationship of all dimensions of work motivation with the dimensions of burnout and intention to leave and have observed that all dimensions of work motivation have some more or less relationship with each dimension of burnout but neither of the dimensions of work motivation or total work motivation have any relationship with intention to leave. So even if top level managers leave their current job they don’t leave because of lack of work motivation.
