Students at SMP Islam Plus Jannatul Firdaus Pekanbaru had problems in understanding the text when reading process, those were because: the students ought to construct of generic structure of descriptive text namely identification and description. The students ought to comprehend the contents of identification. The students ought to comprehend the contents of description. Then, the researcher tested based-score of reading descriptive text, the researcher found that the students’ mean score was just 68. This research aimed to improve the students’ ability in reading descriptive text by using Questioning the Author (QtA) Strategy. Thus, this research conducted Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of one cycles. There were 15 students at Grade VII of SMP Islam Plus Jannatul Firdaus Pekanbaru as the participants of the research. To gain the data, the researcher used four instruments namely: test, observation, field note, and interview. The result of the reading test in cycle 1 (78.33) was better than the based-score. The factors influeced the changing of students’ ability in reading descriptive text were the vocabulary mastery, the condition of the class, and absolutely the strategy used by the teacher in teaching reading. In conclusion, Questioning the Author (QtA) strategy can improve the students’ ability in reading descriptive text.

This research aims to improve students reading comprehension on recounttext by using Question Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy. This researchis a classroom action research which was conducted in three cycles. Theparticipants of this research consist of the teacher and the students in classX IIS 3 of SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. The researcher collected the data ofstudents improvement in reading comprehension by observing the datathrough reading test, observation checklist, field note and self-assessmentforms. The result showed that students problems in comprehending recounttext had been solved by using QAR strategy. Right There and Think andSearch question improved students understanding of generic structure andlanguage features of recount text. The mean score of students readingcomprehension enhanced in each cycle. In the first cycle, the students meanscore was 57.2, it increased to 68.8 in the second cycle, and 82 in the thirdcycle. In other words, Question Answer Relationship (QAR) strategyimproved students reading comprehension of recount text.

The problem of this research is the students’ low comprehension in reading descriptive text in term of generic structure, purpose, language features and vocabulary. This research aimed to enhance student understanding by using a constructivist approach in reading descriptive text. The design of this research was a classroom action research (CAR). The samples of this research were 40 students. Based on the result of the test, it was found that students’ average score was 77. The resulting score improved from the based score that was 69.5. Furthermore from the result of observation, field note and interview, it was found the factors influencing the improvement of students’ comprehension in reading descriptive text by using a constructivist approach, they were teacher’s strategy and teacher’s media. Finally, the researcher concludes that this constructivist approach can improve the students’ reading comprehension.

This research aimed to describe the process of improving students’ reading comprehension of narrative text through graphic organizer strategy in SMP Regina Pacis Surakarta. It was conducted to the ninth year students, especially class VIII A as the subject of research. The researcher conducted a classroom action research. Achievement test, observation checklist and field note used as the tools of data collecting. The research findings showed that graphic organizer strategy was appropriate for teaching reading comprehension. Students’ mean score increased from 63 to 78. The students were able to map out basic components of the story such as setting, problem, goals, action, and outcomes. Graphic organizerprovides structure and organization so students were able to comprehend the story more effective.

This research was based on the students’ problems in writing descriptive text, especially in terms of organizing the generic structure, determining adjective to describe people or things, and mastering vocabulary. The purposes of this research were to improve the students’ writing skill in descriptive text and to find out the factors influencing the students’ improvement through Attribute Chart strategy at grade 7.2 of SMPIT Al Birru Pekanbaru. The design of this research was Classroom Action Research. The instruments used were the writing test, observation checklist, field note, and interview. The participants involved  in this research were the students at grade 7.2 which was consisted of 16 students. The result showed that the students base score was 51.8,  and the score in cycle 1 was 70.4. It means the students’ score was improved in cycle 1. Furthermore this improvement was influenced by 4 factors. These factors were obtained based on the result of field note. Moreover, the results of field note were: students’ motivation, students’ interest, students’ exciting with the new topic, and the students’ activeness in the learning process. In conclusion, the use of Attribute Chart strategy in writing descriptive text can improve students’ writing skill at 7.2 grade of SMPIT Al Birru Pekanbaru.

          The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which Score Strategy may increase students' reading comprehension and the factors that improved students' reading comprehension at Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of SMK Budi Mulia. This research was classroom action research. The subject of this research was the XI students of the Office Administration Program at SMK Budi Mulia. The instrument of this research was a test, observation, field note, and interview. The research was conducted in two cycles which included plan, action, observe, and reflect. The finding of this research showed that the students reading comprehension at the XI student of SMK Budi Mulia had significant improvement after using the SCORE Strategy. The improvement was influenced by several factors; teaching material, media, classroom activities, classroom management, teacher’s strategy.

The aim of the study is to investigate the use of Microsoft Sway 365 in teaching reading descriptive text as a response in pandemic situation. The method used in the research was classroom action research. Subject of the research was 36 students from tenth grade of SMAN 1 Baros, Banten Province. Data collective techniques used in this recent study were test and questionnaire. The result of research shows that students achieve average scores 67.5 from reading test in pre-cycle. This result, of course, still lower than the ideal score 75. Since Sway Microsoft 365 is implemented, students’ scores are increased. This can be seen from the average score in cycle 1 is 77.5; and it increases into 81.5 in cycle 2. These results also matched to the questionnaire result which 78% of students agree if Microsoft Sway 365 can be used as an alternative online learning media for reading descriptive text, especially proposed for pandemic situation.

This research was based on the students’ problem in reading comprehension of narrative text, especially in generic structure, purpose, language features and vocabulary. The purpose of this research was to improve reading comprehension in narrative text. The design of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research consisted of five meetings in one cycle. This research conducted on March 2018. Based on the test result, it was found that the average score of cycle was 80, 09. Furthermore, the data about factors that influence the students’ improvement in reading comprehension in narrative text were obtained by interview, observation checklist, and field note. The factors were interested of media, students’ enjoy and fun during learning process and this strategy was easily to comprehend. In conclusion, the use of FLIP strategy can improve students reading comprehension in narrative text.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus yang terdiri dari: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa pembelajaran akidah akhlak dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap indikator yang diteliti. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa yang dimaksud adalah terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Siswa aktif merespon pertanyaan guru, mengemukakan alasan, menjelaskan kepada teman, mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok dan membuat kesimpulan Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Akidah Akhlak Abstract [Tittle: Improving Student’ Activity In Akidah Akhlak Course Through Problem Based Learning Approach]. This research was aimed to improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak through Problem Based Learning (PBL)at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi city.This was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was the third year students of MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi that consisted of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and field note. The data then was analyzed descriptively.The result of the research showed that the use of PBL approach could improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. After applying PBL approach, the students had a willingness to answer teacher’s questions, give opinions and plain them to the peers, present the result of the discussion and take conclusion. Abstract-This research related to the development of the potential of ecopreneurship students through project-based learning. The purposeof this research is caused by unrest demonstrated by students either in the process of learning which is very flat as well as assessment of the student's active role in the learning or suggested the practice as a form of character development. Researchers take a character-based entrepreneurial environment because the research location close to traditional and modern market. Problem formulated which examined is, related how the design, implementation, as well as the obstacles that occur in this research. The research method used is the classroom action research method using designs from Lewin according to Elliot. The design research of Lewin according to Elliot in each cycle begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation, field note, and documentation study. The instrument used is the observation sheet and rubric. Based on the research that has been done shows that project-based learning model can be an alternative model which could develop the potential of ecopreneurship grade VII-A MTS. Ar-Rohmah Bandung. This can be seen from the increase in the indicators of research after two cycles with a total of eight actions. The increase occurred on the indicators create, explore, creative, innovative, and confident. The results of this research can be an alternative to developing the social studies study that allows students to explore his creativity by doing a practice jump, so that learning becomes more meaningful for teachers as a student or as a character-forming the subject of the creation of the character.Keywords: project-based learning, the potential ecoprenership.

This study aims to improve the ability to understand the content of the text using listening strategy teams for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Karangploso. The design of this study was a two-cycle classroom action research assigning 34 students as research subject. The study revealed that the mastery learning to understand the text content increases in each cycle. Mastery learning was achieved by 17,86% of 34 students in the pre-cycle, 42.86% students in the cycle I, and 85.72% students in the cycle II. In the precycle, insufficient of the mastery learning achieved 82.14%, 57.14% in the cycle I, and 14.28% in the cycle II. This proves that the use of listening teams strategies successfully improved to understand the text coontents.
