Gianyar Regency has local specialties menus such as Babi Guling, Bebek Betutu, Lawar, etc. However, betutu is the most menus ordered because it is halal menu which has its uniqueness, taste, and aromatic. Meanwhile, nowadays there are several culinary products which are seeked by guest such as KFC, Ayam Geprek, and chicken or duck roasted. It is needed to figure out whether betutu still exist or not and how can betutu still exist among society. This study was aimed to figure out whether betutu still exist or not and how to maintance betutu in order to support culinary tourism in Gianyar Regency. This study was qualitative research which used deep interview for collecting the data from the informants. For the result, it was revealed that betutu still exist among the tourists and local society. It was proven by the result of interview with six informants who revealed that 5 of them can produce more than 50 portion of betutu daily. They also gave positive response toward the questions given by the researchers that revealed betutu is still sought-after by the tourists. The betutu is still made by using the original recipes and served in traditional presentation. Not only tourists, betutu still exist among local society because betutu is used as a means in Hindu ceremonies.

<p>Bali becomes the world‟s tourism that has varied culture, one of them is „Tari Kecak‟ („Tari<br />Cak‟ or „Fire Dance‟). Different with other dance using music („gamelan‟), „Tari Kecak‟ just uses the<br />dancer‟s sound/shouting like “cak cak ke cak cak ke”as the art. Through qualitative research based on<br />constructive paradigm, the researcher depended on participative observation and in depth interview to<br />the key informants and informants (from local society and tourists). This ethnodrama is a script writing project based on qualitative research that explores deaf people’s experience of working as interpreter in Ireland. A collection of interview data was used to develop the ethnodrama by constructing scenes that reveal a series of interactive moments that capture the challenges faced by deaf interpreters. Framed within Sontag’s (1997) conceptualization of “translation,” the authors offer a critique of the term translation and discuss its significance from the perspective of deaf interpreters. Participants were invited to read and comment on aspects of the scenes and contribute to the script writing process. Their statements were integrated into the script to generate meaningful dialogue which appear in the final part of the play. The discussion indicated a positive response to this ethnodrama which was generally successful in producing realistic dramatized scenarios which stimulated reflective discussions in the epilogue.

This research aimed to find out how to use iconic images illustration to increase selling value of fiction works. The theoretical basis of this research was visual communication design, illustration, color, and semiotics. The method used in this research was qualitative research by doing interviews with experts who are experienced in publishing and illustration field. Another method used was observing children and fiction books which use iconic image illustration to attract consumer’s interest in order to increase books sales. The results of this study show that fiction books with iconic image illustration images have the positive response from consumers who show their interest and desire to buy them. Moreover, these results are expected to be useful for the creative industry, especially the sub-sector publishing industry when designing illustrations to be used in a book.

Berbeda dengan tarian lainnya yang menggunakan alat musik (gamelan), tari Kecak hanya memadukan seni dari suara para penari berupa teriakan-teriakan seperti “cak cak ke cak cak ke”. Pada penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma konstrukstivis ini, peneliti mengedepankan pengamatan partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam kepada enam narasumber (baik warga di Bali maupun wisatawan asing). Dengan menggunakan Teori ‘Pengertian Secara Semantik’ (Charles Osgood), hasil penelitian menunjukkan lima makna pesan dari Tari Kecak, yakni: (a) menghindari karma, (b) kepercayaan, (c) sakral, (d) seni dan budaya, serta (e) pendapatan ekonomi.<br /><strong>Kata Kunci:</strong> Pesan, Tari Kecak, Teori Pengertian Semantik</p>

O presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar a resposta de usuários do YouTube à existência de propaganda inserida dentro do conteúdo de vídeosPara se chegar a tal objetivo foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória e qualitativa através do método netnográfico. Como principais resultados foi observado que existem cinco modelos utilizados pelos produtores de conteúdo para a inserção de propagandas no conteúdo de vídeos. Os modelos com maior resposta por parte dos usuários foram aqueles que apresentavam o produto por um período maior de tempo. Sendo que as propagandas que apresentaram uma resposta mais positiva dos usuários foram aquelas que geraram informação, entretenimento ou eram customizadas para o público que as assistiram.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: YouTube; Propaganda; Netnografia.     ABSTRACT This article purpose to analyze the response of YouTube users to advertisement inserted within the content of videos. To reach this aim, an exploratory and qualitative research was carried out through the netnographic method. As main results it was perceived that there are five models used by content producers for the insertion of advertisements in the content of videos. The models with the highest response from users were those who presented the product for a longer period of time. Since the advertisements that presented a more positive response from the users were those that generated information, entertainment or were customized for the audience that attended them.   KEYWORDS: YouTube; Advertising; Netnography.     RESUMEN El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la respuesta de usuarios de YouTube a propagandas insertadas em el contenido de videos. Para llegar a tal objetivo se realizó una investigación exploratoria y cualitativa por médio del método netnográfico. Como principales resultados se observó que existen cinco modelos utilizados por los productores de contenido para la inserción de propagandas en el contenido de los vídeos. Los modelos con más respuesta por parte de los usuarios fueron aquellos que presentaban el producto por un período mayor de tiempo. Siendo que las propagaciones que presentaron una respuesta más positiva de los usuarios fueron aquellas que generaron información, entretenimiento o eran personalizadas al público que las asistieron.   PALABRAS CLAVE: YouTube; publicidad; Netnografía.

[Title: The Roles of Museum Arma and Museum Burung Bali in Empowering the Culture and Local Society] This article aims to identify roles of Museum Arma and Museum Burung Bali in empowering the culture and local society and to interpret its meaning. The research model is qualitative research. The data collection were done by observation technique, deep interview and documentation, and the data analysis were done inductively. The result shows two ways in empowering the culture and local society. Museum Arma empowers them by museum integrated management model and living museum. Museum Burung Bali empowers them by employing local artist to make collection, souvenirs and traditional Balinese dance performances. The process can be interpreted as local cultural response towards global culture, the deconstructive strategy towards inversion from outside to inside, and the capitalization towards local culture. The conclusion is both museums have roles in empowering the culture and local society towards certain strategies reflexing the meaning of cultural response, local culture improvement, and cultural capitalization.

The increasing likelihood of community buying today is on the food sector. Along with that, especially the growth of the business shop souvenirs typical of Tanjungpinang which is a part of culinary tourism for local people or tourists both from domestic and foreign. One important factor of packaging for the success of a product, then in this case marketers demanded more innovative and creative so that it can attract consumers in influencing consumers to provide a positive response and minimize negative risk of post-consumption. The purpose of this research is to know the role of packaging factor in influencing the decision of purchasing souvenirs from Tanjungpinang. This research is explanatory research using factor analysis. In this study the number of variables set is 9 variables that relate to the packaging factor packaging in influencing the decision of the purchase of souvenirs typical of Tanjungpinang. The results of this research are the product factors, security, economics, distribution channels, communication, ergonomic, aesthetics, identity, promotion, and environment are factors that influence the decision of the purchase of souvenirs typical of Tanjungpinang

Madura society has identical religiosity. One of their religiosities are in glorifying the tradition, institute, and religious symbol. Dealing with it, the existence of kyai (scholar) is a religious symbol which has strong effect toward the existence of social culture of local society. This study specially will analyze Network Mobilization of Scholar Religious Authority in socio-culture of Madura society. Some crucial issues become a focus of explanation in this study namely; existence of kyai, network mobilization of Kyai religious authority, the effect toward politic reality in socio-culture of Madura society. This study is field study which uses qualitative research. The data of this paper is primary and secondary data. Whereas the theory used is sociology theories; Hegemony Gramsci theory, and authority theory of Michel Foucault. The finding of this study is descriptive-Narrative of kyai existence in social system of Madura society. And the description of scholar religious authority network in in socio-culture of Madura society. This writing contribute in describing a direction of politic dynamic of Madura society. And the description of participation and effect of kyai (scholar) religious authority network in socio-culture of Madura society.

Abstract: Apartment development as a place to stay led to repetitive architecture, however on various region. It can change the mindset and pattern of life of local society because each region’s house basically has particularity which was a result of long time creativity and has meaning behind it. Therefore, a qualitative research is conducted to find the image and meaning behind the appearance of traditional house at Kediri, so the image that attached to traditional house can be transformed into contemporary apartment. It is founded that appearance of each component of traditional house has meaning and reason why it produced as it, including building form as general or spesific on certain part such as: roof, building opnening, ornament, color, and yard. The image of each part can reproduced on apartment without having left behind by development of architecture nowadays by using contemporary technology and building form arrangement.Keywords: apartment, traditional architecture, building imageAbstrak: Pengembangan rumah susun sebagai tempat tinggal seringkali membuahkan arsitektur yang repetitif di berbagai daerah, padahal hal ini dapat mengubah pola hidup dan pola pikir masyarakat setempat karena pada dasarnya rumah tinggal setiap daerah memiliki kekhasan yang merupakan hasil kreatifitas sejak lama dan memiliki makna di baliknya. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian kualitatif untuk menemukan citra dan makna di balik tampilan bangunan rumah tradisional di Kediri sehingga dapat dilakukan transformasi citra yang menempel pada rumah tradisional ke rumah susun masa kini. Ditemukan bahwa tampilan setiap komponen rumah tradisional memiliki arti dan alasan mengapa menghasilkan tampilan demikian, termasuk bentuk bangunan secara umum maupun khusus pada bagian tertentu, seperti: atap, bukaan, ornamen, warna, halaman rumah, dan sebagainya. Citra setiap komponen tersebut dapat ditampilkan kembali pada rumah susun tanpa harus tertinggal oleh perkembangan arsitektur masa kini.Kata kunci: rumah susun, arsitektur tradisional, citra bangunan

Science learning is better related to nature through local wisdom since learners can gain more comprehension due to familiarity of occurring events through local wisdom based learning and they can preserve the local wisdom. This research aimed to identify physic concepts that occurred in the yarn processing using cotton by local society of None Fortress. The phenomenological design of qualitative research was undertaken in which the data triangulation technique comprised interviews, observation and documentation using an interview sheet, observation sheet and camera as instruments. The identification result of physic concepts in yarn production by None Fortress people covered Energy, Friction, Rotatory Motion, Circular Motion, Simple machine (Gear), Materials elasticity, vibration, measurement, capillarity, and radiation heat transfer. Based on the invented concepts, further research will expected to integrate the identification result in physic learning.
