The Central Rural Work Conference held at the end of 2020 emphasized that after the comprehensive victory in the fight against poverty, the focus of China’s work on the “three rural areas” had shifted historically, i.e., to comprehensively promote Rural revitalisation. The study of the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization in the new development stage is of great theoretical value and practical significance to the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country. The state has put forward new requirements of revitalization and construction of rural areas from top to bottom. This article briefly analyzes the problems faced by rural revival based on the perspective of ecological civilization. It takes Qiaoshi Town as an example to explain the main methods of promoting rural regeneration from the perspective of ecological civilization. I hope this article’s research content can bring certain value and enlightenment to the activation of rural ecosystems in various places.

For a long time, the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council have attached great importance to rural development. At the report of the 19th National Congress, the Communist Party of China clearly pointed out that we should firmly “implement the Rural Revitalization Strategy” and “adhere to the priority development of agriculture and rural areas”. With the improvement of rural ecological environment and the development of economic construction, rural tourism has become more and more popular among the public, and has become one of the important pillars of Rural Revitalization and poverty alleviation. At the same time, rural tourism has greatly increased villagers’ income, improved villagers’ quality of life, and improved villagers’ happiness index. It can be seen that the rural tourism industry and the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy promote each other, and the positive development of rural tourism is the only way to promote the construction of new socialist countryside. This paper discusses how to realize the sustainable development of rural tourism in the context of Rural Revitalization from the perspective of the long-term significance of rural tourism to Rural Revitalization and the ways to develop rural tourism.

Rural Revitalization cannot be carried out simply through industrialization that has been done by the traditional development. It needs the simultaneous development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries because the traditional development mode of rural tourism, which allows farmers to move away from villages and occupy good natural resources, has not been accepted.  In the process of rural revitalization development, the village collective should play a major role in formulating standardized processes and methods, focusing on optimizing resources, excavating the unique culture of the countryside, and encouraging the villagers to participate actively.   As an important link between villagers, tourists and the natural environment, rural leisure can promote villagers' return, retain tourists, and finally promote rural revitalization with the concept of ecological civilization, so as to realize the sustainable development of rural areas.

Since the rise of rural tourism in China in the 1980s, the natural conditions have mainly been relied on to develop such tourism projects as flower appreciation, fruit picking, fishing, and farm foods focusing on agricultural sightseeing and experiencing the rural life, which has long ignored the cultural attributes of rural tourism, resulting in the serious homogenization of rural tourism. The author believes that exploring traditional farming culture and improving local cultural self-confidence are the effective ways to solve the problem of rural tourism homogenization, to achieve the general requirements of agricultural and rural development in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on ‘industrial prosperity, ecological livability, rural civilization and affluent life’, and to promote rural revitalization.

Without agricultural and rural modernization, there would be no national modernization, and without rural revitalization, there would be no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed that the goal of “giving priority to the development of agriculture and rural areas and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization” is to increase efforts to continue the work of “agriculture, rural areas and farmers” and to continue the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization to make agricultural modernization, comprehensive rural progress, and comprehensive rural development. develop. Consolidating the basics Agriculture is the cornerstone of people’s stability and the key to national governance with a population of 1.4 billion. Agriculture must be developed. No matter where industrialization and urbanization are advanced, villages must not perish, and cities and rural areas must coexist. As General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out, if in the process of modernization, “the city is prosperous on one side and the countryside is on the other side”, “this kind of modernization cannot be successful”. As an important indicator to measure the degree of general social affluence and economic development in a country or region, peasant income has become an important focus of rural development under the new era rural revitalization strategy. The issue of farmers’ income is the core and key to the issue of “agriculture, rural areas and farmers”. Under the rural revitalization strategy, the traditional rural areas have undergone tremendous changes, and the wages of farmers’ wages, operating income, and transfer income are insufficient. Farmers’ continued income growth is facing enormous challenges. In the face of difficulties, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that “the second round of land contracting will be extended for another 30 years”. It can be seen that the party and the state have profoundly recognized the importance of peasant income for increasing farmers’ income.
