Halal has become the lifestyle of Muslim consumers in the world. As the Muslim populations increasing throughout the world, the awareness on consuming Halal also goes in the same parallel trend. In Malaysia, Halal food certification and management are given a lot of attention by the consumers, producers and regulators. However, Halal is not only covering only food consumption but also for nonfood products such as cosmetics, toiletries, pharmaceuticals, leather products, perfume and fragrances, brushes and so on. The services such as banking, entertainment, tourism, and logistic also related to Halal requirements. Thus, this research paper aims to investigate the awareness and perception of Muslim consumers on non-food Halal products and to identify the factors that influence the awareness and perception of consumers to the non-food Halal products. Moreover, this research also aims to confirm whether the identified variables have the strong influence to the level of awareness and perception of Muslim consumers on non-food Halal product. The samples of the research consisted of 236 government servants in the state of Selangor. The data are collected through questionnaire and analysed using the descriptive statistics, factor analysis and multiple regression. The results of the study revealed that the factors derived from factor analysis are: Halal information (X 1), Availability (X2), Halal on media (X3) and Halal programmes(X4). Based on correlation and regression analysis, it is predicted that all factors are significant except for Halal programmes (X4). This study implicates that Halal-related programmes by related organisations in Halal industry is still lacking in promoting the Halal awareness and perception on non-food products.

In Poland, institutions that perform public tasks in the field of the labour market are state employment services, including District Labour Offices (PUPs). They try to restore the unemployed to the open labour market using active forms of their activation. The activities of PUPs in the field of customer activation are subject to annual evaluation. According to the “Act on Employment Promotion and on Labour Market Institutions”, four indicators were selected for the evaluation of the functioning of labour offices in 2015–2017. Among them, the employment effectiveness index is very important, as its level allows us to assess to what extent active forms of activation of the unemployed implemented by PUPs contribute to the return of the unemployed to employment. This assessment is so important that in Poland as well as in other countries research has been conducted on both active forms of activation of the unemployed and employment policies. The aim of the research whose results are presented in the article was to identify factors influencing the employment effectiveness index achieved by District Labour Offices (PUPs) operating in Poland in 2016. Selected statistical methods were used, including correlation and regression analysis as well as multidimensional correspondence analysis. It turned out that the methods applied did not make it possible to unambiguously identify factors which had significantly affected the employment effectiveness index calculated on the basis of all forms of activation. It may turn out that clearer relations could be identified if this indicator was considered separately for particular forms of activation.

The main aim of this study was to assess the influence of communication on customer satisfaction. Descriptive statistics (mean score and standard deviation) were used to examine the customers’ perceptions and current status of customer satisfaction. The least performance was obtained from the mean score of communication dimension. Correlation and regression analysis were used to see the relationship between dependent and independent variables as well as to investigate cause and effect relationships. The key finding showed that there was a positive and significant effect of communication on customer satisfaction.

Free-cutting steel gains specific working properties thanks to the high content of sulfur and phosphorus. These elements, especially sulfur, have a rather high tendency to segregation. Therefore, segregation defects in free-cutting steel continuously cast billets can be significantly developed. The aim of the work was to study the influence of the chemical composition of freecutting steel and casting technological parameters on the quality of the macrostructure of continuously cast billets. A metallographic assessment of the internal structure of cast metal made of free-cutting steel and data processing by application of correlation and regression analysis were the research methods. The array of production data of 43 heats of free-cutting steel of grade A12 was studied. Steel casting on a five-strand radial type continuous casting machine was carried out by various methods of metal pouring from tundish into the molds. Metal of 19 heats was poured with an open stream, and 24 heats – by a closed stream through submerged nozzles with a vertical hole. High-quality billets had a cross-sectional size of 150×150 mm. The macrostructure of high-quality square billets made of free-cutting steel of A12 grade is characterized by the presence of central porosity, axial segregation and peripheral point contamination, the degree of development of which was in the range from 1.5 to 2.0 points, segregation cracks and strips – about 1.0 points. In the course of casting with an open stream, almost all of these defects are more developed comparing with the casting by a closed stream. As a result of correlation and regression analysis, linear dependences of the development degree of segregation cracks and strips both axial and angular on the sulfur content in steel and on the ratio of manganese content to sulfur content were established. The degree of these defects development increases with growing of sulfur content in steel of A12 grade. These defects had especially strong development when sulfur content in steel was of more than 0.10%. To improve the quality of cast metal, it is necessary to have the ratio of the manganese content to the sulfur content in the metal more than eight.
