Free-cutting steel gains specific working properties thanks to the high content of sulfur and phosphorus. These elements, especially sulfur, have a rather high tendency to segregation. Therefore, segregation defects in free-cutting steel continuously cast billets can be significantly developed. The aim of the work was to study the influence of the chemical composition of freecutting steel and casting technological parameters on the quality of the macrostructure of continuously cast billets. A metallographic assessment of the internal structure of cast metal made of free-cutting steel and data processing by application of correlation and regression analysis were the research methods. The array of production data of 43 heats of free-cutting steel of grade A12 was studied. Steel casting on a five-strand radial type continuous casting machine was carried out by various methods of metal pouring from tundish into the molds. Metal of 19 heats was poured with an open stream, and 24 heats – by a closed stream through submerged nozzles with a vertical hole. High-quality billets had a cross-sectional size of 150×150 mm. The macrostructure of high-quality square billets made of free-cutting steel of A12 grade is characterized by the presence of central porosity, axial segregation and peripheral point contamination, the degree of development of which was in the range from 1.5 to 2.0 points, segregation cracks and strips – about 1.0 points. In the course of casting with an open stream, almost all of these defects are more developed comparing with the casting by a closed stream. As a result of correlation and regression analysis, linear dependences of the development degree of segregation cracks and strips both axial and angular on the sulfur content in steel and on the ratio of manganese content to sulfur content were established. The degree of these defects development increases with growing of sulfur content in steel of A12 grade. These defects had especially strong development when sulfur content in steel was of more than 0.10%. To improve the quality of cast metal, it is necessary to have the ratio of the manganese content to the sulfur content in the metal more than eight.

The results of studies on the impact of industrial technology of potato cultivation on growth, yield and quality of products. There was a positive response of plants to fertilizer K2SO4 in the period of planting. Correlation and regression analysis of yield and quality of tubers revealed a high degree of reliability of the results of experience. The contents of nitrates and heavy metals in tubers was below the permissible values.

The improved technology of position control and alignment of the continuous casting machine (CCM) equipment based on high-precision online geodetic measurements is considered. The mathematical model for the technological axis of the continuous casting machine, the technique of the rational alignment of the machine’s equipment and the software implementing this technique are proposed. The application experience of the developed technique for control and aligning the equipment of continuous casting machines of different types is shown. The data on the efficiency of the technique for continuous casting machine equipment and its impact on the quality of a continuously cast ingot are presented.

Grounding in the agency theory, this paper questions whether high quality compensation committee influences the design of executive remuneration towards the alignment of the contrasting interests between managers and shareholders. Relying on a comprehensive approach that captures the compensation committee quality based on different attributes (i.e. independence, interlocking directorates, directors appointed by minorities) we conduct a two-step empirical analysis. First, we illustrate the evolution over time of the stock option plan characteristics and construct an illustrative diagram that shows the linkages between the attributes of the compensation committee quality and the elements of the option plans. Second, we run a probit regression analysis to deeply investigate the picture emerging from the diagram. Our results document that the quality of compensation committee significantly affects the assignment of incentive stock option plans. The paper evidence advances the knowledge in the literature on compensation committee and executive remuneration, by highlighting that structural characteristics of the committee other than independence of its members play a pivotal role in writing effective remuneration contracts for the executives. Our findings are also useful for investors and policymakers.

To date, the Russian Federation has created and is actively developing a system of strategic planning of socio-economic development, including subjects, objects, strategic documents, tools, regulatory and methodological framework, as well as a number of other elements. Despite the institutional formation, there are still quite a few problems in this system, especially at the regional level. The subjects of the Russian Federation have strategic documents at their level, the purpose of which is the socio-economic development of the region. Despite this, the quality of strategic documents is not always at a high level. First of all, the quality of strategic documents is influenced by a set of tools that allow you to achieve your goals and objectives. Within the framework of this study, a method of correlation and regression analysis is proposed in the system of strategic planning tools at the stage of determining priority areas.

Limestone-gypsum desulfurization (LGD) technique is rather popular with the Electric Utility industries in their desulfuration operation. It’s been proved that, Control of PH Value and the concentration of gypsum may prevent scaling. Adoption of rubber or plastic linings based on the medium traits and the types of desulfuration system can prevent corrosion. Simple internal structure, control of pH Value of absorption liquid between 5.6 ~ 5.8, and limestone of the particle size ≤325 meshes particle above 90% may raise the efficiency of absorption tower, and promote its longevity. Control of the concentration of Chloride ion (Cl-) may guarantee a high quality of gypsum products.

A TEM/STEM investigation has been directed towards improving the quality of continuously cast HSLA steels. The considerable economic advantages to be derived from continuous casting of HSLA steels is being arrested by the greatly reduced hot-ductility of the con-cast structures. Therefore, to determine the cause of this reduction in ductility, a microstructura1 investigation was conducted using unidirectiona11y solidified ingots to simulate the continuous casting process. This is part of an ongoing research program on Nb-bearing HSLA steels.

Continuous casting of steel has gradually replaced traditional casting, due to many advantages such as: casting to a close form to the finished product, low steel losses, the possibility of sequential casting of steel, high productivity, quality of continuously cast product. To benefit of all these advantages, the continuous casting machine must be flexible relative to the demands of customers. This paper presents a comparative analysis relative to main parameters of steel continuous casting for more type of semi-finished product, by processing of data collected from a continuous casting plant with five casting wires. From this study, can be pointed reliable conclusions relatively to the correlation of casting factors and the operating parameters for casting machine and with quality indicators for semi-finished continuous casting product.

This research adopted WebQual 4.0 to determine user satisfaction from members of the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Whatsapp Group (WAG) cooperative. A total of 150 samples were obtained to be ready for analysis. Correlation and Regression Analysis were used to analyze. The analysis results show that the WAG members of the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Cooperative are not satisfied with the quality of the information provided so far and the use of WAG as a medium for disseminating information. However, they are satisfied with the interactions carried out by the WAG admin in the group. In the future, it is hoped that the Yogyakarta "Veteran" UPN Cooperative can improve the way they provide information and pay attention to the quality of information before it is distributed to their WAG.

Education is very important thing for everyone. Parents tend to choose high-quality school or campus, to ensure their children’s education. One thing which determined parents to choose the campus for their children is the prospect for work. Faculty of Natural Science UII have high-quality department. Some of them already had highest accreditation level and even Internationally accredited. But some peoples in Indonesian often asked about what become of their children after graduated from the faculty of natural science or what is job that suit for their chlidren. The department of that faculty often not become the first choice when choosing campus. Therefore, the research to study about factors which determine people to choose their college department is needed. In this paper, the study is focused on factors which influence people’s decision score to choose the department in the faculty of natural science. We are using correlation and regression analysis. The result show that factors which influence the people’s decision are different between one department with another. Those factor consist of: product, promotion, and the price/cost.
