Dietary habit is behaviors that are appropriate for the selection of the right foods so that they will provide good nutritional status. Nutrients that consist of macronutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and micro substances such as vitamins and minerals needed by the body for the process of growth and development. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between eating patterns with the nutritional status and cognitive abilities of elementary school children. Cross-Sectional research design. The population in this study were all students as many as 367 students, the sampling used was a Stratified random sampling technique, a sample of 192 respondents. Data analysis uses the Spearman Rank Rho statistical test. The results of the analysis of dietary variables with nutritional status were obtained ρ (0.003) <α (0.05), so H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a relationship between eating patterns and nutritional status of school-age children, with a value of r = 0.210 which showed a high positive correlation. The results of the analysis of nutritional status variables with cognitive abilities obtained results ρ = 0.00, <α = 0.05. meaning that there is a relationship between nutritional status and cognitive learning achievement in elementary school children. Normal nutritional status can be obtained by applying a positive diet so that the intake that enters the body in accordance with the needs of the body. Children who have normal nutritional status have good cognitive abilities. Parents are the most important support in optimizing children's growth and development

Abstract: Nutritious and safe intake is a prerequisite for the growth and development of school-age children. Poor breakfast habits and snacks for school children that do not meet the requirements contribute significantly to the nutritional problems of school-age children. This is one of the priority health problems. Low achievement in the implementation of school children's nutrition programs has led to healthy breakfast and snack innovations workshops at one of the elementary schools in Sekarbela sub-district, Mataram city. The workshop participants included 50 people consisting of school-age children, parents, teachers, and canteen vendors. The workshop was guided by a nutritionist, and he explained the selection of nutritional intake, both through breakfast and snack. Also, participants were trained to practice a variety of healthy breakfast innovation menus. After the workshop, participants were able to practice and be actively involved in making a healthy breakfast innovation menu. The response of participants to the menu is quite good. After mentoring by a nutritionist, parents and teachers can solve the problems encountered. Cafeteria vendors get input regarding snacks supply after expert review. This workshop has been going well and has produced the results as targeted.Keywords: PJAS, healthy breakfast, workshop, school-age children.

Pre-school period is one of the most important times for children’s growth and development. If there is a growth and development disturbance at this time, it will impact when the child is growing up. One of the factors which related with growth of pre-school children is nutritional status of height for age. The purpose of the study was to analyzed the relationship between the nutritional status of height for age with the cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional abilities of pre-school age children. This research was an analytical observational study using a cross sectional design. Sample of this study was 35 pre-school children selected randomly using simple random sampling. Samples were student of TK Hang Tuah 22, Candi, Sidoarjo. Data collection instrument includes the questionnaire on the characteristics of the subject and the respondent, a Denver instrument Developmental Screening Test II (DDST/Denver II). Spearman Rho test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a relationship between height for age nutritional status with cognitive abilities. However, there was no relationship between the nutritional status of height for age with physical and socio-emotional ability. The conclusion of the study is nutritional status of height for age has a significant association with cognitive abilities in pre-school children. Thus, parents need to monitor the nutritional status height for age of their children by measure the anthropometric result periodically and fulfill the nutritional needs of protein, calcium, vitamin D, zinc, and others. Therefore, if there is any problem founded, it can be handled properly and will not affect the growth and development of the children.

Main subject for the research in this paper are the pre-school object/buildings in the Municipality of Centre, where throughout comparative analysis we get concrete solutions for improving the psycho-physical needs by the pre-school children. With proper space organization and proper use and heat comfort which is key condition for unspoiled development of all functions set by the needs of the children. Playrooms as central rooms in the pre-school buildings, where all the functions of the children during the day are carried out, are subjected to a major articulation and specific interventions. With proper conception of the inner space in the building and use of proper equipment, the play room will be transformed in a place where the children will have healthy and adequate growth and development. The use of furniture which is suitable to the proportions of the pre-school children has key influence for proper body development of the children. Therefore in this paper I used anthropometric analysis to the pre-school children, where throughout the relevant figures we can fulfil proper projection of the furniture elements which are used in pre-school institutions.

Screen-based behavior which is part of sedentary behavior arises due to various facilities from the development of science and technology. This has various impacts on growth and development in children, so it is necessary to apply parent coaching. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parent coaching on sedentary behavior in pre-school children. This research uses quasy experimental design with a pre testpost test approach. The sample in this study were 45 respondents taken using the Purpossive Sampling Technique. This research was conducted at TK ABA III Pare Kediri. Researchers identified inactivity before and after the parent coaching intervention was given. This study uses a bivariate paired t test analysis. The results of the analysis showed a p value of 0,000 which means that there is an influence between parent coaching on impaired behavior in pre-school children.
