This journal is about the design process of Resort Hotels located in Tongging by adopting a Neo Vernacular design approach into the building. The problem in this design process is how to apply the Neo-Vernacular architecture approach to this Resort Hotel building. How to create comfortable outdoor and indoor space for visitors to the tourist area?. How to choose the right material according to the current temperature and conditions, so that it can support the character of the building. The purpose of this design is to apply the Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach to the Tongging Resort Hotel building by looking at the locality context, and designing the out and inside spaces that are comfortable for visitors by uniting indirectly between both areas. Choose the right material according to the temperature and existing conditions, to support the building's character. The methodology carried out in this design was location survey (physical data collection), comparative study, literature study, data processing, conceptualization, schematic and arrived at the final design. The discovery in this design is to design a building that is in an area that has strong locality must do research and analysis to get the concept that is suitable and can be received by the surrounding community and visitors. The author also found that the selection of building materials should source from the site location. For general people, this design is useful as a reference to help similar design buildings.

The development of the historic area in Medan Labuhan requires hotels that meet the standards of domestic and foreign tourists. Tourism development is noteworthy because tourism services include the leading sector in the national economy. As an effort to develop new tourism area, Cultural Heritage Area in Medan Labuhan is a historical tourism area that has the potential to be visited by tourists both domestic and foreign tourists. For this thesis proposed design “Hotel Resort in Chinatown Medan Labuhan Area.” So the resort hotel design approach uses the theme of Vernacular Architecture because the location of the design has an intense relationship with the Heritage Buildings especially Taopekong building. This thing is to reinvigorate the identity of this Chinatown Region like its heyday by making a resort hotel that blends with the old building. The research method used is ethnography method with qualitative data collection. Data collection was obtained from the literature study, field survey, comparative study, and group discussion. So Hotel Resort is the best solution to develop Medan Labuhan Area. With the facilities provided are old building store area, function room, bar & lounge, restaurant, cafe, swimming pool, playground, artificial lake & cottages.

The process of choosing building materials is an essential part of the design process. Whenever architects and interior designers start to think about a project, one of the first things they consider is the materials that will be used in the production of the project. There is little research exploring the impact of globalization on the level of using imported and local building materials in Jordan. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the impact of globalization on the level of using imported and local building materials in Jordan and explore the impact of using imported building materials on the level of using local building materials in Jordan. For the purpose of this study, data gathered about the usage of imported building materials in Jordan and analyzed to observe any drops of rises of using specific building materials. Also, this data was used to understand the most common imported building materials used. This study requires a total understanding of the relationship between globalization and building materials and their impact on the economy and the usage of imported and local building materials. comprehension of this relationship will make it possible to find solutions to integrate the use of imported building materials and local materials. Globalization impact can be observed in other sectors in Jordan. The building materials market is being affected by the phenomenon of globalization. It was found that there is a noticeable increase in imported building materials or raw materials that are needed to manufacture building materials. If the attitude toward the usage of local building materials in Jordan keep decreases and relying on imported building materials in the construction section, there will be a recession in the local building materials in Jordan. Having this recession will have a greater impact on the building materials and local factories in the long term.

Implications of family sale agreements made by a Notary in the case of an heir who refuses a sale and purchase agreement is to file a civil suit against the sale and purchase agreement with the District Court. <p><b>“Re-collecting” Caravan re-interprets caravaning as the basis of a 21st century New Zealand vernacular architecture. Two themes run through this thesis: the caravan as an article of nostalgia, and the caravan in architecture as marginal. The final design outcome is a new typology of holidaying vessels within New Zealand’s camping grounds. This thesis begins with the specific history of the caravan within New Zealand and the facts that surround the reality of caravaning in today’s society: the caravan has become a celebrated cultural relic of our recent past of which is now continually used as a symbol or icon of New Zealand. A fear for the loss of the caravan as a living holiday reality sparked a cultural nostalgia and the foundations for this research. To prevent the loss of the adored functional domestic vessel, the caravan was next analysed for its compositional and phenomenal attributes of which could later help inform an architectural response. It was the ‘retro’ aesthetic combined with the fact that ephemeral cultural artefacts (such as the caravan) do not typically ‘belong’ in the architectural realm that bought about the second theme. Kitsch as a by-product of a re-interpreted retro artefact is addressed before moving on to the design process and final design.</b></p> <p>Although orientated specifically toward the caravan, this thesis addresses the wider issues of celebrating and liberating the architectural influences of the margins. It deals with kitsch, lifestyles, nostalgia, miniature, popular culture, media, tourism, mobility, and iconism.</p>

Tongging Village is a tourist village located on the shores of Lake Toba. The natural wealth is owned by Tongging villages such as Sipiso-Piso waterfall which is the highest waterfall in Indonesia, also Sapo Juma which is a flower garden and camping area not far from the site location. However, with the natural wealth of various tourist areas in Tongging Village has not been developed optimally. Accommodation in the village is also still very restricted because of this the need for supporting facilities that add visitors to the region. The application of Neo-Vernacular architecture aims to revive the traditional Siwaluh Jabu house which many people have forgotten. In this building, the concept of neo-vernacular architecture is seen regarding physical and non-physical aspects. If viewed from a physical point of view, this building uses materials and ornaments in traditional Karo houses and is also seen on the non-physical side of a traditional Karo house use double-loaded corridors and more flexible use of space. A resort Hotel in Tongging village that applies Neo-Vernacular architecture is expected to be an indicator of increased tourism and a reminder of traditional homes in the villages of Tongging and also North Sumatra.
