Basically, every rental service is a business that serves to maintain, manage, and utilize rental tools that are then provided to customers. The development of this company, the need for technology is needed to support the work of the system to more quickly and efficiently in processing letters, bill notes and notes change goods, and displays notification information in the form of schedule events to facilitate the provision of information directly to all employees. Current conditions in the rental SUYONO in running its business activities have not used the information system technology so that in the operation of the operational activities are still slow. SUYONO rental requires an information system which will support its business activities. Information System users are not only used in information and communications technology (ICT) organizations but also used by companies to support their business activities. From some shortcomings that exist in the company then the researcher is interested to make a Rental Apparatus Party with the Notification System, so the rental SUYONO in performing its operations more easily and quickly. The existence of the application of party equipment rental can help SUYONO rental to process the data in accordance with the necessary needs, as well as Output results in the form of travel documents, the bill notes, change notes, and billing reports can speed up the presentation process. With the notification in the form of event schedule information displayed on the second screen can facilitate both for employees and office staff in providing information on the event schedule directly.   Keywords: Information Systems, Party Equipment Rental, Notifications, SUYONO

This paper was presented at the conference ‘Integrating spatial technologies and ecological principles for a new age in fire management’, Boise, Idaho, USA, June 1999 Fire modeling and information system technology play an important supporting role in fuel and fire management. Modeling is used to examine alternative fuel treatment options, project potential ecosystem changes, and assess risk to life and property. Models are also used to develop fire prescriptions, conduct prescribed fire operations, and predict fire behavior. Fire models and information systems have greatly influenced fuel assessment methods. As an example, we examine the evolution of technology used to put Rothermel’s fire spread model into application. A review of fire and fuel modeling terminology is given, and the relationship between fire models and fuel models is explained. We review current fire modeling work and the influence that it will have on fuel characterization. Finally, we discuss opportunities and challenges involved in the use of advanced computers, the Internet, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing in fire and fuel management.

As the information and communications technology becomes more advanced, various new information and education systems are implemented in universities. Hence, universities often conduct workshops to introduce on how to use the new systems. In this respect, one challenge might be faced by universities is how a workshop can be conducted effectively to ensure that participants master the new teaching information systems. Thus, this paper aims to share (i) the ways of an instructor introducing a new system, and (ii) the experiences of participants to learn a new system in the workshop. A total of 13 participants attended the workshop, but only 9 of them voluntarily filled in the questionnaire form. The result shows that participants agreed that the workshop content is useful for them and they learned how to use the new system.

Teaching Information System Technology in Partnership with IT CompaniesWe describe an example of partnership between a university and some major IT companies - IBM and Microsoft - to teach a course on information systems technology. The course is taught in the fifth (final) year of the university undergraduate program when students have already mastered the basic theoretical knowledge of information system development. For this reason, the course content was restructured to pay more attention to practical experience and the learning opportunities available within the environment of professional industry. During the course, students get acquainted with IBM and Microsoft products and the tools that support the development of online information systems. Special attention is devoted to group project work, which is not just intended for the improvement of technical skills, but also for the aqusition of transferrable skills such as teamwork, management/leadership, planning and organizing, presentation and documentation, searching for information, etc. We describe our experience from teaching the course in the academic years 2005/06 and 2006/07. A description of the course content is given and the results of a survey among the students are presented. Students responded favourably to the new approach and found the course very useful and interesting.

This paper describes how chaos theory was implemented to explain a behavioral aspect in an information system. The chaos theory was developed from the physical sciences and has been widely applied to many fields. However, this theory may also be applied to the social sciences. For certain types of human behavior, the chaos theory could comprehensively explain the phenomena of the use of information and communications technology (ICT). It means that this theory could clarify all the different kinds of human interactions with ICT. When the researchers used the chaos theory integratively, they could explain the distressed behavior of ICT users comprehensively. This theory argues that an individual acts randomly, even though the system is deterministic. When individuals use ICT, they could get technostress due to either the information systems or other users. This paper explains that ICT users could use information systems, with their complicated procedures and outputs. They were also probably disturbed by other users. The users, furthermore, experience chaotic pressures through their experiential values. This paper shows that users’ behavior when facing chaotic pressure depends upon their personality dimensions. The authors finally propose a new paradigm that this chaos theory could explain the chaotic actions of ICT users.

The purpose of this study is to find the requirement of Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT) in the development of the construction of Base Transceiver Station tower (BTS). The methodology that is used is the method of Ward and Peppard. The relevant data were extracted from interviews with the management. Questionnaires were distributed to 16 respondents, and observation was made accordingly. The results of this study are in the form of the application portfolio recommendation, proposal of the IT Division enhancement and the action time of IS/IT. The planning of IS/IT is as a guiding framework for the development of future changes at PT. Lintas Group. Keywords: Information System, Technology Information, application portfolio, telecommunication.

The development of technology which continues to increase rapidly has an impact on the internal processing of a company that is required to run faster. Information system technology is the main solution as a tool for activities in a company that is faster and more practical, and allows obtaining data that is more valid, precise and minimizes errors. PT Asahi Fibreglass is a company in Jakarta which started its business from 2001 which is engaged in manufacturing and marketing products for the needs of fiberglass products for industrial, residential, building and property needs. In operational activities of PT. Asahi Fibreglass has several obstacles in the process of recording stock items which still use a book-based recording method which makes recording look messy, there are differences in recording the physical stock of goods in the warehouse with the recording of goods recorded in a Microsoft Excel file, there are missing or tucked data because it still uses manual methods and is still book-based. The purpose of creating a web-based inventory information system at PT Asahi Fibreglass is a system improvement in regulating the flow or path of the process of in and out of warehouse goods that will replace the old inventory system that still uses Microsoft Excel, as well as speed up the process of making reports, and minimize errors in the inventory recording process.

Nowadays, although the pageraji village government has implemented e-government but more to increase services through the elimination of the old and complicated bureaukasi structure. In this case more information systems are used to speed up and automate processes. There is no information system yet focused on supporting the decision process. Pakkades.id is a type of information system intended to facilitate budgeting mechanisms. In the process of drafting village development budgets, community participation or aspirations are urgently needed. However, there are often obstacles to getting aspirations from the community because the mechanism that is implemented now only through deliberations implemented one day, this will narrow the reach. Therefore, with the implementation of Pakkades.id which is the result of the study authors of the Funding Ristek Dikti 2019 is expected to efficiency and effectively process decision making through the process of capturing the aspirations of the community better.
