scholarly journals About Economic Agent Reputation Value and Role in Modern Conditions of Management (Regional Aspect)

The established system transformations in the mechanisms and the principles of economic development, based mainly on the dominant role of human capital, the rapidly increasing importance of intangible production factors, etc., form a new layer of opportunities for an effective use of potential, social and economic growth of territories. These capabilities should include the reputation of economic entities, regardless of their territorial, economic, social, institutional scale, etc. This article outlines the main arguments and the grounds that actualize the role and the importance of reputational economy in the current economic conditions. The study was implemented with the emphasis on the territorial aspect, which is reflected in the authors’ attempt to reveal the categories under study through the prism of regional analysis. Within a comprehensive review of various approaches to the category of "reputational economy", they made an attempt to interpret the concept in the author’s way, largely based on institutional analysis tools and approaches. Meanwhile, it should be noted that the study touches upon only a small part of reputational economy problematics study. Let’s note a number of fundamental and applied issues that need to be solved and require additional research, since most of them are not affected in the scientific space either partially or completely at the current time.

The ability of an economy to adapt to changing economic conditions through the implementation of structural changes is linked to its ability to effectively generate economic growth. The need to know the intensity and direction of favourable structural changes is of key importance for achieving their high efficiency. In the article, a critical analysis of the different structural economic policies is made, taking into account the consequences of implementing the ones that are not in line with the real economic circumstances. Examples of so-called premature deindustrialisation as a result of inadequate structural policy are also considered. In conclusion, the vision of the role of the state in the conduct of a structural economic policy to achieve favourable economic results is presented.

The generally adopted view is that the gross-output-based MFP is the most correct in terms of methodology, and the value-added-based MFP is its imperfect substitute performed when some data are missing. In this paper, however, performing both of them and comparing their results is proposed as a valuable means to studying the development of outsourcing in the economy. The paper presents the elaboration of the methodology for the latter, which is its main contribution to the field. The case of the Polish economy is used as an applicative example (covering the period between 2005 and 2016), as KLEMS growth accounting has recently been implemented in Poland. The results demonstrate that around the year 2011, the expansion of outsourcing ceased. Since outsourcing was one of the main processes of the Polish transition, this observation can be considered as an indication of the maturing of the market economy in Poland. Moreover, KLEMS growth accounting makes it possible to study this issue through NACE activities, i.e. at the industry level. It shows that manufacturing (section C of NACE) is predominantly responsible for the situation described above, which is the main empirical finding of the study. The dominant role of manufacturing is also confirmed by some other sectoral observations of lesser importance. The methodology developed in this paper can potentially be applied to other countries for which both kinds of MFP are performed.

It is known that the human factor is one of the most important production factors contributing to economic growth, interest in investing in education has increased.  In modern conditions, recognition of the effective role of investment in education in achieving comprehensive economic and social development has intensified. Many Governments have realized the value of investing in education and the need to create knowledge based on the benefits of economic growth. The profession of an economist in modern conditions is a rather promising area of training in higher education. Of particular interest in modern conditions is the need to analyze the existing economic conditions, when the epidemic of coronavirus infection radically changed the established trade and production ties. For this reason, the need to educate and train future specialists in the field of economics, who possess both theoretical and practical knowledge, is quite high, since the future of many countries of the world depends on them and they will be able to develop the necessary anti-crisis plan for states to break the economic impasse.

The role of education as a socio-economic variable of the country in the context of globalization is constantly growing. Its multidimensionality is the subject to the functions implemented in the relations between society and the economy. The social, cultural, spiritual and educational function of education is a significant and indisputable subject of study in the relevant sciences. The recognition of the economic role of education, the development of estimates its effectiveness and the direction of its growth is a problem which solution depends on whether the striking discrepancy between the productivity of education and the expectations of the economy regarding its importance will be canceled. Obviously, the economic role of education is realized, first of all, in relation to its economic growth. As the development of intellectual potential is a product of the education system that develops new knowledge, provides innovative and technological improvement of production and its embodiment in an increase in the social product, which stimulates economic growth. The aim of this paper is a scientific and experimental review of the economic conditions for the development of world educational systems in the context of globalization. The main background to the development of education is the proper investment in it. Typically for European countries is the fact that most expenditures on education is in the form of government consumption, although it is the consumers who actually spend the most. However, measuring costs only in this way significantly underestimates them, since a more subtle form of costs is completely missed: the opportunity cost of lost wages, since some students are not able to be involved in employment during their studies. It is estimated that the total cost, including the alternative cost of education, are twice the direct costs.

In lowering the barriers of technological production, “making” is being envisioned as a new site of entrepreneurship, economic growth and innovation. Our research shows how the city of Shenzhen is figuring as a key site in implementing this vision. In this paper, we explore the “making of Shenzhen” as the “Silicon Valley for hardware.” We examine, in particular, how maker-entrepreneurs are drawn to processes of design and open sharing central to the manufacturing culture of Shenzhen, challenging conceptual binaries of design as a creative process versus manufacturing as its numb execution. Drawing from the legacy of participatory design and critical computing, the paper examines the social, material, and economic conditions that underlie the growing relationship between contemporary maker culture and the concomitant remake of Shenzhen. </span></p></div></div></div>

This study examines the role of technology and investment in the business sector in driving net exports and economic growth. This study uses secondary data from world banks to process regression using the moving average autoregression method. When the government focuses on directing the export-oriented Indonesian economy by increasing investment in the business sector and investment in the development of supporting technology for an export-oriented economy will result in integration between the business, technology and international trade sectors that will encourage net exports and export-based economic growth with a fluctuating economic growth trend following global economic conditions. However, despite this economic growth is positive.
