paper proposed a way to secure and protect pc or laptop remotely via mobile device. These two device communicate by exchanging information or data using database connection. There will be two applications that are developed, windows-based application and mobile application. The proposed scheme used some firewall configuration and log management to complete the process. The firewall configuration will block computer attacks such as Denial of Service. Log management is to generate a specific log file if there is a possible threat. It will then invoke. the windows application to update the database which is regularly accessed by mobile application. It then alerts user on possible attack or threat.

The concept of "sensor" in the system of physical experiment at school is considered in the article. The possibility of using sensors in physics lessons is substantiated: transformation of an input signal into an output is accompanied by transformation of one type of energy into another (according to the law of conservation of energy), and the functioning of the sensors are based on physical phenomena (physical effects or principles), which are described by the relevant physical laws. The article deals with the methodical aspects of using the Google Science Journal mobile application in physics lessons. This application allows you to use the sensors of your mobile device for a physical experiment. As an example we consider the frontal laboratory work "Determination of the period of oscillation of the mathematical pendulum". The method of its carrying out is offered in two approaches: the first one involves the traditional technique of conducting the experiment, and the second approach is using the mobile application Google Science Journal. The article shows that the use of smartphone sensors in physics lessons has perspectives in the context of STEM education. Thus, the use of the considered application is of current importance and requires further scientific and methodological research on its use in the high school physical experimentation system. The Science Journal mobile application can be used to connect external sensors, which will have a positive impact on the introduction of STEM education, and to use Arduino in the demonstration of physical experiments by a physics teacher. Connecting sensors using an Arduino microcontroller is particularly promising in creative lab work on physics.

A melanoma is the deadliest skin cancer, so early diagnosis can provide a positive prognosis for treatment. Modern methods for early detecting melanoma on the image of the tumor are considered, and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. The article demonstrates a prototype of a mobile application for the detection of melanoma on the image of a mole based on a convolutional neural network, which is developed for the Android operating system. The mobile application contains melanoma detection functions, history of the previous examinations and a gallery with images of the previous examinations grouped by the location of the lesion. The HAM10000-based training dataset has been supplemented with the images of melanoma from the archive of The International Skin Imaging Collaboration to eliminate class imbalances and improve network accuracy. The search for existing neural networks that provide high accuracy was conducted, and VGG16, MobileNet, and NASNetMobile neural networks have been selected for research. Transfer learning and fine-tuning has been applied to the given neural networks to adapt the networks for the task of skin lesion classification. It is established that the use of these techniques allows to obtain high accuracy of the neural network for this task. The process of converting a convolutional neural network to an optimized Flatbuffer format using TensorFlow Lite for placement and use on a mobile device is described. The performance characteristics of the selected neural networks on the mobile device are evaluated according to the classification time on the CPU and GPU and the amount of memory occupied by the file of a single network is compared. The neural network file size was compared before and after conversion. It has been shown that the use of the TensorFlow Lite converter significantly reduces the file size of the neural network without affecting its accuracy by using an optimized format. The results of the study indicate a high speed of application and compactness of networks on the device, and the use of graphical acceleration can significantly decrease the image classification time of the tumor. According to the analyzed parameters, NASNetMobile was selected as the optimal neural network to be used in the mobile application of melanoma detection.

The efficacy of a mobile application to increase connectedness to nature and impart flora/fauna/ecological knowledge was assessed in 747 children in three separate and distinctive parks: a wetland, a prairie grassland, and an indoor tropical garden. The mobile application was developed with place-based education in mind. At each park, children were randomly assigned to one of three groups. One group of children toured the park using an application on a mobile device with their chaperones, another group toured the park with an environmental educator and their chaperones, and a third group toured the parks with a paper map and their chaperones. Results showed that the mobile application was just as effective at connecting children to nature as more traditional ways of non-formal environmental education, but the mobile application offered additional benefits such as higher ratings of fun.

The evaluation of mobile applications is increasingly taking into account the users of such applications’ mobility (e.g., Mizobuchi, Chignell, & Newton, 2005; Mustonen , Olkkonen, & Hakkinen, 2004). While clearly an important factor, mobility on its own often does not require the user’s visual focus to any great extent. Real-life users, however, are required to be aware of potential hazards while moving through their environment. This chapter outlines a simple classification for describing these distractions and two evaluations into the effect visual distractions have on the users of a mobile application. In both cases, the participants were required to monitor both their environment and the display of their mobile device. The results of both evaluations indicated that monitoring the environment has an effect on both task performance and the subjective workload experienced by the participants, indicating that such distractions should be considered when designing future evaluations.

A log is a record of events that happens within an organization containing systems and networks. These logs are very important for any organization, because a log file will able to record all user activities. Due to this, log files play a vital role and contain sensitive information, and therefore security should be a high priority. It is very important to the proper functioning of any organization, to securely maintain log records over an extended period of time. So, management and maintenance of logs is a very difficult task. However, deploying such a system for high security and privacy of log records may be overhead for an organization and require additional costs. Many techniques have been designed for security of log records. The alternative solution for maintaining log records is using Blockchain technology. A blockchain will provide security of the log files. Log files over a Blockchain environment leads to challenges with a decentralized storage of log files. This article proposes a secured log management over Blockchain and the use of cryptographic algorithms for dealing the issues to access a data storage. This proposed technology may be one complete solution to the secure log management problem.

Among the many deep learning methods, the convolutional neural network (CNN) model has an excellent performance in image recognition. Research on identifying and classifying image datasets using CNN is ongoing. Animal species recognition and classification with CNN is expected to be helpful for various applications. However, sophisticated feature recognition is essential to classify quasi-species with similar features, such as the quasi-species of parrots that have a high color similarity. The purpose of this study is to develop a vision-based mobile application to classify endangered parrot species using an advanced CNN model based on transfer learning (some parrots have quite similar colors and shapes). We acquired the images in two ways: collecting them directly from the Seoul Grand Park Zoo and crawling them using the Google search. Subsequently, we have built advanced CNN models with transfer learning and trained them using the data. Next, we converted one of the fully trained models into a file for execution on mobile devices and created the Android package files. The accuracy was measured for each of the eight CNN models. The overall accuracy for the camera of the mobile device was 94.125%. For certain species, the accuracy of recognition was 100%, with the required time of only 455 ms. Our approach helps to recognize the species in real time using the camera of the mobile device. Applications will be helpful for the prevention of smuggling of endangered species in the customs clearance area.
