Introduction. The objective of the study was the quantitative assessment of the effect of internal exposure to the lifetime in Mayak PA workers based on analyzing the dependence of certain lifetime rates on the incorporation of plutonium-239. Material and methods. There was investigated a cohort of deceased Mayak PA workers employed in 1948-1958 with known Pu-239 body burden comprising 2343 individuals, including 1739 males and 604 females. Using regression analysis we have assessed the dependence of general lifetime and lifetime after the start of work as well as of proportion of individuals who did not survive until standard age in general and after a start of work from incorporated Pu-239 separately for workers of different age. Statistical values were defined using STATISTICA software. Results. It was stated that for 1 kBq of incorporated Pu-239: a general lifetime in males decreased by 0.32 years and after a start of work - by 0.41 years; in females - by 0.22 and 0.28 years respectively. For 1 kBq of incorporated Pu-239 proportion of males who did not survive until 65 years of general lifetime and proportion of males who did not survive 40 years after a start of work increased by 1.33 and 1.87% respectively; in females for 70 and 45 years - by 0.90 and 1.14% respectively. Conclusion. Thus, the workers’ dependence of lifetime after a start of work on incorporated Pu-239 was higher than of a general lifetime. A proportion of workers who did not survive until the standard age after the start of work was higher than the proportion of workers who did not survive until a general standard age. Dependence of decrease of lifetime rates under the study from incorporated Pu-239 in males was more significant than in females.

Purpose: The objective of the study was in quantitative assessment of the effect of internal exposure to lifetime in Mayak PA workers based on analyzing dependence of certain lifetime rates on incorporation of plutonium-239 regarding tumor and non-tumor causes of death. Material and methods: The cohort of deceased Mayak PA workers employed in1948–1958 with known Pu-239 body burden comprising 2343 individuals, of them 1739 males and 604 females, was investigated. Using regression analysis we have assessed dependence of general lifetime and lifetime after start of work as well as of proportion of individuals who did not survive until standard age in general and after start of work from incorporated Pu-239 separately for workers of different age regarding tumor and non-tumor causes of death. Statistical values were defined using Statistica software. Results: It was stated that in case of increase of plutonium-239 body burden in males and females reliably increased shortening of lifetime and lifetime after start of work was observed as well as increased proportion of individuals who did not survive until standard lifetime rate and until standard lifetime after start of work. Reliable regression equations for dependence of the studied lifetime values from radionuclide incorporation rate were obtained based on regression analysis. Generally, changes in the studied characteristics of lifetime after start of work were more evident than in general lifetime characteristics. Conclusion: Reliable dependence of shortening of lifetime and lifetime after start of work, of increased proportion of individuals who did not survive until standard lifetime and lifetime after start of work among Mayak PA workers of different gender from incorporation of plutonium-239 regarding tumor and non-tumor causes of death was stated. Dependence of lifetime after start of work on incorporated plutonium-239 was higher than of general lifetime that could be probably due to direct contact of workers with radionuclide after start of work. The results obtained indicate feasibility of using not only general lifetime but also lifetime after start of work in assessment of lifetime among workers who are in contact with production hazardous factors.

A lot of existing reinforced concrete girder bridges appeared cracks in the service phase. Because of the beam's cracks existing, the sectional bending stiffness of the beam decreased. It would reduce the structure's bearing capacity, so the bridges' structure performance urgently needs to be assessed by effective methods, so as to study further measures. In this paper, based on the indoor model test results of four pieces of model beams, regression analysis of the crack characteristics parameters and test's load-displacement curves has been carried out. The relationship between crack characteristics parameters and girder bridge's bending stiffness has been established. The qualitative assessment of structure crack's appearance inspection is transmitted to quantitative assessment, so it will make the assessment more objective and scientific.

Abstract. Depression in older adults can be explained by Erikson’s theory on the conflict of ego integrity versus hopelessness. The study investigated the relationship between past acceptance, hopelessness, death anxiety, and depressive symptoms in 100 older (≥50 years) adults. The total Beck Hopelessness (BHS), Geriatric Depression (GDS), and Accepting the Past (ACPAST) subscale scores of the depressed group were higher, while the total Death Anxiety (DAS) and Reminiscing the Past (REM) subscale scores of both groups were similar. A regression analysis revealed that the BHS, DAS, and ACPAST predicted the GDS. Past acceptance seems to be important for ego integrity in older adults.

Radin Inten II Airport is a national flight in Lampung Province. In this study using the technical analysis stated preference which is the approach by conveying the choice statement in the form of hypotheses to be assessed by the respondent. By using these techniques the researcher can fully control the hypothesized factors. To determine utility function for model forecasting in fulfilling request of traveler is used regression analysis with SPSS program. The analysis results obtained that the passengers of the dominant airport in the selection of modes of cost attributes than on other attributes. From the result of regression analysis, the influence of independent variable to the highest dependent variable is when the five attributes are used together with the R square value of 8.8%. The relationship between cost, time, headway, time acces and service with the selection of modes, the provision that states whether or not there is a decision. The significance of α = 0.05 with chi-square. And the result of Crame's V test average of 0.298 is around the middle, then the relationship is moderate enough.

Background: It is currently believed that protein folding rates are influenced by protein structure, environment and temperature, amino acid sequence and so on. We have been working for long to determine whether and in what ways mRNA affects the protein folding rate. A large number of palindromes aroused our attention in our previous research. Whether these palindromes do have important influences on protein folding rates and what’s the mechanism? Very few related studies are focused on these problems. Objective: In this article, our motivation is to find out if palindromes have important influences on protein folding rates and what’s the mechanism. Method: In this article, the parameters of the palindromes were defined and calculated, the linear regression analysis between the values of each parameter and the experimental protein folding rates were done. Furthermore, to compare the results of different kinds of proteins, proteins were classified into the two-state proteins and the multi-state proteins. For the two kinds of proteins, the above linear regression analysis were performed respectively. Results : Protein folding rates were negatively correlated to the palindrome frequencies for all proteins. An extremely significant negative linear correlation appeared in the relationship between palindrome densities and protein folding rates. And the repeatedly used bases by different palindromes simultaneously have an important effect on the relationship between palindrome density and protein folding rate. Conclusion: The palindromes have important influences on protein folding rates, and the repeatedly used bases in different palindromes simultaneously play a key role in influencing the protein folding rates.
