O estudo dos sistemas de iluminação residencial é fundamental para os alunos do curso Técnico em Edificações. Geralmente as práticas de ensino adotadas nas escolas públicas são tradicionalistas, onde o aluno assume uma postura passiva em seu processo de aprendizagem. Este artigo avalia a contribuição de uma sequência didática sobre circuitos elétricos de iluminação residencial, acionados por interruptores simples, intermediários e paralelos no Curso Técnico Integrado em Edificações. O trabalho proposto foi concebido para que pudesse contribuir com o docente no processo de ensino, a fim de motivar no aluno a consciência, a motivação, a reflexão e o prazer pelo estudo. Para tanto, utilizouse ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem combinadas com o uso de componentes animados, além de aulas práticas laboratoriais. Os resultados demonstraram que o uso de sequências didáticas, quando bem planejadas, torna o processo de ensino-aprendizagem mais dinâmico, interativo e mais eficiente. Sequência Didática. Generally the teaching practices adopted in public schools are traditionalist, where the student takes a passive stance in his learning process. This article evaluates the contribution of a didactic sequence on electrical circuits of residential lighting, activated by simple, intermediate and parallel switches in the Integrated Technical Course in Buildings. The proposed work was conceived so that it could contribute with the teacher in the teaching process, in order to motivate in the student the conscience, the motivation, the reflection and the pleasure for the study. For that, virtual learning environments were used combined with the use of animated components, in addition to practical laboratory classes. Generalmente le pratiche di insegnamento adottate nelle scuole pubbliche sono tradizionaliste, in cui lo studente assume una posizione passiva nel suo processo di apprendimento. Questo articolo valuta il contributo di una sequenza didattica sui circuiti elettrici di illuminazione residenziale, attivati da interruttori semplici, intermedi e paralleli nel Corso tecnico integrato negli edifici. Il lavoro proposto è stato concepito in modo da poter contribuire con l'insegnante nel processo di insegnamento, al fine di motivare nello studente la coscienza, la motivazione, la riflessione e il piacere per lo studio. A tale scopo, sono stati utilizzati ambienti di apprendimento virtuale combinati con l'uso di componenti animati, oltre a lezioni pratiche di laboratorio. I risultati hanno mostrato che l'uso di sequenze didattiche, se ben pianificato, rende il processo di insegnamento-apprendimento più dinamico, interattivo ed efficiente.Sequenza Didattica. The use of the Internet has been progressively integrated into our daily lives. This has also been true for all levels of education, where virtual learning environments have been the means by which teachers, students and educational institutions managed and distributed educational experiences. However, the present design of these systems make students have difficulties in deploying their meta-cognitive skills, in addition to producing a cognitive overload due to an inadequate content organization and navigation. Thus, it is necessary to provide learning platforms with a process that allows for the adaptation of these systems to students’ characteristics, needs and context in order to enhance the teaching-learning process. This paper describes an adaptive model for Learning Management Systems (LMSs) that using variables central to the learning process allows for the application of adaptive rules to the different types of contents and knowledge to be transferred and acquired. In practice, the resulting model allows to develop adaptive courses that support and promote learning and self-regulation in virtual learning environments

The situation of public schools in rural and urban areas is not much good, that’s why parents are giving preference to private schools for their children’s education. This study focused on the role of school management team in improving teaching practices. Apart from the reviewed literature, an empirical investigation based on a quantitative research was used to collect data from 100 private schools of district Central Karachi. The results of the study revealed that the role of school management for enhance quality teaching practice in private secondary schools of central district Karachi. From this perspective, work climate plays vital role in teacher performance. Furthermore, it is very necessary to value the teaching learning process by helping teachers regard teaching matters. Providing job related resources and facilities are the responsibility of school management. Positive relationship among teaching staff and management staff plays important role in teaching learning process.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the publications that focus on distance education in nursing in Brazil from 2010 to 2016. Method: Integrative review of the literature with data collection in June 2016 in the following databases: LILACS, MEDLINE via PUBMED, CINAHL and SCOPUS. For the data analysis and interpretation, the thematic categorization was chosen. Results: We selected 18 articles for discussion, whose textual analysis permitted the construction of three thematic categories: use of virtual technologies for distance education in nursing; construction of virtual learning environments with the aid of virtual technologies for distance education in nursing; and evaluation of the learning process through virtual technologies for distance education of nurses. Conclusion: Distance Education stands out as an effective teaching-learning strategy in this type of education in Brazilian nursing, focused mainly on the improvement and complement of traditional teaching.

Faculty's examination of virtual learning strategies to communicate with students is essential. Virtual learning is an innovative way to work with student s in higher education. The purpose of this effort is as follows: a) note strategies that can enhance the communication process with students and faculty during the virtual learning process; b) provide a review of contemporary research on virtual learning and activities; c) provide narratives from faculty in higher education that provide virtual learning environments and effective communication strategies to students. Authors from multiple disciplines provide their perceptions of virtual learning and some challenges or experiences in implementing activities to communicate with students in higher education. Their perception of using this type of learning with students is shared and common themes are discussed. In all efforts, there is a discussion of the benefits, purpose, and implications of this type of learning. Recommendations, strategies and future directions are presented.

One of the newest developing technologies is augmented reality (AR), which can be applied to many different existing technologies, such as computers, tablets, and smartphones. This chapter discusses the immersive learning process and the usage of AR into a simulated or in an artificial environment. Discussed is the background information on how the AR use in educational industries and the design process of AR immersive learning environment. The chapter also evaluates the benefits if immersive learning and AR.

A integração de ambientes virtuais e seus aplicativos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem possibilitam novas proposições aos alunos, bem como diversificam e apoiam as ações do professor. A presente pesquisa caracterizada como qualitativa analisou como 10 professores, de uma escola particular da cidade de Londrina (PR), consideram o uso do fórum de discussão para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem escolar presencial. Para a coleta de dados foram aplicadas quatro questões abertas. Os resultados indicaram que os fóruns, apesar de ainda serem pouco utilizados pelo grupo entrevistado, mostraram-se uma ferramenta muito útil para despertar no estudante o interesse por participar das atividades propostas pelo professor emitindo sua opinião e instigando o debate entre os colegas. Além disso, possibilita a articulação dos conteúdos presenciais da sala de aula com novos debates decorrentes das discussões, que transcendem para outros ambientes de aprendizagem. Palavras-chave: Ensino. Fórum. AbstractThe integration of virtual environments and their applications in the teaching and learning process offers new propositions to the students and it also diversifies and supports the teacher’s actions. The present qualitative research analyzed how ten teachers from a private school in the city of Londrina (PR), consider the use of the discussion forum for the process of onsite teaching and learning. For the data collection, four open-ended questions were applied. The results indicated that the forums, although still not frequently used by the interviewed group, proved to be a very useful tool to awaken the students’ interest in participating in the activities proposed by the teacher, expressing their opinions and instigating the debate among the classmates. In addition, it makes it possible to articulate classroom contents with new debates resulting from discussions that transcend to other learning environments. Keywords: Teaching. Learning. Forum.

This paper is my endeavour to shorten the gap between the realities in my own teaching practices and those practices presented in books and research reports as effective English teaching. In this paper, through narrative inquiry method of writing, I will refer to my experiences to show my way of knowing as well as my way of writing the specific contexts of my teaching of English. Here and then, I may show my subjectivity upon certain issues in the English teaching-learning process but I do this to enable myself go deeper to my personal values. Nonetheless, for the betterment of my classroom practices specifically and the teaching of English for Islamic studies in Indonesia, in general, my inquiry on my own professional practices and the insights on how I should see and make some changes in my teaching as specified by the AAA perspective discussed in details will become a very good start.

The aim of this research was to know the increase of students’ vocabulary mastery by using board race game for fifth grade students of Uttayan Suksa Krabi School, Thailand in the academic year 2018/2019. The method used in this research was collaborative classroom action research. The researchers conducted this research from December 2018 until March 2019 in Uttayan Suksa Krabi School, Thailand. In collecting the data, the researchers used observation, test, and documentation. The tests were given in pre-test, post-test 1 and post- test 2. The researchers analyzed the average score of each test to find out the increase of students’ vocabulary mastery after the action was conducted. After the researchers have conducted the action, the students’ vocabulary mastery has increased optimally. It could be seen from the score of pre-test that showed 55.3, post-test 1 was 68.6, and post-test 2 was 85.6. After applying the action, the researchers were able to solve the problem in increasing students’ vocabulary mastery. The students were able to pronounce, memorize and understand the words based on the context. By using Board Race game in teaching vocabulary, the students could easily understand and memorize the spelling of the new vocabulary. In the teaching process, when the researcher as teacher used game, the students were enthusiastic and enjoyed during teaching learning process. It can be concluded that board race game can increase students’ vocabulary mastery. It is suggested to use board race game as the alternative media in teaching learning English.

<p class="Pendahuluan">One of the strategies in improving satifaction of clients is getting direct input from customers (which in this case, students of Management Departement, UBM) through questionnaires on the process of studying by e-learning. The type of this research is descriptive research which makes use of a descriptive survey. The results of this research show that the majority of customers are not satified on some aspects of studying by e-learning. The biggest gap there is in indicator 7, namely the lecturers are lazy in using e-learning for the teaching-learning process. By using Cartesius diagram, it is found that the indicators in quadrant A are 6,7 and 11, for quadrant B: 1, 4, 5, 9, 10 and 12, while for quadrant C: 2, 3, and 8.
