Saudi Arabia’s banking sector plays an important role in the country’s development as it is among the leading sectors in the financial sector. Considering, two main Saudi banks (The National Commercial Bank and Saudi American bank), the present study aims to observe the impact of emotional intelligence on employee performance. The components of emotional intelligence affecting employee performance include self-management, relationship management, self-awareness, and social awareness. A quantitative methodology was applied to analyse the survey results of 300 respondents over the period from 2018 to 2019. The results show that there was a significant positive impact of self-management, self-awareness, and relationship management on employee performance. However, in the Saudi banking sector, there was no impact on social awareness on employee performance.

The Effect of Emotional Intelligence Against Student Achievement aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence which consists of self awareness, self management, Motivation, social awareness, relationship management partially and simultaneously on learning achievement. Respondents are students of SMP Negeri 4 Lalan Bumi Agung  Vilage Musi Banyuasin Regency to be 135 people. Methods of data analysis using regression analysis techniques. Partial assay results (t-test) showed emotional intelligence consists of Self awareness, self management, Motivation, social awareness, relationship management positive and significant effect on learning achievement. Simultaneous Test Results (Test-F) emotional intelligence consists of Self awareness, self management, motivation, social awareness, relationship management and significant positive effect on learning achievement. Social awareness is more dominant influence on learning achievement.

This study aims to identify the elements of emotional intelligence and measure their impact on employee performance in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. The qualitative method was conducted through a survey on ten human resources experts with at least five years of experience to test the suitability of the scale and the clarity of words and content. The quantitative method is to evaluate the scale and re-test hypotheses with a sample of 217 employees. The results show that emotional intelligence exerts a positive impact on the employee performance. Specifically, the standardized betas of self-management, self-awareness, social management and social awareness skills are 0.395, 0,318, 0,178, and 0,184, respectively. The self-awareness of employees in HCMC is not as high as the other three factors, suggesting that training and coaching activities to improve employee’s emotional intelligence are necessary to enhance their performance.

This study compared intercollegiate athletic coaches’ self-perceptions to the perceptions of their players concerning a coach’s emotional intelligence. Sixteen coaches and 223 players from two Division I softball conferences completed the Emotional Competence Inventory-2 (Boyaztis, Goleman, & Hay/McBer, 2001). Mean analysis revealed that coaches rated themselves higher on 14 of the 18 emotional intelligence competencies and on all four emotional intelligence clusters. Coaches rated themselves highest in Social Awareness (Error! Bookmark not defined.x̅ = 4.27/5) while their athletes rated them highest in Self-Awareness (Error! Bookmark not defined.x̅ = 3.63/5). Meanwhile, athletes gave coaches their lowest rating in Relationship Management (Error! Bookmark not defined.x̅ = 3.44/5). Coaches need to be aware that the self-perceptions of their own behavior differ from the perceptions of their athletes. Since it is well known that the behavior of the coach affects the performance of the athlete, techniques to train coaches to recognize and overcome this difference could be beneficial and are provided.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop and present a research model on various emotional intelligence (EI) constructs which have been found to influence job performance in the prior literature. Design/methodology/approach In addition to leadership and EI, the constructs are clustered under different categories: self-awareness includes self-confidence, emotional self-awareness and accurate self-assessment; self-management includes self-control, adaptability, conscientiousness, trustworthiness and optimism; social awareness includes empathy, organizational awareness and service orientation; and social skills groups’ communication, change catalyst, developing others and self-monitoring. Findings The paper proposes 17 hypotheses concerning significant relationships between these constructs and job performance. Originality/value The paper proposes a new approach toward studying the impact of various constructs of EI on job performance in Saudi banking sector.

The purpose of the study is to find out the emotional intelligence which consists of social awareness, self management, social awareness, and relationship management toward the contextual performance.This research used quantitative method with double regression analyzes.  The respondent was 45 teachers. From the research is gotten that the emotional intelligence and teachers contextual performance is good enough and very good and the variable of emotional intelligence influences significantly toward the teacher’s contextual performance. It means, the dependent variable namely emotional intelligence ( social awareness, self management, empathy, and  relationship management) can explain the independent variable ( contextual performance) is bigger than another variable out of this research. So, it can be concluded that emotional intelligence influences the teacher’s contextual performance.     Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kecerdasan emosional yang terdiri dari kesadaran sosial, manajemen diri, kesadaran sosial, dan manajemen hubungan terhadap kinerja kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi berganda. Respondennya adalah 45 guru. Dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi dan kinerja kontekstual guru cukup baik dan sangat baik serta variabel kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja kontekstual guru. Artinya, variabel dependen yaitu kecerdasan emosional (social awareness, self management, empathy, dan relationship management) dapat menjelaskan variabel independen (kinerja kontekstual) lebih besar dari variabel lain dari penelitian ini. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi mempengaruhi kinerja kontekstual guru.

<p>The aim of this study was to analyze students' social and emotional competencies through the integration of Think Pair Share (TPS) and a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) approach to topics related to Ac­ids and Bases. Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults under­stand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.. The study involved  thirty-five 11th grade students in one of private school in Jakarta  and was conducted between January and April, 2017. A qualitative methodology was employed to analyze students’ social and emotional competencies using inter­views, classroom observations, reflective journals, and student worksheets. The application of a SEL ap­proach was carried out by integrating it with a TPS strategy.  In the <em>Think</em> stage students were given the opportunity to explore their understanding of acids and bases and to solve problems individually. In the<em> Pair</em> stage they could communicate their insights to the group, and in the <em>Share</em> stage they had occasion to present their group perspectives and respond to others.  The five social and emotional competences found in this study were; self awareness, self management, social awareness, relationship management, and re­sponsible decision making. Self awareness was demonstrated by understanding a student’s abilities, their needs, and their self- confidence. Self management was indicated by a student’s ability to manage pressure, plan strategies, and seek help. Social awareness competencies were analyzed through the development of students' attitudes to diversity and how they demonstrated care for friends. Relationship management com­petencies were identified by observing a student’s ability to manage friendships, how they overcame differ­ences, and whether they provided assistance to each other. The responsible decision making competency was determined by observing how students made decisions when trying to solve a problem and whether they were able to plan a strategy when facing pressure. Whilst integrating SEL the researchers were chal­lenged by the need to empower students, encourage teachers to stimulate students’ social and emotional competencies, and to manage time constraints. Integrating SEL into chemistry learning provided opportuni­ties for students to develop their social and emotional competencies through independent thinking activities, group discussions, and presentations to their peers.</p>

Objective - This study investigates the impact of the educational portal on employee performance in the Ministry of Education (MOE) in the Sultanate of Oman. It examines employee perceptions of the benefits of the educational portal used by the MOE. The educational portal provided by the MOE is the main gateway for various types of educational related online services to users. This research focuses on the factors of educational portal services, which facilitates work, and improve employee performance. Methodology/Technique - The research adopts a quantitative methodology and collects data by means of questionnaires. Findings - The findings suggest that the educational portal technology has a positive impact on employee performance. The results also reveal that the employee performance has increased since the introduction of educational portal services compared with employee performance based on the previous manual system. Novelty - This calls for a systematic and periodic review of the educational portal services, to update the technology and accommodate for new requirements. This paper examines the impact of teleworking on employees’ labour productivity and the entity`s management in the condition of global pandemic Covid-19 in Uzbekistan. The epidemiological and dynamic nature of the Covid-19 crisis in which organizations have to adopt a work-from-home policy made this investigation very necessary. When the issue is explained more broadly, this empirical research investigates two significant aspects about teleworking process in organizations in the period of lockdown in Uzbekistan. First, teleworking positively affects employee’ labour productivity and the effectiveness of the entity, and the second teleworking complicates the management activities and affects negatively the socio-emotional environment in the work team. The objectives of the study are to identify whether the process of telework affects positively or negatively the organization’s current labour processes and propose multiple recommendations regarding to improve the telework mechanism for enabling prospective labour concerns in the human resources field of Uzbekistan. To achieve the objectives, a survey research design was adopted. The techniques employed in analyzing the data were quantitative methodology, descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results indicated that working from the home policy has a strong and positive relationship with employee’ labour productivity and the effectiveness of the entity if it is measured as a result-oriented rather than activity. It was also found that teleworking has a significant relationship with complicatedness of the management and it brings to the negative socio-emotional environment in the work team. Based on the findings, the researcher concluded that unexpected telecommuting in the period of Covid-19 has both negative and positive impact on employee performance and the entity`s management control.

This study concentrated on job employee performance by using emotional intelligence, job involvement, leaders‘ trust, and job satisfaction. The researchers examined the job involvement and emotional inelegance factors on IT projects team member’s performance in China with the effect of moderator factor trust of leader and mediator impact job satisfaction.  After reviewing many works of literature, the student explained and discussed the development of the hypothesis of emotional intelligence, Job involvement, the trust of a leader, and Job satisfaction with members‘ performance. This study has been conducted in Chinese projects, so the data was collected from IT projects members and workers who have been or still doing these kinds of projects using several ways to reach around 200 respondents as the online survey and social media. Using a different method and tests we could find that these relationships in the study were significant with positive impact except the moderation impact of trust leader. This study contributed to benefited IT, project leaders, and members, for better understanding especially for the importance of the emotional intelligence and job involvement for better performance of the team members which will also contribute to improving the IT project in China and will open new and different topics for researchers.

Purpose: The objectives of this research are to verify the development and effectiveness of a nursing student emotional competency promotion program that is important in professional nursing strategies for strengthening the psychological well-being of patients.Methods: This research was done by developing an emotional competency promotion program for nursing students according to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE) model. Apply the program to students and evaluate their effects on their self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and self-efficacy using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were 48 nursing students enrolled in the department of nursing of D College; 24 students were placed in the experimental group and 24 students were in the control group. The experimental group participated in the developed program from December 18, 2017 to January 12, 2018, for a total of 8 sessions. Each session was 120 minutes long. For data collection, a pretest, posttest 1 and 2 were performed using an independent t-test and repeated measure ANOVA using SPSS/WIN 22.0.Results: The experimental group who participated in the emotional competency promotion program showed higher self awareness (F=5.65, p=.005), self management (F=11.12, p<.001), social awareness (F=5.02, p=.009), relationship management (F=11.22, p<.001) and self-efficacy (F=14.24, p<.001) than the control group. These results were supported by a statistically meaningful difference in the time period and the interaction between the time period and the two groups.Conclusion: The study’s findings indicate that the emotional competency promotion program developed through this study is effective at increasing the self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and self-efficacy of nursing students.
