Purpose. Conducting research aimed at choosing the rational modes of flashing the tubular billet by stabilizing the dynamic characteristics of the drive power line of heavy-duty piercing mills TPA. Methodology. The dynamics of the power line of the piercing mill of the pipe-rolling unit (TPA) are considered, taking into account the peculiarities of the behavior of the spindle hinges and the mechanism for setting the work rolls. Findings. The differential equation of motion of the line of the main drive of the piercing mill is composed and its numerical solution is given. An adapted three-mass dynamic model of the system is considered and a solution is obtained using the software Solid Works IT Simulation X. The basic conditions for the occurrence of unstable dynamic phenomena in the fieldline and the installation mechanism of the piercing mill rolls are formulated. It is shown that the unstable dynamics of the system are one of the main reasons for the discrepancy between the results of well-known theoretical, experimental studies and pipe thickness measurement at TPA 350 piercing mills. Originality. The main causes of the emergence of parametric oscillations in the drive of the working stand of the piercing mill, the installation mechanism of the work rolls in connection with the mechanism of formation of the thin-wall thickness of pipes are established. The areas of stability of the system’s functioning are determined depending on the operating modes and the angle of feed of the work rolls, taking into account the spatial position of the elements of the spindle device. The necessary and sufficient stability conditions for the joint stable functioning of the power line elements of the piercing mill are formed. Practical value. To stabilize the processes for flashing the tubular billet, a scheme has been proposed for upgrading the spindles of the main drive and the mechanism for installing the work rolls of the piercing mill No. 1 of TPA 350. The results are applicable to similar helical rolling mills. Over the decades, more attention has been paid to emissions from the means of transport and the use of different fuels and combustion fuels for the operation of internal combustion engines than on fuel consumption. This, in turn, enables research into products that are said to reduce fuel consumption. The report summarizes four studies of fuel-related innovation products. The studies covered by this report are conducted with diesel fuel and usually contain diesel fuel and three additives for it. Manufacturers of additives are based on already existing studies showing a 10-30% reduction in fuel consumption. Comparative experimental studies related to the use of commercially available diesel fuel with and without the use of additives have been performed in laboratory conditions. The studies were carried out on a stationary diesel engine СМД-17КН equipped with brake КИ1368В. Repeated results were recorded, but they did not confirm the significant positive effect of additives on specific fuel consumption. In some cases, the factors affecting errors in this type of research on the effectiveness of fuel additives for commercial purposes are considered. The reasons for the positive effects of such use of additives in certain engine operating modes are also clarified.

Developed by eccentric tillage rink, which ensures the desired quality of the soil and increase the yield of crops. As a result of theoretical studies, an expression for determining the dynamic force that increases the intensity of crumbling soil lumps, depending on the regime parameters of the rink. In addition, the relationship between the power required when driving the rink, its parameters. The factors influencing the process of tillage by the developed roller are determined. As a criterion of optimization, the adopted coefficient of compliance with for the density soil of benchmark, which characterizes the quality of soil rolling from the position of compliance of soil density with agrotechnical requirements. As a result of experimental studies, the parameters and operating modes of the roller are optimized, at which the required quality of soil treatment is achieved.

Experimental studies of muscle contraction often involve difficult problems in the design of cantilever beams for movable levers, transducers, or mechanical supports. Equations are presented for the calculation of mass, inertia, stress distribution, strain, deflection curve, compliance, and resonant frequency of uniform or nonuniform cantilever beams made of structural materials of different density or elastic modulus. Formulas are listed for solid, thick-wall, and thin-wall uniform beams of rectangular and circular cross section. Physical properties including density, elastic and torsional moduli, stress and strain limits, thermal expansion coefficients, Poisson's ratio, and certain elastic-modulus-to-density ratios are tabulated for structural materials including common metals, glass, plastic, and wood. A graphical design procedure is presented based on a chart containing loci of constant beam parameter values as a function of beam length and height or diameter, for the simple geometries. The choice of structural material is discussed for design problems with typical constraints, and examples are given of the design of beams of nonuniform cross section. Methods for extending the design chart to other geometries and materials are included.

This paper presents a study on innovative use of ultrajet technologies and expanding their areas of applications. Factors influencing the process of ultrajet dispersing are determined, based on which special tooling is developed and operating modes and parameters are selected. The results of experimental studies on dispersing silver and copper targets are presented. The composition of the obtained suspensions and features of the particles formed in the process of hydroerosion of the material surface (targets) are examined. It is determined that the proposed technology possesses broad capabilities and advantages compared to traditional methods of obtaining suspensions.

Despite the rapid development of alternative energy sources, the role of hydrocarbons in the global fuel and energy balance remains significant. For their transportation and further processing, pre-processing is carried out using a set of equipment. In this case, the mandatory devices are separators. In terms of specific energy consumption and separation efficiency, methods based on the action of inertia forces are optimal. However, standard designs have common disadvantages. A method of dynamic separation is proposed to eliminate them. The proposed devices are automatic control systems. The object of regulation is hydraulic resistance, and elastic forces are the regulating actions. Aerohydroelastic phenomena accompany the operation of dynamic separation devices. Among them, the most interesting are flutter and buffeting. Oscillations of adjustable baffles accompany them. It is necessary to conduct a number of multifactorial experiments to determine the operating parameters of dynamic separation devices. In turn, physical experiments aim to identify patterns and features of processes occurring during vibration-inertial separation (i.e., the dependence of various parameters on velocity). Therefore, the article proposes a methodology for carrying our physical experiments on dynamic separation and a designed experimental setup for these studies. As a result, the operating modes of separation devices for different thicknesses of baffle elements were evaluated. Additionally, the dependences of the adjustable element’s deflections and oscillation amplitudes on the gas flow velocity were determined for different operating modes of vibration separation devices.

Abstract. The article discusses the issues of assessing the effectiveness of tactical and technical solutions for prevention of prohibited items delivery to the territory of institutions of the penal system of the Russian Federation using unmanned aerial vehicles. The cost of completing the task was taken as the indicator of efficiency. The task was formulated as guaranteed prevention of flights of unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of pre-trial detention centers, prisons, colonies and other facilities. In the course of theoretical and experimental studies, conceptual approaches to solving the highlighted problem were substantiated, rational characteristics and operating modes of complexes for countering flights of unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of institutions of the penal system of the Russian Federation were defined. Introduction. When cultivating agricultural crops, it is necessary to take into account the plants’ need for moisture, nutrients, location by area of nutrition, determining illumination, etc. Taking into account the biological characteristics of crops, various methods of sowing are used to create favorable conditions for plant growth and development. An important condition for sowing is the uniform arrangement of seeds along the sulcus, especially in the cultivation of testes of small-seeded cultures. A key role in the uniformity of seeding is provided by the design parameters and kinematic operating conditions of the sowing device. Materials and Methods. To determine the optimal parameters and operating modes of the disk sowing device, methods of factor experiment and multi-criteria optimization were used. Results. Mathematical models of the technological process of sowing seeds were obtained based of experimental studies. Conclusions. To ensure the improvement of the seeding quality of small seeds, the design parameters of the experimental seeder: х4 – is the diameter of the cell; х5 – the number of cells on the disk, will tend to the maximum values. The optimum circumferential speed of the sowing disk should be in the range from 0.127 to 0.192 m/s, and the speed of the machine’s movement is no more than 2 m/s.

The results of scientific research and practical experience of flax-growing farms have shown that the process of dew preparation of trusts occurs unevenly along the thickness of the stem layer. With prolonged bad weather, flax stalks sprout with grass and are nailed to the soil by rains. In this state, the lower stems in the layer rot and the quality of fibrous products is markedly reduced. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically wrap or fluff the tapes of the stems. Currently, on the country's farms, flax growers prefer fluffing flax-straw belts due to the high productivity and reliable operation of machines in the field. However, existing fluffers confuse the stems and increase their elongation. The authors note that the resulting large disorientation and excessive elongation of the stems in the layer are the main reasons for the low yield of long fiber in the flax mill. Taking into account the indicated problem, the scientists of Kostroma State Agricultural Academy proposed a fundamental-ly new process of fluffing rotted straw and developed a machine for its implementation. The ma-chine ensures the maximum preservation of the initial values of the structural parameters of the stem layer. The article describes the device and the principle of operation of the new two-line fluffer for flax-straw belts, describes the methodology for substantiating its operating modes and the re sults of experimental studies. At the same time, it was found that when the prototype of the fluffer is operating on flax-growing belts sprouted by grass and nailed by rain, it is necessary to set the pick-up drum in such a position in which its fingers will penetrate into the soil to a depth of at least 1.0 ... 2.0 cm. The possibility of increasing the forward speed of the unit movement to 3.1 m / s and more without a noticeable decrease in the quality of its operation was also revealed.

Abstract The experimental studies result on the power quality and additional power losses analysis caused by the asymmetric modes occurrence in three-phase four-wire 0.38 kV electrical networks are considered. The operating modes 38 kV networks several types simulation – with power take-off nodes distributed along the power line, and an electric network with a concentrated load is carried out. The programs have been developed that allow to assess the change in indicators characterizing asymmetric modes, as well as programs that allow us to visualize this process change. The most installing special symmetrical devices appropriate places in electric networks with a distributed load (rural electric distribution networks) and concentrated power take-off nodes electric networks (urban electric networks) have been identified to minimize losses and improve the power quality. A numerical studied indicators analysis was performed.
