The richness of the term “library” is revealed: from the common meaning (a depositary, collection of books and other publications) to that of the library science object (an institution, social institution). The attempt is made to identify whether corporate book collections make a document array, internal book collection, or a library. The case study of the “Laboratory of urban planning” Company (St. Petersburg) is offered. The main stages of the Company’s library development and vectors of work are discussed. Other corporate libraries’ experience is examined. The common features of the corporate and special, e.g. sci-tech, libraries, that satisfy information needs and demands in professional sphere, are revealed.The author also attempts to apply Yury Stoyarov’s four-component library model to the corporate library phenomenon. She speculates on whether the library core features are applicable to a corporate library – namely, collection purpose, document array orderliness, librarian supply. The differences between the traditional concept of a library and a library as a live selforganizing system are revealed. The need to include corporate libraries into the library science subject scope and therefore to expand social influence of librarians is emphasized.

Using materials from PwC’s data analytics case study with a fictitious company, Pixystems Toy Company, Inc. (PwC, 2017), henceforth Pixystems Toys, the authors developed a comprehensive, multi-part data analytics project applicable in a variety of accounting courses.  The project follows the common data analytics framework (ask the right questions, extract, transform and load (ETL) the data, perform appropriate analyses and present the results).  Students apply this framework to the sales and purchases cycles.  For each students develop relevant questions, build a data model and perform other ETL procedures, perform analytics and prepare a presentation to convey insights and recommendations.  For the sales cycle, Microsoft Excel is the analytics tool; for the purchases cycle, Tableau is used. This project provides an opportunity for students to gain experience with two analytics tools, understand the process of building a data model, and wrestle with how to convey the results of their analysis.

PurposeThis paper aims to describe the development and testing of an employer’s information requirements (EIR) template and guidance document designed to meet client and facility management (FM) needs in the building information modelling (BIM) process.Design/methodology/approachA qualitative design approach was used and triangulation of methods which included a focus group with the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), semi-structured interviews with the case study Glasgow Life Burrell Renaissance Project who trialled the EIR and peer-reviews and interviews with BIM/CAFM experts from the BIM Academy and FM180.FindingsSpecific guidance to help clients and facility managers prepare key BIM documents like the EIR are needed. They are aware of industry BIM standards and guidance but often not in detail. The Glasgow Life case study illustrated the EIR as a useful collaboration-tool to bring together stakeholders in early planning stages to understand client information needs.Social implicationsAssets and buildings account for most of the energy and material use in society. A well-structured EIR will help ensure the right information is available to enable optimisation of running costs and utility-use over their whole life, thus contributing to long-term sustainability.Originality/valueThis paper provides a new EIR template and guidance document ideal for practitioners in industry as a practical starting point to plan the client information requirements for BIM projects. This study aims to find out Librarian in Perspective of Information Manager (Case Study on Library Science Undergraduate Student of Adab and Humanities Faculty of UIN Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh). This research uses quality descriptive approach, an approach that emphasizes more on the deductive and inductive deduc- tion process and on the analysis of the dynamics of relationship between observed phenomena, using scientific logic. The students of Library Science were observed to be 54 people for three months. For this research the author will explain in detail about UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh Main Library in the perspective of information managers for llibrary users especially Library Science students class of 2016 intake. The research results are; Librarians are not yet fully able to become information managers at UIN Ar-Raniry Main Library of Banda Aceh, due the small number of librarians for this size of a college library. Lack of librarian contribution to be- come information manager, in order to be able to fulfill requirement of information for their users, in this case undergraduate student of Library Science. Regarding the perspective that a library must be able to provide all forms of information required has not been done well, especially the information needs fot this such of users in this case Library Science students.

The common structured procurement process of the Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Business Case Development (BCD) is thought to establish ties with the right vendors and to strengthen relationships among other stakeholders. This single-case study gathered information through archival documents, observations, and in-depth interviews and examined whether RFI-RFP-BCP processes fostered favourable relationships with vendors. The study revealed certain disadvantages of the process.

No one wants to be treated like an object, regarded as an item of property, or put up for sale. Yet many people frame personal autonomy in terms of self-ownership, representing themselves as property owners with the right to do as they wish with their bodies. Others do not use the language of property, but are similarly insistent on the rights of free individuals to decide for themselves whether to engage in commercial transactions for sex, reproduction, or organ sales. Drawing on analyses of rape, surrogacy, and markets in human organs, this book challenges notions of freedom based on ownership of our bodies and argues against the normalization of markets in bodily services and parts. The book explores the risks associated with metaphors of property and the reasons why the commodification of the body remains problematic. The book asks what is wrong with thinking of oneself as the owner of one's body? What is wrong with making our bodies available for rent or sale? What, if anything, is the difference between markets in sex, reproduction, or human body parts, and the other markets we commonly applaud? The book contends that body markets occupy the outer edges of a continuum that is, in some way, a feature of all labor markets. But it also emphasizes that we all have bodies, and considers the implications of this otherwise banal fact for equality. Bodies remind us of shared vulnerability, alerting us to the common experience of living as embodied beings in the same world. Examining the complex issue of body exceptionalism, the book demonstrates that treating the body as property makes human equality harder to comprehend.

Ameloblastic fibroma is an uncommon mixed neoplasm of odontogenic origin with a relative frequency between 1.5 – 4.5%. It can occur either in the mandible or maxilla, but predominantly seen in the posterior region of the mandible. It occurs in the first two decades of life. Most of the times it is associated with tooth enclosure, causing a delay in eruption or altering the dental eruption sequence. The common clinical manifestation is a slow growing painless swelling and is detected during routine radiographic examination. There is controversy in the mode of treatment, whether conservative or aggressive. Here we reported a 38 year old male patient referred for evaluation of painless swelling on the right posterior region of the mandible associated with clinically missing 3rd molar. The lesion was completely enucleated under general anesthesia along with the extraction of impacted molar.

Abstract Schottky diodes are semiconductor switching devices with low forward voltage drops and very fast switching speeds. This paper provides an overview of the common failure modes in Schottky diodes and corresponding failure mechanisms associated with each failure mode. Results of material level evaluation on diodes and packages as well as manufacturing and assembly processes are analyzed to identify a set of possible failure sites with associated failure modes, mechanisms, and causes. A case study is then presented to illustrate the application of a systematic FMMEA methodology to the analysis of a specific failure in a Schottky diode package.

This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the existence of the local social organization in conducting community empowerment. The experiment was conducted at Community Empowerment Institution (In Indonesia it is referred to as Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat/LPM). LPM Cibeunying as one of the local social institution in Bandung regency. Aspects reviewed in the study include the style of leadership, processes, and stages of community empowerment, as well as the LPM network. The research method used is a case study with the descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted against five informants consisting of the Chairman and LPM’s Board members, village officials, and community leaders. The results show that the dominant leadership style is participative, in addition to that, a supportive leadership style and directive leadership style are also used in certain situations. The empowerment process carried out per the stages of the empowerment process is identifying and assessing the potential of the region, problems, and opportunities-chances; arranging a participative activity plan; implementing the activity plan; and monitoring and evaluating the process and results of activities. The social networking of LPM leads to a social network of power in which LPM can influence the behavior of communities and community institutions in utilizing and managing community empowerment programs. From the research, it can be concluded that the model of community empowerment implemented by LPM Cibeunying Village is enabling, empowering, and protecting.

Some problems of making of the regional encyclopedias by library science were analyzed in connection with the development of a library policy in Ukrainian regions; the current state of development the encyclopedia publishing and making of the library encyclopedias in Ukraine is highlighted.
