This paper deals with The Development of Contextual Text Based Exposition Writing Teaching Materials of Class X Students in State 16 Senior High School, Medan. The method used in the development of teaching material research is the Borg and Gall models which used to develop a product. The product of the learning module that was developed was a contextual text-based exposition writing material for class X students in state 16 Senior High School, Medan. This research and development refers to the theory of teaching material development proposed by Borg and Gall. The finding shows that Teaching Materials Development of Exposition Text Writing Based on Contextual is the development of teaching materials is needed by students and teachers in the learning process. This is due to improving the quality of learning to be better and more interesting. The use of contextual text-based teaching writing materials is considered more effective than the textbooks used by students. This is evidenced by better student learning outcome that is the use of textbooks (Pretest) 70.68% with sufficient categories while the use of teaching materials for exposition text writing is based on contextual (Posttest) 81.40% with good categories. The effectiveness of teaching material based on the results of the pretest to posttest exposition text writing increased with a difference of 10.72%. Based on this, the product developed has been good and tested in improving students' ability in writing exposition texts in class X students in state 16 Senior High School, Medan.

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi penyusunan materi pengajaran fonetik pada bahan ajar bahasa Mandarin tingkat sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini melibatkan 8 paket bahan ajar bahasa Mandarin di sekolah menengah atas. Dari penelitian 8 paket bahan ajar tersebut ternyata penyusunan pengajaran fonetik pada sebagian besar bahan ajar tersebut masih menggunakan format umum, serta tidak mempertimbangkan kesulitan pelajar yang bahasa ibunya adalah bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu, pada sebagian besar bahan ajar, alokasi jumlah unit pelajaran tentang fonetik cenderung masih sedikit dan terkesan disederhanakan. Berdasarkan hal ini, dengan bersumber kepada beberapa penelitian fonetik yang telah dilakukan oleh beberapa pemerhati pendidikan bahasa Mandarin baik di Indonesia dan Tiongkok, peneliti menyarankan format penyusunan pengajaran fonetik pada bahan ajar bahasa Mandarin tingkat sekolah menengah atas yang lebih baik. Hal ini dilakukan agar peserta didik khususnya pelajar pemula bahasa Mandarin di sekolah  menengah atas dapat lebih mudah mempelajarinya.    Kata-kata kunci :          Bahasa Mandarin, bahan ajar, fonetik, sekolah menengah atas AbstractThe main objective of this study is to evaluate the arrangement of phonetic teaching in Mandarin teaching material at senior high school level. The study involved eight packages of Mandarin teaching materials in senior high school. Based on the study of this 8 packages teaching materials, apparently the arrangement of phonetic teaching in most of the materials still utilizes a common format, and does not take into consideration the difficulties of students whose native language is Indonesian. In addition, the majority of the teaching materials allocates only a few units of phonetic lessons, and is oversimplified. As regards, I suggested a better format on the arrangement of phonetic teaching in Mandarin teaching material at senior high school level, referring to some phonetic research that has been done by some Mandarin education observers, both in Indonesia and China. This study aims to  determine the  competency-based  teaching materials development program to improve student life skills, implementation, problems and challenges, and future improvement steps. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at the Ma'arif Nahdotul Ulama Vocational High School, Garut Regency, West Java Province. The data collection techniques were interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used were qualitative data analysis techniques using an inductive approach. The research results are: First, the teaching material development program carried out is planning  development  quality  objectives,  establishing  a  School  Activity Plan, collaborating with the business world and the industrial world. Second, the  implementation  is  that  the  partnership  relationship  is  not  optimal. Implementing the guidelines for the development of teaching materials is not optimal. Good management is needed in implementing the results of the development of teaching materials, and an additional budget is required. Third, the problems faced are poor management of school principals, inadequate curriculum development and cooperation,  preliminary school budgets, a productive syllabus that needs to be developed, and industrial practices for production are not optimal. Simultaneously, the future challenges are the student resources managing the partnership, the students' character, and  the demands for  practical facilities that require special attention.  Fourth, the  corrective  steps  are that the regulation of material development needs particular attention, additional budget is needed, the apprenticeship material must adjust to the productive syllabus, quality learning, improved competency tests, the competence of educators needs to be improved, optimizing the acceptance of new students, completing facilities and infrastructure.

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of class XI students in Tugumulyo State Senior High School 2018/2019 Academic Year after using the physics-based teaching material of elasticity and hooke’s law and to find out the students response to learning using the higher order thinking skills approach to elasticity and hooke’s law material of class XI students at Public High School Tugumulyo 2018/2019 Academic Year. The population of this study were all students of class XI and the subject of this study consisted of 34 students of class XI IPA 5 of State Senior High School Tugumulyo. Data collection is done by questionnaires, tests, and observations. The overall percentage of teaching material components was 79,24% (very good). The percentage of student responses to higher order thinking skills -based teaching materials is 76,53% (very good). In addition, from the results of daily test tests, the effectiveness percentage of 88.89% (very good) of students who scored above 70 out of 10 test items. The value of t count> t table with the value of t count = 2,13and t table = 1,697. So that the use of higher order thinking skills -based teaching materials can be said to be valid, practical and effective.

The purpose of this teaching material development is to produce a teaching material that is a valid, practical, and effective oriented description of Guided Writing. This type of development study with model 4-D models consisting of definition define, design, development, and dissemination (disseminate). Research Data from validity tests is obtained through RPP validation sheets and teaching materials. Practicality Data is collected through an observation sheet of RPP implementation and a response to the teacher and student responses. The effectiveness of students ' learning activities and processes in the form of character assessment and student writing skills. Collected Data is analyzed descriptively. Results of the study of the validity of the instrument teaching materials obtained 98.04 categorized very valid. The results of observations, polls, and interviews with teachers also stated that this teaching material is practical. The results of the effectiveness of teaching materials based on trials and the dissemination of skills assessment of the students ' descriptions for the assessment of the process skills have also been in excellent categories, and the results of the results from the 95.19 trial acquisition in the dissemination process obtained the 95.75 value. The acquisition shows that the teaching materials of a guided strategy-oriented description of the class IV SD that has been produced can be declared valid, practical, and effective.

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of class XI students in Lubuklinggau 6 Model State Senior High School 2018/2019 Academic Year after using contextual-based Physics teaching material for Static Fluid students and to find out the students' response to learning using contextual learning material Static Fluid class XI students in high school Negeri 6 Lubuklinggau Model 2018/2019 Academic Year. The sample of this study consisted of 23 students of class XI IPA 4 of State Senior High School 6 Model Lubuklinggau. Data collection is done by interview techniques, questionnaires, tests, and observations. The overall percentage of teaching material components is 81.82% (very good). The percentage of student responses to contextual-based teaching materials is 79.78% (very good). In addition, from the results of daily test results, the effectiveness percentage of 86.95% (very good) of students who received scores above 70 out of 10 test items. Data analysis technique used was t-test Calculated value> t table with the value of t count = 3.69 and t table = 1.717. The results of the average percentage of students in the affective realm of 89.40% (very good) and the results of the average percentage of students in the psychomotor realm of 91.30% (very good). The percentage of student responses to learning using contextual learning is 91.07% (very good). So that the use of contextual based teaching materials can be said to be valid, practical and effective.

This study discusses moral values in Habiburrahman El Shirazy’s novel: Bidadari Bermata Bening. The aim of this research is to describe the principle of good attitude, the principle of justice, the principle of respecting oneself in the Bidadari Bermata Bening using a pragmatic approach, and its relation to literary teaching materials. Data collection methods used are observation, reading techniques, and literature review. The results of this study are as follows. (1) Moral values based on the principle of good attitude in the novel are the values of being responsible, happy to help, and loyal in everyday life. (2) Moral value based on the principle of fairness in this novel is awareness to give the rights of others. (3) Moral valuess based on the principle of respecting oneself are the value of protecting themselves and maintaining their honor. (4) This novel has fulfilled the criteria of teaching material so that it can be used by teachers as an alternative in literary teaching materials in class XII senior high school. Keywords: moral values, novel, teaching material

Abstract This research aims to produce science teaching materials in junior level with Energy in The Body as the theme using Four Steps Teaching Material Development  (4STMD). The material is presented in an integrated way so that students can  think holistically and contextually. The method used in this study is Research and Development. In this R&D methods is used 4STMD. There are four steps done on the development of teaching materials, the selection step, structuring step, characterization, and didactic reduction. Selection step includes the selection of indicators in accordance with the demands of the curriculum which is then developed with the selection of concepts and values that are integrated with the concept of science. Structuring step includes make macro structures, concept maps, and multiple representations. Characterization's step includes preparation instruments, then  trial to students to identify difficult concepts. The last, didactic reduction was done by neglect and the annotations in the form of sketches.The test results readability aspect instructional materials lead to the conclusion that by determining the main idea, the legibility of teaching materials reached 67%, with moderate readability criteria. Test results of feasibility aspects based on the results of questionnaires to the 11 teachers lead to the conclusion that the overall, level of eligibility teaching materials reached 91% with the eligibility criteria well. Keywords: teaching materials; energy; 4STMD Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar IPA SMP pada tema Energi dalam Tubuh menggunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). Materi disajikan secara terpadu sehingga memacu siswa untuk berpikir secara holistik dan kontekstual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Dalam penelitian dan pengembangan yang ini, digunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). Terdapat empat tahap yang dilakukan pada pengembangan bahan ajar, yakni tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi, dan reduksi didaktik. Tahap seleksi meliputi pemilihan indikator yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum yang kemudian dikembangkan dengan pemilihan konsep dan nilai yang diintegrasikan dengan konsep IPA. Tahap strukturisasi meliputi pembuatan struktur makro, peta konsep, dan multipel representasi dari materi. Tahap karakterisasi meliputi penyusunan instrumen karakterisasi, kemudian uji coba kepada siswa untuk mengidentifikasi konsep sulit. Tahap terakhir, yaitu reduksi didaktik konsep terhadap konsep sulit. Reduksi didaktik yang dilakukan berupa pengabaian dan penggunaan penjelasan berupa sketsa. Hasil uji aspek keterbacaan bahan ajar menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan penentuan ide pokok, keterbacaan bahan ajar mencapai 67%, dengan kriteria keterbacaan tinggi. Hasil uji aspek kelayakan berdasarkan hasil angket terhadap 11 orang guru menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa secara keseluruhan tingkat kelayakan bahan ajar mencapai 91% dengan kriteria kelayakan baik sekali. Physics teaching materials for Senior High School that supporting the development of human resources that is able to adapt to any changes, to solve complex problems, creative thinking and familiar with information technology has not been widely available in senior high schools in West Sumatra. Based on the above, research that aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Physics teaching materials that integrates Mathematics, Science, Technology, natural disasters, and the noble character (MSTBK) on WEB for Senior High School grade XI and to determine the effect of the use of teaching materials MSTBK on the learning outcomes of high school students in class XI. The quasi-experiment design research was comparing the learning outcome before and after the state of the object being treated. The treatments were using physics teaching materials that developed for teaching learning in Senior High School grade XI. The experiment was conducted at five senior high schools in West Sumatra were divided into 3 levels. The data were analyzed by using a statistical product moment and Anova. The research showed that the physics teaching materials that developed are effectively to improve student learning outcomes in Senior High School grade XI in West Sumatera with a correlation coefficient (r_xy) = 0. 31. Levene Statistic showed the average of the learning outcomes of high school students in grade XI was different, but yet rules Tukey HSD and Bonferroni statistics show that there are not significantly of 0.05 at a significance level in West Sumatra

The lack of Biology teaching materials in senior high school in the Kerinci District has promoted this research. The purpose of this development research is to produce e-modules as teaching materials used by students in Biology subjects. The model used in developing this e-module is the 4-D model, which consists of 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Biology e-modules on plantae and animalia material based on the potential of the Kerinci region were validated by media and material experts. The results of the media expert validation obtained the final percentage of 90% (very valid category) and the material expert validation obtained a percentage of 75% (valid category). From the results of the field test, the teacher responded that the e-modules produced were suitable for use in biology class X high school learning with a percentage of 92.5% (very good category). Furthermore, e-module trials on students obtained responses that the products produced were also proper to be used in biology learning in class X of senior high school. The small group test obtained a score of 85% (excellent category) and the large group test obtained score 78.3% (good category). The use of the developed e-modules in learning resulted in a score of 76.3% (successful category).

This research is motivated by the lack of mathematics teaching materials that can make students learn on their own. The teaching material can be created by teachers as they are the ones who possess the knowledge about their students’ characteristics. Further, learning materials are a set of materials (information, tools, or texts) that can aid teachers and students to carry out the learning process. The two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) is one of the mathematics materials taught to eighth-grade students of junior high school; it contains problems related to daily life. However, it is found that this material is still difficult to master by most students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the SPLDV teaching materials that can help students learn and solve problems as well as be used as examples by teachers in developing other materials. This research aimed to make problem-based SPLDV teaching materials. The research method refers to the Four-D Model by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). It consisted of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The results showed that problem-based SPLDV teaching materials could be used in learning activities as the students and the teachers had shown their positive responses after going through expert assessments. This study also suggested that the teachers use this teaching material and adopt teaching materials for other similar materials.
