This literature review aims to build an understanding of the scope and amount of research published on the topic of proximity tourism within the tourism and hospitality literature. In addition to referring to a particular form of tourism that emphasises local destinations, short distances and lower-carbon modes of transportation, proximity tourism builds upon an idea of seeing our proximate, everyday surroundings anew. Despite the currency and relevance of the topic of proximity, the existing literature in tourism and leisure studies on proximity tourism is relevantly scarce. In addition, there is variance in the usage of concepts referring to proximity tourism. With these notions forming the motivation for our study, we conducted a systematic, thematic literature review of international research publications concerning the topic at hand. We identified a considerable potential in this emerging strand of research of proximity tourism to renegotiate tourism, its concepts and future(s). By re-examining the dichotomy between tourist and local; challenging the definition of tourism on the basis of distance as ‘nearness’ and ‘farness’ and; envisioning brave new tourism futures, the reviewed research literature of proximity tourism disrupts the very basic concepts of tourism. The existing literature of proximity (in) tourism is thus able to create space for new conceptualisations within tourism studies that make way for the plurality of tourism futures.

This article aims to describe how education administration should run in general. This article was prepared using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which begins with gathering study materials on the basic concepts of educational administration (understanding of educational administration, the importance of educational administration and the purpose of education administration), educational administration processes and the scope of educational administration. The material is in the form of books, articles, journals and various other sources. After the study material is collected, then the material is examined and studied in depth by the author, then the author concludes a new knowledge of the results of the analysis of the study materials. The results of education in education analysis are all education and facilities used in terms of the relationship of education in accordance with established policies to achieve as efficient and as effective as possible education, which includes the definition of education in education, the importance of educational administration and educational administration goals. Administrative administration of education itself consists of planning, organizing, activating and controlling. And the scope of education education is in the fields of academics, personnel, personnel, teacher companies, supervision, tourism and guidance.

Finnish basic education faces a significant change with the 2016 commissioning of the renewed core curriculum, which introduces a new transversal competence, termed multiliteracies—a concept closely related to media literacy. This systematic literature review examines the research literature on media literacy and multiliteracies, analysing and comparing the nature of knowledge constructed and the varying definitions of the two concepts. Previous review articles (Marten 2010; Potter 2010) found little consensus among scholars regarding the definition of media literacy. This review examines the research literature published in international peer-reviewed academic journals between 2010 and 2014 to investigate whether a mutual understanding of the concept has since been established. The article argues that significant differences exist between the concepts of media literacy and multiliteracies and, further, that Finnish core curriculum defines multiliteracies differently than the research literature defines the term. In line with previous research, this article finds no consensus on the definition of media literacy in the research literature. Based on the multifaceted nature of the concept, this article rejects attempts to establish a universal definition of media literacy and presents a theoretical framework for conceptualising media literacies based on their abstraction levels. The article aims to facilitate understanding of the concept and its operationalisation in research and practice and discusses future opportunities for research on media literacy and multiliteracies.

This chapter examines a 30-year collection of tourism destination image (TDI) components and scale attributes sourced from tourism and hospitality studies to assess the scientific field at hand. From the 1990s, it was clear that cognitive, affective, and overall (holistic) images were involved in destination image formation. Cognitive psychology is crucial to explain tourists´ behaviour, but tourism studies are not simply a branch of cognitive psychology. This study taps into the multidisciplinary character of destination image. At stake are propositions and theories applicable in tourism such as the theory of self-congruity, self-concept, brand signal theory, destination source credibility, novelty seeking theory, and brand equity theory. The intention of the present chapter is to map its theoretical ground and underlying hypotheses by means of a systematic literature review and point out sub-studied dimensions of TDI.

Without a guideline or structure, conducting a literature review on a psychological construct might become a chaotic process . This canvas was built based on the author's experience in order to help psychological researchers classify, organize, and summarize the information relating to the psychological construct of interest into several essential aspects including definition, classification, measurement, sample, predictors and outcomes, mediators and moderators, interventions, and theories. For each aspect, there are some guiding questions which are expected to help researcher decice which information should be focused while examining scientific documents. The completely filled canvas should depict the status quo of the research on the psychological construct of interest, facilitating the research process.

The public administration literature and adjacent fields have devoted increasing attention to living labs as environments and structures enabling the co-creation of public sector innovation. However, living labs remain a somewhat elusive concept and phenomenon, and there is a lack of understanding of its versatile nature. To gain a deeper understanding of the multiple dimensions of living labs, this article provides a review assessing how the environments, methods and outcomes of living labs are addressed in the extant research literature. The findings are drawn together in a model synthesizing how living labs link to public sector innovation, followed by an outline of knowledge gaps and future research avenues.

This work aims to reorganize theoretical and empirical research on smart mobility through the systematic literature review approach. The research goal is to reach an extended and shared definition of smart mobility using the cluster analysis. The article provides a summary of the state of the art that can have broader impacts in determining new angles for approaching research. In particular, the results will be a reference for future quantitative developments for the authors who are working on the construction of a territorial measurement model of the smartness degree, helping them in identifying performance indicators consistent with the definition proposed.
