Background: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and early defibrillation are the most common procedures performed by nurses as the first responders to cardiac arrest patients in the hospital setting. Therefore, nurses are demanded to have high skills for effective performance. Self-efficacy and knowledge are considered significant factors affecting early initiation of CPR and automated defibrillation. However, previous studies mostly focused on nursing students instead of frontline nurses. Objective: This research aimed to assess the relationship between nurses’ knowledge and self-efficacy regarding the early initiation of CPR and automated defibrillation of cardiac arrest patients.  Methods: The study employed a cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational survey. Using convenience sampling, two hundred eighty-seven nurses working in critical areas and inpatient and outpatient departments, King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH), Saudi Arabia, were selected. Resuscitation Knowledge and Self-Efficacy Scales were used for data collection (using Google Form) from November 2020 to January 2021. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation were used for data analysis. Results: Overall, 61.3% of participants had moderate knowledge (13.659 ± 2.175), and 63.8% had high self-efficacy (44.627 ± 58.397). The highest domain of self-efficacy was responding and rescuing, while the lowest domain was debriefing and recording. There was a significant positive relationship between knowledge and self-efficacy (p <0.001; r = 0.207). Conclusion: The positive relationship explained a high level of self-efficacy if there was a high level of knowledge. Thus, it is recommended that nursing programs apply CPR and automated defibrillation curricula during nurses’ internships, clear policies and procedures about CPR and automated defibrillation, continual updates about CPR and automated defibrillation, and knowledge and continuance training (on-job-training) about CPR and automated defibrillation, which can enhance and improve knowledge and self-efficacy among health care workers, especially for nurses.

Teaching and learning (TnL) is an important process that contributes to student academic achievement. While the effectiveness of TnL depends on the effectiveness and commitment of teachers. Thus, this study aims to identify the relationship between self-efficacy and teacher commitment in moderate performing secondary schools in the state of Kelantan. This study uses a quantitative approach in the form of a cross-sectional survey involving 351 respondents of teachers from 18 schools involved. The research instrument consisted of a set of questionnaires consisting of 20 items for teacher self-efficacy and 13 items related to teacher commitment. The study data were analyzed using Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) version 25 which involved Pearson correlation analysis. The findings showed that there was a significant strong relationship between teacher self-efficacy and teacher commitment (r = 0. 85, p <0.1). This shows that the level of self-efficacy of a teacher has an effect on teacher commitment. When the teacher has a high level of self-efficacy, then the level of their work commitment will also increase. Therefore, school administrators must ensure that teachers and staff in their schools are always exposed to courses and workshops to strengthen self-efficacy so that their level of self-efficacy is always at a high level. The findings of this study can be used as a guide to school administrators and teachers in organizing continuous teacher professional development strategies towards strengthening the level of self-efficacy of teachers, which in turn high work commitment among teachers can also be produced. The findings of this study also provide a meaningful contribution to educational practitioners in strengthening the ethics of teacher professionalism through the important elements of self-efficacy and teacher commitment towards enabling the teaching profession in schools to realize educational excellence.

The fast-paced change in schools demands high level of adaptability. Several factors have been explored through research that affects employees’ adaptability. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between employees’ perception of leaders’ efficacy and its impact on their adaptive performance. A sample of 266 academic & administrative employees was randomly selected from 50 private secondary schools of Lahore Pakistan. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis were run for data analysis and significant positive relationship was found between employees’ perception of leaders’ efficacy and their adaptive performance.

The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between psychological well-being, self-efficacy and positive thinking, among Prince Sattam Bin Abdul Aziz University’s students in Saudi Arabia. To answer the study questions, three questionnaires were administrated, two were submitted by the researcher (psychological well-being and self-efficacy), positive thinking scale by (Radi & Metib, 2017) to 350 university students with range age of 18 to 36 years old. The study adopted a descriptive design to measure the degree of correlation between variables, Results of the study showed that students have moderate psychological well-being level, and that there was a positive relationship between psychological well-being; self-efficacy and positive thinking, also research results indicated that there was a positive relationship between self-efficacy and positive thinking, but the results showed that (gender, faculty, acedamic level) had no impact on psychological well-being or positive thinking. The impact was within (academic level) on self-efficacy in benefit of master degree group.

In the context of education of socially disadvantaged pupils and the perspective of inclusive education, the teacher occupies a significant position. The presented study focuses on the issue of education of socially disadvantaged pupils, respectively its aim is to present results of the research survey focused on the attitudinal orientation of teachers in Pardubice, Liberec and Ústí nad Labem regions (n = 122) towards the socially disadvantaged pupils. Further, its goal is to find out whether there exists a relation between the teacher's attitudinal orientation and the region, his/her age, the length of the teaching experience, his/her experience with socially disadvantaged pupils education and their self-efficacy. In order to achieve research goals the Likert-type questionnaire method was used and as a research tool Teacher self-efficacy. The obtained data were subjected to factor analysis, in order to verify the relation between individual variables ANOVA was used, further Kruskal-Wallis test, Mann-Whitney test and Pearson correlation coefficient were used. It was found out that teachers evaluate the group of socially disadvantaged pupils rather negatively, on the other hand, they evaluate the possibility to reduce or overcome their disadvantage originating from the family environment they come from rather positively and also they perceive the relationship between the school and the socially disadvantaged pupils rather positively. The teachers' attitudinal orientation is not related to the previous experience with the education of socially disadvantaged pupils, the length of their teaching experience and region where the teachers work. On the contrary, the relation between teachers' attitudinal orientation and age and self-efficacy was proved.

Recognizing the importance of knowledge sharing, this study adopted social learning and social exchange perspectives to understand when employees may engage in knowledge sharing. Using data collected from 192 employees in various South Korean organizations, the findings demonstrate that there is a positive relationship between supervisor knowledge sharing and employee knowledge sharing. As employees perceive a high level of supervisor knowledge sharing, they are likely to engage in knowledge sharing based on social learning and social exchange theories. Furthermore, the study explores the moderating effects of learning goal orientation and affective organizational commitment in the relationship between supervisor knowledge sharing and employee knowledge sharing. The result supports the hypothesis that the relationship between supervisor knowledge sharing and employee knowledge sharing is strengthened when there is a high level of affective organizational commitment. Employees who obtain valuable knowledge from their supervisors are likely to engage in knowledge sharing when they are emotionally attached to their organization. However, in contrast to the hypothesis, the positive relationship between supervisor knowledge sharing and employee knowledge sharing was stronger at the lower levels of learning goal orientation (LGO) than at the higher levels of LGO.

Based on a survey of 147 Chinese employees, we examined the relationship between perceived career plateau and turnover intention, and the moderating role of career anchor in challenge in this process. We hypothesized that perceived career plateau would be positively related to turnover intention, and that this relationship would be stronger in employees with a higher level of career anchor in challenge than in those with a lower level. The results showed that perceived career plateau had a strong positive relationship with turnover intention, especially in employees with a high level of career anchor in challenge. These findings have implications for research in career development and turnover intention, as well as in management practices.

Background. Sudden cardiac arrest is a major public health problem in the world. Immediate initiation of high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) significantly increased patient survival rate. Therefore, it is very important to train young people and increase public awareness of CPR for the long-term benefit of the community. Objective. We aimed at estimating the level of knowledge and attitude towards cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) among the university students in the northern region of Saudi Arabia. Methodology. A cross-sectional, prospective study was conducted among the students of four northern region universities of Saudi Arabia (Jouf, Hail, Northern Borders, and Tabuk) between March and November 2017. A self-administered questionnaire was prepared in both Arabic and English languages and distributed to all the participants. All the data were collected and analyzed by using SPSS version 21. Results. A total of 947 students from four universities completed the questionnaire: Jouf (57%), Hail (15%), Northern Borders (13%), and Tabuk (15%). Although 72% of students have previous knowledge about CPR, 49% of them lack knowledge about a medical emergency. Moreover, 59% failed to answer regarding CPR where only 41% wrote the ABC steps in the correct sequence. However, 67% of the participants had very poor knowledge, 89% of participants desired to receive additional CPR training course, and 49% of the students thought that CPR training should be a mandatory graduation requirement for all universities. There were no significant differences between male and female students. Students from medicine-related colleges have significantly (p<0.001) more knowledge and scored better compared with non-medicine-related colleges. Tabuk University scored better compared to the others, but the overall knowledge and attitude scored were low. Conclusions. Overall knowledge about CPR among the university students was not satisfactory; however, attitude towards CRP training was very positive. Our results suggested that there is a need for improvement of CPR education among Saudi university students, which will help to reduce the cardiac arrest mortality rate among the community.

This study aims to examine the relationship between feedback environment practices and creativity in the educational organizations. This study is a quantitative study. A total of 40 polytechnic students from Polytechnic Kuching Sarawak are randomly selected to participate in this study. Data were obtained using a set of questionnaire consisting of three parts. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Inferential analysis involves <em>t</em> test and Pearson correlation. The findings have shown that the level of feedback environment based on students' perception is high. Simultaneously, the level of creativity among the students is also high. The findings indicated that there is no significant difference in feedback environment between genders. Furthermore, the study also showed a significant and positive relationship between feedback environment and students’ creativity. The results of this study have several implications directly to the formation of high-quality students as feedback environment and students’ creativity are interrelated and inseparable in educational organizations.

Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between perceived insufficient milk and breastfeeding self-efficacy levels among Turkish mothers. Methods: The study was conducted on 200 mothers whose infants were hospitalized and under treatment and who could breastfeed their infants in the newborn clinic of a university hospital in eastern Turkey between June 2013 and February 2014. A sampling method was not applied in the study, so the sample consisted of the population of the study. The ‘Personal Information Form’, ‘Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale’ and ‘Perception of Insufficient Milk Questionnaire’ were used to collect the data. Data were analysed by using percentage distribution and arithmetic average; independent sample t test, Mann–Whitney U test, Kruskal–Wallis variance analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and Cronbach alpha reliability coefficiency in the SPSS 18.0 package program. Results: The study determined that advanced age, higher education level and higher income status, male gender of the child, planning of the pregnancy, many births, receiving breastfeeding education and the length of time that mothers planned to exclusively breastfeed affected breastfeeding self-efficacy and perception of milk sufficiency positively ( p<0.05). The study showed that, as breastfeeding self-efficacy levels of mothers increased, their perception of milk sufficiency also increased ( p<0.05). Conclusion: The study concluded that some factors related to the mother, infant, pregnancy and breastfeeding affected breastfeeding self-efficacy and the perception of milk insufficiency. As the breastfeeding self-efficacy level increased, the milk was perceived to be more sufficient.

The writing of this article is a survey research with the aim of knowing the relationship between mathematical disposition and self-efficacy of PGSD/ PGMI students in universities throughout Indonesia. This study used a total of 37 public and private universities with 357 students using questionnaire data collection techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive. In addition, data analysis used Spearman's Rho. The results explained that the mathematical disposition with self-efficacy of PGSD / PGMI students in Indonesia based on the average questionnaire filling reached a correlation coefficient of 0.612 which was included in the very strong category. Sig. Value (2-tailed) obtained 0,000 which is smaller than 0.01 which means that there is a significant relationship between mathematical disposition variables and self-efficacy. This caused a strong positive relationship between mathematical disposition and student self-efficacy. AbstrakPenulisan artikel ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan tujuan mengetahui hubungan disposisi matematis dan self-efficacy mahasiswa PGSD/PGMI yang berada di Universitas se-Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek yang berjumlah 37 universitas negeri dan swasta dengan 357 mahasiswa dengan tekhnik pengumpulan data penyebaran angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Selain itu, analisis data menggunakan Spearman’s Rho. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa disposisi matematis dengan self-efficacy mahasiswa PGSD/PGMI yang berada di Indonesia berdasarkan rata-rata pengisian angket mencapai koefisien korelasi 0.612 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat. Nilai Sig. (2-tailed) didapat 0.000 yang lebih kecil dari 0.01 yang memiliki makna bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara variabel disposisi matematis dengan self-efficacy. Hal tersebut menyebabkan hubungan positif yang kuat antara disposisi matematis dengan self-efficacy mahasiswa.
