Improving Students' Learning Outcomes on Social Arithmetic Material Through Teams Games Tournament Learning Model. This study aims to describe the TGT learning steps that can improve the learning outcomes of social arithmetic material in class VII of PGRI 01 Singosari Middle School. This research is qualitative research with a type of classroom action research (CAR). Data sources were students of class VII D SMP PGRI 01 Singosari as many as 27 students. The procedure for collecting data in this study are (1) Observation, (2) Tests, and (3) Documentation. Stages of data analysis include reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Examination of the validity of the data used includes (1) persistence of observation, (2) triangulation, and (3) peer examination. The results of the study showed an increase in teacher and student activity from pre-action to action I and action II. The observation results of teacher activities in action I reached a percentage of 86.23%, in action II, it increased to 95.45% with a very good category. Furthermore, the observation results of student activities in action I reached a percentage of 79.3% and in action II, it increased to 91.73%. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in pre-action was 40.74%, the percentage of completeness of action I was 66.67%, and the percentage of completeness of action II was 85.18%. Thus the increase in learning outcomes from the action I to action II is 18.51%.

This research is motivated by the results of observations which show that the activities and writing skills of narrative essays by Grade IV students of Santaka Elementary School Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency are still low. This is indicated by the low understanding of students in learning narrative essay writing skills and student activities that are classified as passive during learning. The purpose of this research is to improve the activities and writing skills of students' narrative essays by applying the Concept Sentence learning model. The research method used is PTK with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research consisted of two cycles with 23 students. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the increase in student activity is seen from the average pre-cycle learning outcomes reaching 39%, then increasing in the first cycle after using the Concept Sentence model with an average of 70% and the second cycle reaching 83%. This shows an increase in student activity in learning to write narrative essays. The narrative essay writing skills in the initial conditions reached 26%, then increased in the first cycle with an average of 65% and in the second cycle reached 87%. This shows that the students' narrative essay writing skills have increased in each cycle with the application of the Concept Sentence model.

Education is a conscious and planned effort organized by school institutions to guide and train learners to grow awareness about the existence of life and the ability to solve every problem of life that always arises. It is reminded that teaching and learning activities are held in order to provide students with learning experiences. Selection of learning models used by teachers in delivering taught material can affect learning outcomes. One model of cooperative learning is Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model. The TGT learning model is a group learning model that involves student activity with an exchange of thoughts or ideas constructing knowledge amongst students in groups when getting assigned. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) or Classroom Action Research is a research that is intended to provide information on how appropriate action to improve teachers' ability and student activeness. The results of the implementation of the first cycle of action I have achieved the classical indicator that has reached 62.5% students score above 70 and the results in cycle II reach 92% students score above 70.

Based on observations in class VII SMPN 1 Atap 1, North Bajawa, it was found that many students were not very active and their learning outcomes had not yet reached the KKM, namely 65. One reason is that teachers still use conventional methods. This study aims to improve student’s activity and learning outcomes, through the Talking Stick type of cooperative learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the following stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were students of class VII SMPN 1 Atap 1 North Bajawa. Data collection techniques through observation, tests and documentation. Results of the analysis, the researcher found that classical completeness in cycle I was 46.67% and in cycle II was 86.36% so that there was an increase in learning outcomes by 40%. 45% and in the second cycle of 86.34% so that there was an increase of 15.91%. Therefore, the authors conclude that the Talking Stick can increase student activity and learning outcomes. The low learning outcomes was caused by the lack of teacher’s creativity in applying a learning model when the learning process took place. The purpose of this study was to show variations in learning in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes. This research used Classroom Action Research by applying 4 phases, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The study result explained that there was an increase in teacher’s activity 73,25% and student activity 74,5%. Then the learning outcomes of students in cycle I got 55,43% and cycle II got 84,78%. This meant an increase of 29,35%. Obtaining these results could be concluded that the application of the make a match model could improve activities and outcomes of student’s learning in the thematic subjects in harmonious sub-themes in sixth grade MIN 3 city Medan academic year2019/2020.
