The article discusses the environmental problems of the interaction of transport and technological systems with the environment in Tajikistan mountainous regions. The influence of factors on the functioning of the system of rendering transport services by passenger motor transport is revealed. Including the dependence of the solution of these basic tasks on the level of the transport security system and the validity of the transportation process, transport infrastructures, rational use of the transport potential of enterprises, as well as environmental problems in the mountainous region.

The article examines the Boguchany Dam building consequences and the stylistic devices of the novel. The option of considering the text as the warning novel and finding the connection with the predecessor writers in the moral position expression is specified.

Abstract Planning the extent of transport services within a selected territory is a topical issue especially in the context of developing integrated transport systems. The objective of this research study is to design a sustainable system of public passenger transport that would be an alternative to expanding individual transport. The implementation of a quality and efficient transport service is a relatively complex process, since, currently, there are no generally applicable principles for its design. This manuscript presents general results of research aimed at solving the problem of transport service within a selected territory issue with a focus on rail transport as an efficient transport system representing a backbone of a transport system. The subject of the investigation is to compile a set of factors affecting the design of the transport concept. The output of the manuscript consists in a proposal of a generally applicable procedure including a calculation of transport potential and characteristics of the inputs. Subsequently, based on the resulting values, it will be possible to determine the extent of the transport services provided by rail transport in any territory, which will contribute to a more efficient and high quality theoretical graph of train running.

In the study, the authors have identified the dominant trends in the development of the international road transport services market. These include monopolization and protectionism, structural imbalances, namely, predominance of European transport companies in the international motor transport market, prevailing of private transport companies. Hence, the researchers determined the general vector of improvement of the motor transport services market in the modern stage of internationalization of global economic relations. The current trends in the development of the international road transport services market in Ukraine are substantiated. The authors propose a competitiveness assessment methodology for transport enterprises. It is proposed to quantify the following elements as part of the competitiveness coefficient of a transport enterprise: 1) the range of offered transportation services; 2) pricing policy; 3) advertising; 4) public relations; 5) sales system; 6) employee incentive system; 7) innovative activity of the enterprise. Using the proposed methodological approach will help making reasonable management decisions to improve the efficiency of transport enterprises, to expand the information base of economic research, and to improve the quality of analysis in the context of accelerated development of the international logistics infrastructure.

This article considers the main types of global environmental problems as crisis ecological situations that are relevant for the entire planet, the solution of which is possible only with the participation of all humanity. Global environmental problems closely related to other global world problems, they affect each other and the emergence of some leads to the emergence or aggravation of others. The paper is concerned that such a complex world problem as the demographic caused by the explosive growth of the world's population leads to a sharp increase in the burden on the environment due to an increase in people's needs for food, energy, housing, industrial goods, etc. Obviously, without solving the demographic problem, without stabilizing the population, it is impossible to restrain the development of crisis ecological processes on the planet. In turn, the ecological problems of desertification, deforestation, causing degradation and loss of agricultural land, lead to an aggravation of the world food problem. The ecological danger of such global problem as military is great. In this article, we have determined that environmental degradation leads to significant economic costs as a result of degradation of natural resources, pollution, deterioration of public health.

Plantations support local economies and rural livelihoods in many mountainous regions, where poverty and a fragile environment are often interlinked. Managing plantations sustainably and alleviating poverty is a major challenge. This study reports on the findings of a household livelihood survey in the central mountainous region of Hainan Island, a global biodiversity hotspot. The survey aimed to identify rural household livelihoods, strategies to lift rural households out of poverty and potential environmental consequences of different livelihood strategies. Households were divided into five groups based on their main source of income: plantations, crops, livestock, local off-farm income and remittances. Plantations were the main source of income for 74% of households and provided 46% of the total income. Plantation land area, planting diverse tree species and intercropping were significantly associated with higher income. Reallocating land by family size could increase the proportion of households above the poverty line in the plantation group from 51.3% to 85.3%, while making only 3.3% of households worse off. Lower income households tended to apply more chemicals to plantations, which suggests that they create more strain on the environment. Improving household income through dynamically allocating plantation land and diversifying planted species could therefore be beneficial both socially and environmentally. Our results emphasize the importance of dynamic plantation land allocation and diverse plantation planting in poverty alleviation and environmental sustainability.

The paper presents the possibility, necessity, ideology and essence of the entropy method of estimating the orderliness of the transportation process in relation to urban public transport. Examples of numerical definition of the relative entropy of the transportation process on typical public transport routes are given. The paper shows that the level of orderliness of the transportation process, identified by relative entropy, is determined by the specifics of the spatial location of public transport routes in terms of the urban area and mainly depends on the quality of users of public transport services.

Competitiveness indicators for transport services are changing under the influence of both intra-industry factors and the conditions of the transport market and macroeconomic conditions. At the same time, under the conditions of continuous improvement of quality and differentiation of transport services of the competing companies, the requirements put forward by freight owners to trucking companies change. The article proposes a new method of assessing the competitiveness of a motor transport company by the transport service quality indicators. The developed model allows to assess the competitiveness of the motor transport enterprise on the basis of the transport service quality indicators, taking into account both the importance of the individual factors of quality in the general system and their various changes. This model can be used to provide an indicative assessment of the quality of transportation in various segments of the freight market.
