At the moment, macroalgae blooms in sea waters, the rotting of which causes greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to the formation of a negative ecological and economic situation in coastal zones, which has become a serious problem. Fuel production through hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) of macroalgae and marine debris is a promising solution to this ecological problem. The article provides an overview of studies on producing fuel from macroalgae and an assessment of the possibility of their joint recovery with marine debris. The optimal process conditions and their technological efficiency were evaluated. The article shows the feasibility of using heterogeneous catalysis and co-solvent to increase the yield of bio-oil and improve its quality. An assessment of the possibility of joint processing of waste macroalgae and marine debris showed the inexpediency of this direction. The high degree of drift macroalgae contamination also raises the question of the appropriateness of the preliminary extraction of other valuable components for nutrition use, such as fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and their derivatives.

Abstract The socio-ecological problem of the Torey Lakes, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, which arose in connection with the construction of a dam on the Uldza River, which began by Mongolia, which is the main ground feeding artery of the lakes, is considered. An option is proposed to save the lakes on our own, by laying a water supply system with a length of about 40 km. from Onon River, with the preliminary construction of a reservoir here due to the confluence of the channels of the old, middle and new Onon, as well as options for groundwater budding. Examples of the transfer of river waters carried out in different regions are given.

In recent years, electric and hybrid vehicles have taken more and more attention due to their apparent advantages in saving fuel resources and reducing harmful emissions into the environment. Even though electric vehicles can solve the ecological problem, their operation is faced with a number of inconveniences associated with a limited driving distance from a single charge due to limited storage of energy from an independent power source and a lack of the required service and repair infrastructure. In hybrid and electric vehicles one of the main parameters is the curb weight, which affects energy consumption, vehicle speed, stability, controllability and maneuverability. In this regard, leading car manufacturers use parts with a low specific weight (non-metallic, aluminum alloys, etc.) in the design and also exclude some units from the design. Due to these technical solutions, the vehicle's operating is improved. One of the groups of parameters to be defined when designing a new electric vehicle is the parameters relating to the electric motor. The purpose of the article is determination of the mechanical characteristics of a two-rotor electric motor during magnetic flux control and assessment of the possibility of organizing the drive of the drive wheels of the vehicle. The electric motor has two mechanically independent outputs. For the study, an electrical equivalent diagram has been developed for the given two-rotor electric motor. A simulation model of the equivalent diagram has been built. Simulating the interaction processes of the rotors with the stator made it possible to obtain data for building the mechanical characteristics for each output of the electric motor. Analysis and processing of the mechanical characteristics data of the electric motors showed the conformity and the range of changes in the torque on each of the rotors when changing their slip and revolution, which are required when building algorithms for the operation of electric motor control systems as part of drives for various purposes. Analysis of the simulation results made it possible to assess the possibility of using the considered two-rotor electric motor for the drive of drive wheels in an electric and hybrid wheeled vehicle.

Accurate precipitation in mountain area is very important for evaluating the hydrological process and ecological problem. With the satellite data having been widely used in the past few decades, adaptability evaluation becomes the principle problem. The adaptability of TRMM 3B43 in mountain area of Central Asia was analyzed in this study. The TRMM product was compared with the observed data for the period of 2000-2006. Four statistic parameters were introduced based on the statistical analysis theory. The results show that the bias reached -13.93% over the entire regions, and the correlation coefficients over 70% of stations were greater than 0.70. According to the accuracy analysis of TRMM, we found the errors have significant differences in time and space. On the whole, the precision in the warm seasons is much higher than that in the cold seasons. The precision of the southern and eastern areas is higher than the other areas in space. Additionally, the accuracy of TRMM with elevation was acceptable at very significant level. This study indicates that the precipitation from TRMM 3B43 could be applied in the Tianshan Mountains in Central Asia. It could provide reference for the use of new data source in the mountain area.

The article discusses the issues of reducing the level of technogenic safety of the negative impact of urban wastewater sludge on the environment by removing heavy metals using humic substances. It is noted that the technogenic and ecological problem requires an urgent solution through the formation of new effective methods of treatment (neutralization and dehydration) and further disposal of urban wastewater sludge. Silt sites are a source of pollution of soil, groundwater and surface water object and air. A new method for removing heavy metals from municipal wastewater sludge using humic substances has been developed. It was found that humic substances have a sorption capacity in relation to heavy metals. As a reagent for removing heavy metals from urban wastewater sludge, it is proposed to use the product of processing lignite and peat with alkali using a carbon-alkali reagent, which makes it possible to reduce the concentration of heavy metals to such concentrations that the sludge can be used as fertilizer in agriculture.

Ecosystem restoration has been widely concerned with the damage and degradation of ecosystems worldwide. Scientific and reasonable formulations of ecological restoration zoning is the basis for the formulation of an ecological restoration plan. In this study, a restoration zoning index system was proposed to comprehensively consider the ecological problems of ecosystems. The linear weighted function method was used to construct the ecological restoration index (ERI) as an important index of zoning. The research showed that: (1) the ecological restoration zones of the Qilian Mountains can be divided into eight basins, namely the headwaters of the Datong River Basin, the Danghe-Dahaerteng River Basin, the northern confluence area of the Qinghai Lake, the upper Shule River to middle Heihe River, the Oasis Agricultural Area in the northern foothills of the Qilian Mountain, the Huangshui Basin Valley, Aksay (corridor region of the western Hexi Basin), and the northeastern Tsaidam Basin; (2) the restoration index of the eight ecological restoration zones of the Qilian Mountains was between 0.34–0.8, with an average of 0.61 (the smaller the index, the more prominent the comprehensive ecological problem representing the regional mountains, rivers, forests, cultivated lands, lakes, and grasslands, and thus the greater the need to implement comprehensive ecological protection and restoration projects); and (3) the ecological problems of different ecological zones are frequently numerous, and often show the phenomenon of multiple overlapping ecological problems in the same zone.

Abstract Besides all the positive characteristics of cement bound courses (CBC), it has some detrimental effects on the pavement wearing courses. Due to cement hydration, this mixture is affected by shrinkage. Shrinkage induces cracks in the whole layer which along with weather conditions propagate through asphalt layers in a short period. Also, it’s stiffness negatively affects cracks propagation without providing elastic support for upper layers. As a result, roads are covered with various damages which reduces driving comfort and safety and demand new financial investments. The focus is on reducing the detrimental effect of CBC on the pavement. Nowadays, large quantities of recycled rubber can be found on the market. Wasted rubber is a large ecological problem due to its long decomposition period. On the other hand, by mechanical grinding and separation process, suitable fractions of rubber can be obtained for use in construction. Consequently, the replacement of conventional material by crumb rubber reduces the consumption of natural material and energy for its exploitation. Appropriate amounts and fractions of recycled rubber have the potential to reduce shrinkage and increase the elasticity of CBC. Within this paper, preliminary research results will be presented on the possibilities of crumb rubber implementation in CBC and its effects on mechanical characteristics. By using recycled materials in construction processes we undertake a major step in the sustainable management of natural resources.

Glass waste & Egg Shell Powder cannot be processed for useful applications and may end up in a landfill. In India nearly 30 tonnes of Glass waste in every metropolitan city generated every year. This establishes the ecological problem and is measured an additional problem on the previouslyclose-fitting landfill space. This article studies the possibility of using post-consumer Glass Waste Powder and Egg Shell in Powder form as a fractional substitute for conservative cement on concrete. During manufacturing of cement it emits a huge carbon di oxide and cause various effect to atmosphere. In this project tried to minimize the usage of cement by partial replacement of waste material from general utilities. Here I replaced cement by partial as glass powder and egg shell powder with a percentage of 0 %, 20%, 30%, and 40% and for its compressive strength up to 7, 14 and 28 Ages evaluate the strength properties. Comparison result has obtained by cube test & split tensile test. Since now a day’s the developing and developed countries are facing lack of post consumer dumping site and it has become extremely serious difficulty. This waste product should convert resource of by-product to control environmental pollutions.

The Plastic especially that used for beverage containers generates large tons of daily waste, currently being the first waste material that accumulates the most in our cities. A problem that increases when one takes into account that it is a material that takes around 500 years to fully degrade. In recent years, the development of ideas in the use and recycling of PET bottles has increased worldwide due to the level of the ecological problem it poses. There are processes that reuse waste beverage containers for the elaboration of construction elements another of its magnificent advantages is the simplicity in its production process. They do not require firing and, unlike the conventional brick manufacturing process that joins cement and sand, for the manufacture of a PET brick the sand is replaced by particles of PET plastic from twenty waste bottles, with which we obtain a much more alternative ecological sustainable,
