This chapter aims to critique the methodologies of studies conducted in the field of the internationalization of higher education. The authors of this chapter selected nine articles and presented the commonalities between them and how their tools determined the findings. The authors first evaluated three articles that implemented a qualitative approach. Then they evaluated three articles that implemented a quantitative approach. Finally, the authors examined studies investigating higher education's internationalization through a mixed-method approach. The authors provide critiques, guidance, and insights into the procedural correctness on how the selected articles could be conducted better in the future.

Background: Postpartum depression (PPD) is commonly seen in women after birth and can lead to adverse effects on both the health of mothers and child(ren) development. In Vietnam, there have been a number of studies examining the rate and risk factors of PPD, but none has provided a systematic review.Aim: This current literature review aims to summarize and synthesize the current state of knowledge of studies conducted in Vietnam to provide a comprehensive understanding of the PPD phenomena during the last 10 years.Data Sources: A literature search was conducted relying on the most common online databases—MEDLINE/PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, which included articles if they (i) examined prevalence or risk factors of PPD; (ii) were conducted among Vietnamese participants using either quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method, and (iii) were published from 2010 to 2020. After the filtering process, 18 articles were eligible to be reviewed. Results: Research studies in Vietnam on PPD are conducted among women at and after 1-month delivery. The rate of PPD reported in Vietnam among mothers at postnatal time points from 1 to 12 months ranged from 8.2 to 48.1%. Risk factors can be clustered into three groups: personal factors, family factors, and environmental factors.Recommendation: Further research studies should focus on examining PPD at an earlier stage within the first month after birth. The investigation of risk factors in a comprehensive manner for Vietnamese mothers would also be recommended.

This mixed method research accomplished a literature review about acculturation on the earlier The American Journal of Sociology. The word acculturation scarcely appeared. However, topics related to acculturation were usual, i.e., race, immigration, colonial, intercultural influence, and still gender. Assimilation, multicultural and fusion works appeared, and the pervasive was the multicultural model. The research found out that the multicultural model was grounded in the 19th century. Multiculturalism had its roots on the liberal WASP culture. As Herbert Spencer, the journal often praised minimal intercultural contact in order to achieve maintenance and cultural diversity. The pervasive attitude wanted cultural adaptation with cultural maintenance, and, at the same time, it vindicated the WASP cultural superiority. Integration of differentiated categories of thought, races, genders, and migrants were organized mainly by progress, competition, and social dominance narratives, and it impaired the culture of the separated but equal.

Agriculture distress is a reality. Hence, the phenomenon of farmer suicides continues. This is, in spite of government support through financial aids. On the other hand, climatic conditions have undergone huge change and enhanced natural calamities like drought or floods. Thus, farmers' life is at stake and these natural calamities make it further difficult to repay the debts they avail for cultivating farming. Statistics reflect an increase in farmers suicide in the past two years. This is a cause of worry and may further increase if proper, and effective solutions are not in place. The issue is serious. Hence, there is a dire need to look into and act on priority to find stable solutions. Instead of granting repetitive financial packages, the need is to adopt suitable schemes. Hence, adopting a mixed-method approach with an in-depth literature review, the chapter aims to propose a stakeholder strategy to lessen agriculture distress. This is not mandatory, but adoption is likely to benefit a large number of poor farmers.
