This article has two objectives. The first is to study the concepts of Competitive Intelligence and Dynamic Capabilities, aiming to verify if the stages of the competitive intelligence cycle can constitute stimulating elements for Dynamic Capabilities in organizations. The second goal is to understand how the competitive intelligence process is dealt with in medium- and large-sized companies in Brazil, grounded on opinions by specialists on the topic (scholars, researchers and consultants). For its consecution, besides the literature review on the subject, information was collected by means of in-depth interviews and, seeking triangulation of data, a comparative research was conducted on similar studies. It is a qualitative research that applies content analysis as its technique for investigation. The study supports that the routines in the stages of the competitive intelligence cycle and the abilities required for its operationalization foster the mobilization of Dynamic Capabilities in organizations. Competitive Intelligence, through a suitable development of the activities established in its phases, promotes the perception for change (sensing) and provides the necessary intelligence for the acquiring of the knowledge which will be the foundation for action (seizing), thus contributing for the continuous reinvention of the business (transforming). On the other hand, evidences suggest that Competitive Intelligence practices are still in their embryonic stages of application in Brazilian companies, and therefore need efforts for further qualification and consolidation.

This research aimed to investigate the relevance between the literature reviews and the research questions of the theses written by the students who graduated in 2019 from seven study programs in STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. The research design was qualitative research which focused on describing, explaining, and exploring the students’ thesis writings, whether the literature reviews described were relevant to their research questions. Purposive sampling was the technique used to select the data that consisted of 13 students’ theses. This research focused on those 13 theses because they were written in a qualitative method, which showed the relevance between research questions and the literature review. Here, content analysis was used to analyze the data to show whether the literature review of each thesis discusses the relevant theories to answer the research questions. The result showed that among 13 students’ theses, 6 theses were relevant, and 7 were irrelevant. It means that more students had written with irrelevant theories. It can be suggested to the thesis advisors to give more attention to the quality of students’ theses because the irrelevance can interfere with the qualities of their theses.

Abstract Introduction: As part of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s (TRC) Final Report on the history and legacy of residential schools in Canada, ninety-four (94) Calls to Action were identified. Of those, seven are health-specific. The objective of this research paper is to determine how Canadian health library websites are responding to these calls to action. Methods: The authors conducted an initial literature review to gain an understanding of the context of Indigenous health in Canada. A content analysis of Canadian health library websites was conducted to track mentions of the TRC and their responses to the need for Indigenous-focused resources. Results: The results of content analysis indicated few online responses to the TRC’s Calls to Action from Canadian health libraries. Only thirty-three per cent of Canadian health libraries had content that was Indigenous-focused, and only about fifteen per cent of health libraries had visible content related to the TRC’s Calls to Action. Academic and consumer health libraries were more likely to have both TRC- and Indigenous-focused content. Discussion: Nuances related to the research question resulted in some challenges to research design. For example, website content analysis is an imperfect indicator of real-world action. Limitations in research design notwithstanding, visibility is an important part of conveying commitment to the TRC, and the information available indicates the Canadian medical community is not living up to that commitment. Conclusion: Canadian health libraries need to do more to show a visible commitment to the TRC’s Calls to Action.

The shortage of human resources specialized in science, technology, engineering and technology (CTIM) throughout the world is a latent problem, coupled with the phenomenon of underrepresentation of women in these fields. Therefore, the purpose of this literature review is to analyze in the existing studies the factors that influence the interest in the choice of CTIM careers and their interrelation with gender. For this, a search was conducted in the databases of SCOPUS, Thompson, Elsevier and Redalyc, empirical articles of quantitative studies were included. It is found that the most studied variables are the influence of the family, the teachers, and the experiences of the subjects during middle and high school, self-efficacy, student peers and the expectations of the labor field. Gender stereotypes and roles have been poorly addressed, one of the limitations in this line of research is the insufficiency of longitudinal studies.

HOTS were three upper cognitive processes of Bloom's revised taxonomy by Anderson and Krathwohl (2001) which consisted of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The objectives of this research were (1) to know the distribution of HOTS in English teacher-made test (2) to evaluate the relevancy of the English teacher-made test with the competencies in English simplified syllabus; (3) to know the reason for less appearance of HOTS in the English teacher-made test. This research focused on English teacher-made tests for grade X and grade XI in the academic year of 2020/2021 at the senior high school number 6 and senior high school number 11 in Bengkulu city. This study adopted a mixed-method as the research design. The first result displayed that HOTS obtained lower distribution rather than LOTS and MOTS in English teacher-made tests for grade X and grade XI at both schools. The second result showed that the English teacher-made tests for grade X and grade XI at both schools were relevant to the English simplified syllabus. The last, the reason for less appearance of HOTS in English teacher-made test at both schools came from two aspects. From the teachers' aspect, they needed more HOTS professional training to improve their understanding of HOTS. From the students' aspect, they needed to practice and learn more about HOTS questions, because most students could not work with HOTS questions.

This article reports the results of the phase I, multisite study, assessing preferences for traditional or on-line instruction between undergraduate and graduate students. Theses students had initially enrolled in a traditional (i.e., on-site) platform of instruction but due to the national distancing policy were instead instructed via an on-line only format. A mixed-method research design was employed using an author-developed survey instrument to assess instruction preference and two open-ended questions; the answers to which were subjected to content analysis.
