This study aims to identify parental attachment's effects on trainee counsellors' personality traits in the Universiti of Malaysia Sarawak UNIMAS. This research adopted a correlational research design. The respondents were 209 trainee counsellors from the Counselling Program, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak UNIMAS. Two questionnaires were used in this study: The Inventory of Parents and Peer Attachment (IPPA) and the Big Five Personality. The findings indicated a significant relationship between Parents Communication, Attachment and Extraversion and the Agreeableness Trait of Personality. It also showed a significant relationship between Parents Communication Attachment and Extraversion, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness. We also found a significant relationship between Parents' Alienation Attachment and Conscientiousness, Neuroticism and Openness. The study informs society about the need to increase awareness about the importance of knowing attachment styles and personality traits as both impact individuals' lives..

This study aimed to determine the relationships of big five personality traits and teaching performance of faculty of College of Teacher Education, Laguna State Polytechnic University Los Baños Campus, Los Baños, and Laguna. The study was conducted at the College of Teacher Education (CTE) of Laguna State Polytechnic University-Los Baňos Campus during 1st semester of Academic Year 2015-2016 employing correlational research design. The respondents of the study were the 20 faculty of CTE consist of 2 Associate Professors, 10 Assistant Professors and 7 Instructors.  A valid survey questionnaire on determining the level of big five personality traits adapted from the site of personality-testing.info, courtesy ipip.ori.org and the IPCR Evaluation are the instruments of this study. Frequency count, percentage and mean were used to describe the profile of the respondents and their teaching performance. Pearson r was used to determine the significant relationship between teachers’’ big five personality traits and their’ teaching performance. The results describe that teachers tend be about average in most of the big five personality traits except from neuroticism which shows a relatively low description. The results also revealed a weak correlation between variables such that it determined that there is no significant relationship the level of big five personality traits and the teaching performance of the respondents. Based on the conclusions the researchers suggested to have further study since it is limited only to the faculty of Teacher Education and also it is highly recommended to correlate teaching performance including students’ evaluation for their teachers and the academic performance of the students with teachers’ personality traits since the teaching performance is one of the factors that affect the students’ academic performance.

The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between Big Five Personality traits (neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, conscientiousness), occupational stress and job satisfaction of police officers in Cyprus Police. A cross-sectional design was employed, where data was collected at a single time point. A total of 133 participants took part in the research program. The research instruments consisted of the Neo Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ) and Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS). The result of the research indicated that the correlation of conscientiousness, extraversion, openness to experience and agreeableness to job satisfaction were not significantly linked while neuroticism had a moderately negative correlation with job satisfaction, and it was the only statistically significant relationship. Results showed that gender had a statistically significant relationship with job satisfaction, with males reporting greater job satisfaction than females. Additionally, work stress in the police force significantly predicts job satisfaction over and above the effect of personality traits.

Returns depend upon decisions of investors, but investors biases challenge the ability to take rational decisions. Study of biases and their relationships with personality traits helps to understand how biases originate, the way in which they possibly effect investors, and which personality types could be more susceptible to them. There are evidences that biases have relationships with personality traits of investors and this study focuses on one such relationship between framing bias and personality traits. Given the qualitative nature of variables under study, the relationship was established by statistically significant coefficients of logistic regression equation, where bias-variable was dependent and big five personality traits were independent. The score of personality trait, which had significant relationship, was cross tabulated with bias variable, the chi square test indicated a statistically significant relationship. The results lead to conclusion that an investor with higher score of agreeableness has higher probability of having framing bias. It is also discussed that an agreeable person may demonstrate irrationality discussed in prospect theory, more as compared to others, as the framing effects were measured using gain and loss frames. Since the study deals with frames of communication, it indicates towards the effects of personality traits on communication between portfolio manager and clients. The study contributes for portfolio managers that an agreeable client may not actually agree for rational decision if the communication is not in right frame.

There is a significant relationship between personality and academic achievement. It shows that personality plays an important part in student academic performance. The main purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between Big Five Personality traits and academic performance among foundation student based on their CGPA. There were 137-foundation students from private universities in Malaysia participants in this study. With 92 female and 45 males involved. Pearson correlation analysis was performing in this study. The result of this study showed that personality has a significant relationship between personality and academic performance. In details, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Openness were positively significant related to CGPA, while Extraversion and Neuroticism were negatively related to the CGPA. This result supports the other findings. With this finding, the academician will have more understanding on their students. There are a number of factors that influence students’ academic achievement and one of its personality factors. Besides that, this result also can give useful information to the lecturer in order to understand student’s personality and to match their teaching styles with the student’s personality to improve the student’s performance.

The Covid-19 pandemic is a major problem that is currently faced worldwide. As an effort to minimize this problem, the government enforces a health protocol appeal for the Indonesian citizens. The change in the situation affects people’s lives, especially in the economic and trade sector in Indonesia. One of the impacts is a change in people’s assumptions in assessing a product. Currently, health protocols are one of the considerations in consuming products during the pandemic, so that people move to products that can protect themselves from the transmission of Covid-19. The changes in consumer behavior can be explained through one of the dimensions of the Big Five Personality, namely conscientiousness. Conscientiousness can describe individual behavior in maintaining their own health. Therefore, this study wants to see whether there is a relationship between the conscientiousness and the consideration of health protocols in product consumption during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach, with correlational research design. Based on the results of data analysis using Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation, the value obtained was ???????? (1056) = 0.256, p < 0.001. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between conscientiousness and the consideration of health protocols in product consumption during pandemic.

The aim of the research is to study developmental relations between attachment to mother, father and friends and dimensions of adolescents? self-concept. More specifically, we examine if this relation is direct or mediated by some personality construct. A sample of 878 students (13 and 16 years old) from Belgrade urban lower secondary and upper secondary schools participated in this research. Participants completed ECR for mother, father and friend; Selfperception profile for adolescents and NEOFFI. The results have indicated that dimensions of attachment are correlated with dimensions of self-concept, and that they can explain 13% of variance in dimensions of self-concept. When the personality traits are introduced as mediators, attachment dimensions explain only 4.5% of variance in self-concept. The quality of attachment relations with parents is not related to adolescents? self-concept, while attachment to friends is correlated with social dimensions of self-concept. Hence, this study suggests that adolescents with particular parental attachment styles differ according to their self-concept profiles, but that peer attachment is important for adolescents? social self. Beside that, this study reveals significant gender differences: relation between parental and peer attachment and adolescents? self-concepts is not the same for boys and girls.

Abstract. This replication and extension of DeYoung, Quilty, Peterson, and Gray’s (2014) study aimed to assess the unique variance of each of the 10 aspects of the Big Five personality traits ( DeYoung, Quilty, & Peterson, 2007 ) associated with intelligence and its dimensions. Personality aspects and intelligence were assessed in a sample of French-Canadian adults from real-life assessment settings ( n = 213). Results showed that the Intellect aspect was independently associated with g, verbal, and nonverbal intelligence while its counterpart Openness was independently related to verbal intelligence only, thus replicating the results of the original study. Independent associations were also found between Withdrawal, Industriousness and Assertiveness aspects and verbal intelligence, as well as between Withdrawal and Politeness aspects and nonverbal intelligence. Possible explanations for these associations are discussed.

Abstract. In recent years, both professional and volunteer clowns have become familiar in health settings. The clown represents a peculiar humorist’s character, strictly associated with the performer’s own personality. In this study, the Big Five personality traits (BFI) of 155 Italian clown doctors (130 volunteers and 25 professionals) were compared to published data for the normal population. This study highlighted specific differences between clown doctors and the general population: Clown doctors showed higher agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, and extraversion, as well as lower neuroticism compared to other people. Moreover, specific differences emerged comparing volunteers and professionals: Professional clowns showed significantly lower in agreeableness compared to their unpaid colleagues. The results are also discussed with reference to previous studies conducted on groups of humorists. Clowns’ personalities showed some peculiarities that can help to explain the facility for their performances in the health setting and that are different than those of other groups of humorists.
