This study deals with the decomposition analysis of prefixes in English and Mandailing Natal Language. The purpose is to find out the similarities and differences of prefixes in both languages. The data of this research were obtained by conducting library research and field research. The data were analyzed and compared to find out the similarities and differences. The findings indicated that there are some of them only found in one language. There are types of the prefix in English (e.g., un-, hyper-, under-, in-, mis-, super-, over-, pre-, inter-). In Mandailing Natal Language, there is the prefix (e.g., ma-, pa-, tar-, tarpa-, sa- and sasa-, um-). Both English and Mandailing Natal language can be found prefixes which are used to indicate a positive degree that is not found in English. There are some similarities and differences between prefixes in English and Mandailing Natal language.

Communication technology has played an important role in disseminating information to the public. This information includes the dissemination of photographic images seen in various forms. The Internet is also seen as a tool to convince the public of an event. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to see what are the main factors that influence students to tend to do the sharing of photographic images in the online community. The method used for this research was a focus group discussion (FGD) consisting of 21 informants aged 20 - 25 years old. All informants are students of the University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP). To see the basis of the spread of a photographic image, Narrative Theory has been used to support this study. The findings of the study found that several factors are seen as the main factors of image sharing online. Among them is the use of themes in the image and the emotions found in the image. In addition, ‘subject matter’ and ethics is an important factor that is evaluated before a photographic image is shared. However, some informants do not take any action instead are more interested in sharing photographic images. This is due to the lack of exposure to photography and the use of the media itself.

Empowerment is the process of creating community independence through the management of various capital, especially social capital in the community itself (self-help). Some research shows that development in Minangkabau is considered successful in the physical field. However, behind the success of physical development has an impact on erosion of socio-cultural that inherent on the Minangkabau community. This article analyzes the various forms of social capital found in Kaum as the local community of the Minangkabau people in the perspective of social capital; trust, norms, and network. The multicase study is used in the epistemological proof step by involving five (5) Kaum as the locus of study. The findings in this study conclude that; First, in the perspective of trust people have a high level of awareness so that the power to be with one another and help become more dominant. Secondly, customary and Islamic norms are deeply institutionalized in the Kaum so that social control and safety networks are more effective. The three, networks in the Kaum are permanent as the basis for laying out various interests of empowerment.

The research aims to analyze the analysis of fantasy and representation of female on gay and male homoerotic relationships in the Yaoi Genre. This research uses an ethnographic approach, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that Fujoshi's background likes love stories between men is certainly different. But from this study it is found that there are a number of similarities, such as being Fujoshi because they initially like manga and anime, those who were curious about the Yaoi Genre, and those who feel bored with the love story between men and women, as well as various other reasons that made them finally addicted romance between men to have sexual fantasies between men.

The purpose of writing this article is to provide an analytical study of literary texts associated with the diversity of local wisdom in North Sumatra. The emergence of short story writers in North Sumatra gives a new color in carrying the wisdom of the local culture. The content of short stories loaded with cultural contents is implicitly conveyed to provide knowledge about the culture itself that begins to fade. Problems in this study include how to examine local wisdom in the short stories of North Sumatra authorship. The theory used is Cultural Theory and Literary Anthropology, which is very relevant in exploring aspects of local wisdom in the content of the short stories. Qualitative descriptive methods are used in identifying and analyzing the contents of such short stories and then interpreted in the context of related local cultural wisdom. This of course requires an objective narrative so that the explanation does not deviate from the cultural packages of North Sumatra. The results of the research obtained illustrate the strength of local wisdom that appears in the content of the North Sumatra authorship short story. Aspects of the language system, social system, livelihood system, and arts represent local wisdom from the analysis of north Sumatra's authorship short stories. These values are examined from the background and from dialogues that arise from the contents of short stories and then constructed according to the theory used.

The number of Indonesia user YouTube Access increases significantly. The content of YouTube also diverse including Islam da'wah in many channels in YouTube both national and international. The comment fixture in YouTube not only simplify users to comment but also create a conflict between users including the Ustadz Abdul Somad Rejection broadcasting. This aim of the research is to figure out how the meaning of YouTube comment and how the application of comment Islam ethics according to Quran and Hadis in the Ustadz Abdul Somad cases on YouTube. This research also using cyber conflict and Quran verse and Hadis related to communication Islam ethics. The method of this research using Netnography where researcher focus to comment columns who indicated have a conflict between users. The data of this research is the comment columns on three video who indicated have an Ustadz Abdul Somad Rejection topic. The result of this research that Pro UAS trying to mobilize opinion to drive out Banser while anti-UAS framing UAS as a radicalism orator and involve in prohibit organization. Both pro-UAS and anti-UAS always mocking each other when creating a conflict. They also think this is the best way to win the debate.

The essence of education and learning is to shape the character of students in preparing superior and competitive human resources. Character building is very much influenced by leadership, role models, and culture in the school, so this study will examine the influence of these three variables in shaping the character of students in junior high school. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique of 157 junior high school students in Tulungagung district as respondents in this study. Data is collected using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the teacher's leadership and exemplary behavior were in very good condition, the religious culture and students' character were in good condition. Hypothesis test results state that there is an influence between leadership behavior, teacher role models, and school culture on student character. The results of this study imply that the better the leadership and exemplary behavior provided by the teacher has a positive impact on shaping the character of students. Likewise the better the culture that is applied in the overall education and learning activities in schools has a very large contribution in shaping the character of students in adapting to the current global environment.

Competition often makes someone do everything to achieve goals. That happens because they aren’t successful in innovating their products, but only imitating and following their competitors. Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) offers a new strategy in competition, which makes competitors, not enemies but makes them more motivated to change the spirit of the institutional environment. The purpose of this research studied BOS in Islamic educational institutions, which includes mapping strategies in creating a market space where there are no competitors, strategies in making the competition irrelevant, and its implications in Islamic educational institutions. This study used qualitative methods through field research type. Data obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and study of documents. The results of this study concluded that: 1) The strategy of mapping educational institutions in creating market opportunities that have no competitors is by creating innovations that do not yet exist in other levels of the educational institution; 2) Institutional strategies in making competition no longer relevant are carried out by always showing innovations that are applied to other institution without a cover-up (always open); 3) The implications of BOS in the educational institution can be seen in terms of the output produced which can be realized through graduates who can be used both in companies and in educational institutions in need.

Modernisation is the consequence of the demands of the development that brings negative impacts to the society. It is undeniable that modernization also brings abundance of positive impacts that ease the life of people and that modernization and humanization cannot be separated. In this context, the youth are considered as unstable being, who easily being controlled by multi-access communication technology; from social, fashion, behaviour, lifestyle, and ideology. Almost all of the damaging sides of technology affect the youth. Religion as the spiritual agent has a major role in combating this change in the society. Religion can act as the social control to hinder from immoral behaviour and worthless actions among the society. The main issue in the current study is to investigate the role of religion in strengthening the moral among the teenagers. This research was conducted by using qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. The participants of this research were the people of the rural areas in Bandar Lampung. After data collection was carried out, the data were processed qualitatively using the data reduction process, data exposure, and data verification. To conclude, the existence of the negative effects of modernization resulted from lack of religious virtues and parents’ control over their children’s social behaviour.

Recently, it is a fact that the genre-based writing English Curriculum in Indonesia either in high or higher education has been implemented for years. Unfortunately, it seems that the student’s writing is not assessed in accordance to the nature of genre based writing itself yet. As a matter of fact, assessment plays important role to success of teaching and learning. A proper assessment instrument leads to the valid and reliable learning achievement or otherwise. In terms of genre based writing, as a typical approach to teaching and learning writing also needs the assessment instrument meeting the nature of the genre based writing itself. This paper is aiming at providing a preliminary understanding and sights of typical instrument for assessing the genre based writing.
