The paper concentrates on researching the possibilities of using modern information technologies in animal production in order to monitor and identify behavior and well-being of cows. Having in mind the challenges related to managing dairy herds, and economic pressure put on breeders (as well as the broadly defined well-being of animals), an endeavor was made to create a new method, which would be competitive in comparison with the existing solutions. The proposed method of collecting data and data processing with beacon devices as well as data warehouse, allows—according to the authors—a more complete identification of behaviors and physiological condition of a dairy herd. It is also worth pointing out that this method is competitive in terms of price. By virtue of the multitude of data that were collected, a decision was made to resign from processing data on a local computer and use a cloud compute engine instead. The presented information system creates a sequence of components, which were subject to verification both on the level of creating and conducting research. Research results that were received were then compared with knowledge presented in the literature. A vital element of validation of the aforementioned methodology was comparing results that were achieved in the course of research work with the system making use of pedometer. The aim of the authors was to develop a new information technology solution, as well as a method based on beacons, which are rather universal devices, with the use of data warehouses, allowing the identification of behavior and physiological state of milk cattle, the method which would be competitive in comparison with the existing solutions, especially in terms of price. In the proposed solution, both information coming from microcomputers and weather forecast data coming from weather forecast stations, which make the above identification easy, were used as data sources.

It is not a secret that information resources are becoming increasingly important in the activities of the enterprises. The development of marketing information systems is associated, first of all, with a change in the role of marketing in the activities of enterprises and the development of new information technologies. If at the first stage of the functioning of marketing information systems, work was carried out with scattered arrays of information coming from the external environment irregularly, then gradually the process of collecting and processing marketing information became more systematized, and the information became more integrated, which facilitated the analysis and use of data within the company, improved the quality data entering the system. The main aim of the marketing information system in enterprises is to transform the available information about the state of the marketing object, as well as about the processes taking place in the marketing environment into the form necessary and perceived by the manager, which allows him to assess the state of the marketing object, the development of the situation, and simulate their change.

For many organizations, the implementation of a new information system (IS) may be the biggest capital expenditure they undertake. If substantial amounts of capital are committed to these developments it follows that every effort is needed to ensure that they are successful for the overall well being of the organization (Maguire & Redman 2007). A considerable amount of disruption can occur when an information system (IS) is introduced. There is a possibility that the IS may also be dysfunctional to the organization for several years after the system has gone ‘live’. (Maguire 2004). There is the thorny issue of how you are going to make sure that your staff are capable of realising the benefits from ICT. You should have a clear idea of what strategies you can adopt with regard to training, who in your company decides on training and where training resources are employed with respect to your overall strategy (Computer Weekly 2007).

The teaching of history is strongly marked by the concern of building, beyond the factual knowledge, a critical conscience in the students. Alongside this, we live in a reality marked by the intense information flow, available through the new information technologies, particularly the internet. In this way, the following problem arises: how to combine this great amount of information with the construction of a critical conscience, based on reliable information? The present case study searches through the use of WebQuests, a strategy that favors the teaching-learning relationship, to support the development of reflection and criticism of both the teacher and the student. Since it allows the teacher to select the resources available in the world-wide web, being able to make possible the contact with instructional materials to the research group involved in this case, students of the second grade of the High School. I selected those that will in fact contribute to the construction of a trustworthy knowledge that stimulates the critical sense when comparing diverse sources and materials, in the midst of an active learning process. According to this teaching-learning perspective, teachers are no longer the main knowledge depository and become methodological consultants and mediators of knowledge. The research is defined as a descriptive and analytical qualitative study, based on a private school in the city of Londrina (Brazil). As a result, it will be verified if the students, after the use of WebQuests, understand the importance of conducting research in so-called trusted places, in addition to perceiving the contributions of the WebQuest in the classroom, validating it.

One of the most promising new information technologies is analytical databases that allow us to analyze the dynamics of the behavior of the control object in the historical aspect. The introduction of analytical databases increases the efficiency of information systems. In particular, one of the criteria for effectiveness is the security of an information system, on which analytical databases have a fairly significant impact, which at first glance is not obvious. In the material of this article, the problems of organizing and implementing security in analytical databases will be considered, as well as the method of logical design of information support for distributed information systems of critical application under the prism of ensuring the security of this system.

Introduction: The modernization of Bulgarian primary school education is directed towards the applied strategies, technologies, approaches, and methods as well as towards the introduction of new information technologies in the educational process in mathematics in primary school.  Object: The object of the present research work is to study certain specific characteristics, opportunities, the field of application and the efficiency of the electronic textbooks and their use by the teachers during the process of learning geometry content in the education of mathematics for Grades 1-4.  Methods: The experimental work includes qualitative and quantitative research of the problems specified in the above paragraph. The following methods were applied: didactical experiment, observation, test, content analysis, mathematical-statistical method for data processing. Results: The researchers performed observations and analysis of the frequency of use of electronic textbooks by the primary school teachers during geometry classes. Based on the results of the study it was found out that 86% of the teachers use electronic textbooks in their methodology work on a regular basis, 10% of them – from time to time and 4% do not use electronic textbooks at all.  The analysis of the entry and the exit diagnostic determined that all student had an equal level of knowledge at the start of the experiment. However, the results on exit level of the knowledge, the skills and the competencies showed that there is significant difference. The results on the exit level of the students from the experimental class where electronic textbooks have been systematically used are from 26% to 34% higher than the results of the students from the referent class where textbook have not been systematically used. Conclusion: The use of electronic textbooks for learning geometry content during mathematics classes in primary school must be scientifically grounded and precise. The introduction of the electronic textbooks into the educational process helps to put the students in an active cognitive position and motivates them for work during mathematics classes.

The article proposes a model for forecasting the success of student’s learning. The model is a Markov process with continuous time, such as the process of “death and reproduction”. As the parameters of the process, the intensities of the processes of obtaining and assimilating information are offered, and the intensity of the process of assimilating information takes into account the attitude of the student to the subject being studied. As a result of applying the model, it is possible for each student to determine the probability of a given formation of ownership of the material being studied in the near future. Thus, in the presence of an automated information system of the university, the implementation of the model is an element of the decision support system by all participants in the educational process. The examples given in the article are the results of an experiment conducted at the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University under conditions of blended learning, that is, under conditions when classroom work is accompanied by independent work with electronic resources.
