Improvement of mobility, especially environment-friendly green mobility, is challenging in existing megacities due to road network complexity and space constraints. Endorsing the bicycle lane network (BLN) in congested megacities is a promising option to foster green mobility. This research presents a novel bioinspired network design method that considers various constraints and preferences related to the megacity for designing an optimal BLN. The proposed method is inspired by natural Physarum polycephalum, a brainless, multi-headed single-celled organism, which is capable of developing a reticulated network of complex foraging behaviors in pursuit of food. The mathematical model of Physarum foraging behavior is adapted to maneuver various BLN constraints in megacity contexts in designing the optimal BLN. The Physarum-inspired BLN method is applied to two case studies on the megacity Dhaka for designing BLNs: the first one covers congested central city area, and the second one covers a broader area that includes major locations of the city. The obtained BLNs were evaluated comparing their available routes between different locations with the existing vehicle routes of the city in terms of distance and required travel times in different time periods, and the BLN routes were found to be suitable alternatives for avoiding congested main roads. The expected travel time using BLNs is shorter than other transport (e.g., car and public bus); additionally, at glance, the average travel speed on BLNs is almost double that of public buses in peak hours. Finally, the designed BLNs are promising for environment-friendly and healthy mobility.

The central zone of the city is the largest group of destination targets and as such attracts a large amount of daily migration. The basic idea of sustainable urban mobility is to provide a better quality space for pedestrians and cyclists as carriers of a sustainable way of movement through the discouragement of individual motorized traffic. The article presents one view of the organization of the city road network with the aim of achieving the sustainability of the system in the central city zone of Banja Luka.

Along the time, the performing art is not just a mere entertainment but also as a necessity for the modern man. Surakarta is the city with the development of the cultural and artistic performance's development, starting from kethoprak, wayang and keroncong that develops and be born in this city. the problem of the design is to create a character from Eco-Cultural element of Javanese culture and environment friendly, to the performing arts building. The problem of the design is how to achieve a performance art in accordance with the changing times which does not leave the local cultural elements. the design method used is the method of approach in order to create a container Eco Cultural arts activities that are capable of adapting to the changing times but still consider the local culture and environment friendly. Result obtained in the form of design cultured Center for the Performing Arts and as an application of enviromentally friendly Eco Cultural character. Building Performing Arts Center is expected as container performing arts activities in Surakarta.

Keyword : Eco Cultural, Perfomance Art

In connection with the important role of the road network and connectivity of public transport in the area of the City of Depok, there is a problem called the missing link. The purpose of this study is reviewed from the aspects of road network performance, connectivity of activity centers, TOD areas and transportation nodes, then obtained by loading the Origin Destination Matrix (MAT) to the road network with the help of transportation modeling software using Saturn. Travel speed between cities/regencies in Jabodetabek or the origin destination of Depok City does not reach the target speed of 40 km/hour, and speeds between regions and within regencies/cities in Depok city. Tangerang Regency and Bekasi Regency have the lowest speeds, with the lowest values being 25.06 km/hour and 25.39 km/hour. So that the need to increase the capacity of the road network to and from Tangerang and Bekasi districts, for Depok city the average speed that occurs within the city is 28.81 km our, so it is necessary to increase the capacity of the road network. The TOD area will have a missing link if the TOD has no connectivity with the mass transit node at a distance of more than 800 meters and is not on the main high-capacity mass transit line, such as the Cinere TOD. The need for handling the missing link TOD area of the road network in the Greater Jakarta area, mainly Cinere - Fatmawati Station. And there is 1 PKN that is not connected by public transportation to other PKN and is not connected with PKW in the same City, namely Cimanggis District, Depok City.

The article is devoted to the justification of the need to reduce the population density in the residential development of cities. The analysis of vulnerability of the urban population from threats of emergency situations of peace and war time, and also an assessment of provision of the city by a road network is given. Proposals have been formulated to reduce the vulnerability of the urban population in the long term and to eliminate traffic congestion and congestion — jams.

In the recent five years, City parks have been developing rapidly in urban cities in Indonesia. Built in 2007, Taman Gajah Tunggal is one of the city parks located in Tangerang. This park is situated at The Center of Tangerang City on the edge of Cisadane River. Like many public spaces in Indonesia, this park has littering issues by visitors’ lack of care. This re- search is offered to develop social marketing by using a digital game for gaining awareness of Taman Gajah Tunggal’s visitors age 17-30 years old about littering issues. This paper focused on developing the prototyping process in iteration design method by using a digital game to suggest possibilities design for future development interactive installation design in public space which can bring a new experience.

There is increasing evidence that ridehailing and other private-for-hire (PfH) services such as taxis and limousines are diverting trips from transit services. One question that arises is where and when PfH services are filling gaps in transit services and where they are competing with transit services that are publicly subsidized. Using weekday trip-level information for trips originating in or destined for the city center of Portland, OR from PfH transportation services (taxis, transportation network companies, limousines) and transit trip data collected from OpenTripPlanner, this study investigated the temporal and spatial differences in travel durations between actual PfH trips and comparable transit trips (the same origin–destination and time of day). This paper contributes to this question and to a growing body of research about the use of ridehailing and other on-demand services. Specifically, it provides a spatial and temporal analysis of the demand for PfH transportation using an actual census of trips for a given 2 week period. The comparison of trip durations of actual PfH trips to hypothetical transit trips for the same origin–destination pairs into or out of the central city gives insights for policy making around pricing and other regulatory frameworks that could be implemented in time and space.

Since the late 20th century major, European cities have exhibited large projects driven by neoliberal urban planning policies whose aim is to enhance their position on the global market. By locating these projects in central city areas, they also heighten and reinforce their privileged situation within the city as a whole, thus contributing to deepening the centre–periphery rift. The starting point for this study is the significance and scope of large projects in metropolitan cities’ urban planning agendas since the final decade of the 20th century. The aim of this article is to demonstrate the correlation between the various opposing conservative and progressive urban policies, and the projects put forward, for the city of Madrid. A study of documentary sources and the strategies deployed by public and private agents are interpreted in the light of a process during which the city has had a succession of alternating governments defending opposing urban development models. This analysis allows us to conclude that the predominant large-scale projects proposed under conservative policies have contributed to deepening the centre–periphery rift appreciated in the city.
