The issues of renewable energy, energy crisis, and carbon reduction have caught people’s attention all over the world, and governments have put forth greater effort to proactively solve these problems. Electric transportation not only benefits the environment, but can also utilize renewable energy to prevent an energy crisis. Based on previous theoretical strands of the literature, this research integrates the technology readiness and acceptance model (TRAM) into the norm activation model (NAM) and proposes an integrated model denoted as TRA-NAM. It takes TRA-NAM as our theoretical foundation and aims to explore the effect of technology readiness and awareness of consequence on the intention toward using an electric scooter (ES). The results display that technology readiness positively influences perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use and further improves consumers’ intention toward adopting ES. In addition, personal norm mediates the relationship between awareness of consequence and intention to adopt ES. This study offers the integrated TRAM-NAM model in order to understand the crucial factors affecting consumers’ intention to adopt electric vehicles (EVs). Overall, this research fills the gap in the field of government policies and transportation and proposes ponderable suggestions, in particular that if they want to encourage or attract consumers to drive an ES, they should not overlook the effect of technology readiness and awareness of consequence.

The global temperature has reached its highest level since the start of the industrial revolution, which is the major cause of global warming. Global warming has become one of the gravest problem now a days as it has considerable influences over markets, societies and economies. For sustainable environment management, remarkable efforts are carried out across the world and every institution is playing its role towards minimizing its impact on the environment. From financial institutions, banking sector is playing an important role in this regard. Banking sector has introduced a concept of Green Banking (GB). State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has recently issued guidelines regarding the adoption of green banking. This study attempts to identify the factors which affect bankers’ intension to adopt green banking. This study would prove to be helpful in identifying the most influencing factors towards adoption of green banking practices and in developing policies towards its adoption in Pakistan. Structured questionnaire based on a 7 point Likert scale as used for data collection from a sample of 300 respondents. Regression analysis was used to check the association among the variables. The result of study shows that all independent variables of study have shown significant association with dependent variable. Which means to some extent every independent factor is playing role in affecting bankers’ behavioral intension to adopt green banking. Result shows that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use contribute more in predicting the Attitude toward use, which along with effort expectancy and performance expectancy are major contributing factors towards behavioral intention to adopt green banking practices.

Abstract Recently, the Malaysian government has targeted to achieve the 20% renewable-energy goal by 2025. Despite the Malaysian government’s having taken initiatives in promoting the use of renewable energy for more than a decade, to date, more than three-quarters of the electricity supply in Peninsular Malaysia is generated from the burning of fossil fuels. Apparently, the development of renewable energy is still slow and in its infancy. The current study intends to identify the predictors (environmentalism, cost, knowledge and personal innovativeness) that influence the residential intention to adopt solar photovoltaic (PV) in Klang Valley. This study adopts the technology acceptance model as the theoretical framework to analyse the mediation effect on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness between the determinants and the intention to adopt solar PV. Self-administered questionnaires are used to collect data from non-solar PV users who stay in Klang Valley. Structural equation modelling analysis was carried out on the 200 samples from data collection. The findings demonstrated that environmentalism is having a significant impact on the intention to adopt solar PV, followed by knowledge. The perceived usefulness mediates the relationship between the predictors and the intention to use solar PV, although no mediation effect was found for the perceived ease of use. Lastly, several implications are highlighted to the policymakers and solar-market practitioners to improve the existing policies and promote solar PV adoptions among residents.

This paper examines factors affecting the intention to adopt mobile value‐added services (MVS) by women's micro and small businesses (WMSBs) in the Kingdom of Tonga. Previous research on technology acceptance reveals that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect the intent to use technologies. Nevertheless, studies on behavior propose that societal values affect the intent to use. The study tries to fill the gap by examining those three variables' effects on the intent to adopt MVS in Tonga—a Pacific island nation that embraces a distinctive culture of mutuality and sharing. After surveying 267 women microbusiness owners, the study reveals that the most influential determinant of intent to use MVS is social support. Social support also affects perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of MVS. Therefore, in collective cultures such as Tonga, leaders and decision-makers should involve social networks to expand the adoption of technologies.

With the rapid growth of information technology, electronic money has played an important and central role in the e-payment. Development of electronic money is able to create a trend less-cash society, which is a society’s behavior using non- cash transactions by utilizing the simplicity offered through electronic transactions. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting the intention to use electronic money. We designed a questionnaire and used it to survey a simple random sampling of people who use of e-money in DKI Jakarta. The actual samples used for the study are 125 respondents. We analyzed the data using Structured Equation Modeling to evaluate the strength of the hypothesized effects. The result of the analysis showed that perceived ease of use has no significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Perceived ease of use has a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of e-money. Perceived usefulness has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Attitude has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Subjective norm has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived behavioral control has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Purpose This paper aims to offer and examine a conceptual model of tourist innovativeness toward self-service technologies (SSTs) to confirm whether tourists prefer service delivery by SSTs over employees in an offline hospitality environment. Design/methodology/approach Tourists’ perceived usefulness (PU) of SSTs and need for interaction (NI) with service employees have been taken as crucial mediating variables to examine the effects of perceived ease of use and technology readiness index personality dimensions toward SST and employee-based service adoption. Findings Findings reveal that both “NI” and “PU” play significant roles in Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model (TRAM) when tourists select one of two service delivery options – SSTs and service employees. Research limitations/implications The foremost limitation of the study is its dependence on domestic tourist samples. However, such samples were chosen because tourists comprising these samples tend to use similar service delivery options more, in turn increasing their use of SSTs available in sample hotels. Practical implications The study gives a deeper understanding of TRAM with an extremely crucial mediating variable (NI) in an offline service context. It also provides useful insights to service providers and policy makers for developing new strategies and policies to enhance user experience. Social implications This study recommends the usage of numerous SSTs by tourists. Originality/value During extensive literature review carried out in this research, no study was found that proposed such an effective framework in an offline service context.

This study aims to examine the factors influencing consumers' behavior intention to adopt mobile banking apps. The research uses the TAM model with additional variables such as social influence and perceived risk to evaluate how these factors impact the behavior intention of young customers toward adopting mobile banking services. PLS-SEM was used as the main research method. The findings from this paper reaffirmed that perceived usefulness and social influence are the most influential factor in behavior intention, but perceived ease of use and perceived risk showed insignificant impacts on young consumers' behavior intention in Vietnam. This paper also found that perceived ease of use had no direct impact on behavior intention but an indirect impact through facilitating perceived usefulness. This subject makes a practical and academic contribution in the context of a developing country where is lacking research in mobile banking apps.

Abstract Wikis, being one of the popular Web 2.0 tools, have impacted students’ engagement and performance particularly in the aspects of second and foreign language learning. While an increasing number of studies have focused on the effectiveness of wiki in improving students’ writing skills, this study was conducted to examine the attitudinal factors that influence English as a Second Language (ESL) students’ group collaboration in using wikis for a writing task that was divided into three phases: pre-writing, individual-construction, joint-constructions. Data collected from these students after completing this task was analyzed based on three attitudinal aspects: motivation, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use. The findings reveal high mean scores for all aspects. Further multiple regression analysis reveals that motivation is the most important factor associated with group collaboration, indicating the need to boost students’ motivation to encourage effective collaboration in completing wiki writing tasks.

Abstract: This study aims to develop and test the integrative model of the factors affecting customers’ acceptance intention of the adoption of blockchain technology. Data were collected from a sample of 195 customers who have been conducting transactions at Dong A Bank – Hue branch. Samples are selected by using the systematic random sampling method. Structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to test the hypothesized relationships. The findings indicate that six out of eight tested relationships are supported. Perceived usefulness (PU) and Perceived ease of use (PEU) are the most critical factors affecting customers’ Attitude (AT). Attitude also has a direct and positive correlation to customers’ acceptance Intention (IN). Notably, Personal characteristics (PC) and Risk perception (RP) are the two most influential factors affecting Perceived usefulness. And, the Perceived ease of use factor is only affected by customers’ Self-command (SC). In general, this study contributes to enriching the existing knowledge of blockchain adoption in banks and helps banks figure out an efficient way to adopt blockchain technology.Keywords: customers’ acceptance, blockchain adoption, Dong A Bank, Hue branch

Present study is an attempt to measure technology readiness of Indian customers towards self checkout service (SCS) through mobile app at retail stores at Hyderabad, India. Self-checkout services (SCS), a key offering of self service technology (SST), ‘is the technological enablement of customers to make payments and complete a checkout, after shopping, with little or no interaction with a service employee.’ Researchers also studied correlations between technology readiness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and likelihood to use SCS. For the purpose of the study TRI 2.0 developed by Parasuraman and Colby (2015) was used along with items of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, adapted from Davis (1989) , and items of ‘likelihood to use’ adapted from Bitner, Ostrom and Meuter (2002) . The findings of the study reveal that respondents’ technology readiness was moderate with respect to mobile based SCS. Significant positive correlations were found between: technology readiness and perceived ease of use, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and likelihood to use, perceived usefulness and likelihood to use. Further the respondents were categorised in to five technology segments as sceptics, explorers, pioneers, avoiders and hesitators.

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors affecting interests of taxpayers in using efiling facility. The independent variables of this research are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security and privacy, complexity, readiness technology taxpayers information and human resources. Data used in this research is primary data by using questionnaires. Respondent are the Individual Taxpayers who used e-filing.This research used multiple linear regression analysis that involved 108 respondents. The results show that: (1) perceived usefulness affects positively the intention to use E-filing, (2) perceived ease of use affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (3) security and privacy affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (4) complexity affects negatively the intention to use E-filing, (5) Readiness Technology Taxpayers Information affects positively the intention to use E-Filing (6) Human Resources affects positively the intention to use E-Filing
