Globally, fire causes considerable losses that can be alleviated by taking appropriate actions facilitated by systems supported by geo-information technologies. This research focuses upon the development of an approach for planning urban infrastructures, and particularly in the accessibility of fire hydrants. Accessibility of fire hydrants’ infrastructure in urban territories is one of the key elements in fire risk management and public safety. The main result of the research is a comprehensive and structured Geographic Information Systems (GISs)-based dataset for the fast and more efficient planning of fire hydrants in urban territories. The proposed framework for data collection and processing was used to determine the distribution of hydrants, location of fire brigade stations and areas and to demonstrate the capabilities of the existing municipal fire extinguishing systems in Vilnius City, Lithuania. Later on, research on fire hydrants’ accessibility, analysis of the location of protected and unprotected urban territories and marking of unprotected buildings, was carried out. The resulting map of unprotected urban territories can be of great benefit for understanding fire risks and offering more effective ways for fire risk management.

The paper discusses the photogrammetric methods and process of creating geodata for aeronautical information databases. Efficient technology for collecting data on terrain, obstacles and cartographic information using satellite and aerial photos is given. The measurement, selection and evaluation of spatial data have met the international requirements for the completeness and accuracy as well as the developed structure of the attribute data base. The advantages of digital photogrammetric system and geographic information systems as the main software for aeronautical data gathering, are considered.

ABSTRACT

This research aims to develop a didactic proposal for the use of Geographic Information Technologies (TIG), which will allow authorities to access more resources to make better decisions in tasks of monitoring, controlling and responding to the COVID -19 (disease associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection) pandemic. Efficiency of business processes in modern organizations depends on the capabilities of applied information technologies. The article describes and analyzes the role and features of audit tools and other methodological tools and models in ensuring the quality and security of information systems. The standard’s principles are reviewed, as well as the importance of meeting business needs. In order to protect virtual values in a company’s system environment, the importance of using information security models is revealed. Practical proposals in risk management and information security in information technology are analyzed through the COBIT standard. Measures for protecting the information system of an organization from accidental, deliberate or fake threats are considered. The possibility of using one of the real information security models by the information recipient or provider in accordance with the requirements of external processes is reported. Furthermore, in connection with increase in the number of attack methods and techniques and development of their new tools and vectors, the need to improve and ways to ensure information security are being considered. The essential tasks of security audit are considered, and the stages of their implementation are described. With regard to security of information systems, an analytical model is proposed for determining vulnerability’s numerical value.

This article examines the use of geographic information systems in school education, especially in geography lessons. Information environment of schools today needs to actively change the content, methods and organizational forms of General education students in the transition school to education in the context of expanded access to information. Space school education today poses new challenges for the organization of educational space, which will allow to train specialists of higher level. Thus, organization of educational space using the tools of geographic information systems is already a recognized need. Modern teachers actively use information technologies in their lessons, allowing you to develop and improve intellectual and creative abilities of pupils, to expand their horizons. It is a good app improve the efficiency of the educational process allows to involve a process of students with different abilities.. Implementation of space technologies into educational process for the study of geography, ecology, history, natural history and other subjects – effective use of information educational space of the school.

In this chapter, the model used to measure and maximize IS availability is described. The method of selecting independent variables will be presented, with a detailed definition of each variable in the model. This section presents a model based on Bayesian network, utility theory and influence diagrams. Finally, a method for probability elicitation through an interview with domains experts will be described, as recommended data collection model, for cases where it is not possible to set parameter' values based on learning from data.

The purpose of this study is to develop a master plan for mapping joint cellular telecommunication BTS towers in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Number : 02/Per/M.Kominfo/03/2008 regarding the use of towers together. The method used to collect and process data and analyze the distribution zone using MapInfo software. The data collection was an existing BTS towers and population which calculating and find the need of towers in the future by calculating the number of residents, users, traffic, then processed to calculate the number of BTS and shared towers and through coverage the possible distribution zones of the towers described through MapInfo are determined. The results obtained are a master plan containing predictions of the need for BTS towers in 2029 as many as 43 BTS with each tower occupied by a maximum of 3 providers so as to minimize the occurrence of tower forests and an overview of the pattern regarding the distribution of shared towers using the MapInfo software.
