Indonesia is entering the 4.0 revolution, which brings many changes in all fields, including technology. The most extensive new technology is decentralized with transparent, convenient, permanent, and irreplaceable characteristics, commonly known as Blockchain. Blockchain has been applied in all fields, especially in the field of technology. But Blockchain technology is currently still in the pilot stage which has some issues and needs to be resolved. These include regulatory difficulties, limited information processing capacity, and data confidentiality. This article describes the ability to implement Blockchain technology in educational, financial accounting. Therefore, this study proposes a framework design for higher education finance to improve the security of the ledger. In the long term, this platform can efficiently reduce disclosure and earnings management errors, improve the quality of educational accounting data, and reduce data asymmetry. The analysis method by calculating the SUS score against the accounting Blockchain system shows 85, so this framework is included in the Net Promoter category. The final result of this research can optimize financial finance in higher education by using Blockchain.

Recent unprecedented advances in digital technologies and their concomitant affordances in education seem to be a great opportunity to adequately address burgeoning demand for high quality higher education (HE) and the changing educational preferences. It is increasingly being recognised that using new technology effectively in HE is essential to prepare students for its increasing demand. E-learning is an integral component of the University of Botswana’s teaching and learning culture, however, teachers who are from a traditional educational system are often ill-prepared to change their role from the all-knowing “sage on the stage” who operated under the “transmission” model, to the “guide on the side” which adopts new technologies effectively for student learning. Therefore, this paper argues that one of the ways to achieve substantial pedagogical innovations is to bring a significant change in the understanding of the processes of the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). This paper explores new directions for conducting scholarly activities at the University of Botswana (UB) to address the needs of today’s students, concluding with a call for a collaborative approach to teaching, research, and publishing to enhance student learning experience in diversified and socially rich collaborative learning contexts.

The vision of higher education organizations is needed to show the goals and how the higher education organizations work. With a vision, the activities of organizational members can be moved, directed and controlled to achieve organizational goals. In addition to being disseminated to members of the organization, the vision must also be introduced to stakeholders and the wider community as a way to create an institutional branding. One of the ways that a vision can be remembered easily is to use color symbols of the institution strategic elements. This article discusses how to design color concepts based on organizational vision and apply them to architectural elements of buildings. Vision always changes over time. On the other hand, buildings have a relatively longer life. The architect's task is to align the design age of higher education architecture so that it is always in line with its vision. Research location at Unhas Tamalanrea Campus Makassar with consideration of the level of organizational complexity. The research method uses a constructive paradigm. Data collection was carried out using the review of institutional documents, in-depth interviews, FGD, and transactional dialogue with the academic community. This research is conducted since the preparation of the Unhas Strategic Plan’s 2006-2010, 2011-2015, and 2016-2020. The results of the discussion are in the form of a concept recommendation for the vision color of the institution.

Blockchain has emerged as an important concept at the interface of ICT and higher education. It is a system in which a record of transactions is maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network. Hence, it allows the creation of a decentralized environment, where data are not under the control of any third-party organization. This study presents a Systematic Bibliometric Literature Review (LRSB in further text) of research on blockchain applications in the higher education field. The review integrated 37 articles presenting up-to-date knowledge on current implications pertaining to the use of blockchain technology for improving higher education processes. The LRSB findings indicate that blockchain is being used to build up new interventions to improve the prevailing ways of sharing, delivering and securing knowledge data and personal student records. The application of blockchain technology is carrying on a conceptual progress in the higher education sector where it has added substantial value by ameliorated efficiency, effectiveness, privacy control, technological improvement and security of data management mechanisms. Challenges posed by current literature and further research directions are suggested.

UNSTRUCTURED The word blockchain elicits thoughts of cryptocurrency much of the time, which does disservice to this disruptive new technology. Agreed, bitcoin launched in 2011 was the first large scale implementation of blockchain technology. Also, Bitcoin’s success has triggered the establishment of nearly 1000 new cryptocurrencies. This again lead to the delusion that the only application of blockchain technology is for the creation of cryptocurrency. However, the blockchain technology is capable of a lot more than just cryptocurrency creation and may support such things as transactions that require personal identification, peer review, elections and other types of democratic decision-making and audit trails. Blockchain exists with real world implementations beyond cryptocurrencies and these solutions deliver powerful benefits to healthcare organizations, bankers, retailers and consumers among others. One of the areas where blockchain technology can be used effectively is healthcare industry. Proper application of this technology in healthcare will not only save billions of money but also will contribute to the growth in research. This review paper briefly defines blockchain and deals in detail the applications of blockchain in various areas particularly in healthcare industry.

The forced work of Russian universities remotely in the context of the pandemic (COVID-19) has generated a lot of discussion about the benefits of the new form of education. The first results were summed up and reports were presented, the materials of which showed that the main goal of online education — the prevention of the spread of infection, - has been achieved. Against this background, proposals and publications have appeared substantiating the effectiveness of the massive introduction of distance learning in Russia, including in higher education. However, the assessment of such training by the population and students in publications and in social networks was predominantly negative and showed that the number of emerging problems exceeds the possible benefits of the new educational technology. Based on the analysis of the materials of publications and personal experience of teaching online, the potential benefits and problems of distance learning in higher education in Russia are considered. It is proposed to consider the effects separately for the suppliers of new technology (government, universities) and consumers (students, teachers, society). It is substantiated that the massive introduction of online education allows not only to reduce the negative consequences of epidemics, but also to reduce budgetary funding for universities, optimize the age composition of teachers, and reduce the cost of maintaining educational buildings. However, there will be a leveling / averaging of the quality of education, and responsibility for the quality of training will shift from the state/universities to students. The critical shortcomings of online education are the low degree of readiness of the digital infrastructure, the lack of a mechanism for identifying and monitoring the work of students, information security problems, and the lack of trust in such training of the population. The massive use of online education creates a number of risks for the country, the most critical of which is the destruction of the higher education system and a drop in the effectiveness of personnel training. The consequences of this risk realization are not compensated by any possible budget savings.

Abstract This research ferreted out to inspect the interconnection between emotional intelligence (EI), Blockchain technology application (BLO) and the effectiveness of Accounting information system (AIS). Survey-based data obtained from 412 respondents were applied to validate the model hypotheses. Building on the statistical analysis with the support of SPSS 25.0 and SMART- PLS (partial least squares) 3.2.8 software package, the model results inferred the impact of EI on BLO. Besides, the outputs of the study accentuated on the importance of BLO on the effectiveness of AIS. These significant additions will optimistically inspire other scholars to carry on exploring the relationship between EI and BLO in enhancing the effectiveness of AIS in research settings as well as in explaining the results. On the other hand, taking these results into consideration could promote much better solutions for issues relevant to EI and new technology application among public sector organization (PSO) in term of increasing the performance of AIS.

The present study revisits the Factors Influencing Teaching Choice (FIT-Choice) framework and explores what motivates business management academicians in teaching virtually. The revisit is based on a quantitative cross-sectional research design using 256 responses collected from in-service business management academicians teaching post-graduate business courses in India, through a structured questionnaire. The exercise of revisiting the FIT-Choice framework in the context of virtual teaching in business management courses led us to find four new variables, that is, task demand and expert career, teaching efficacy, knowledge assimilation and institutional utility value, as well as suggest revising teaching and learning experience, task returns and values. The results reveal that some additional factors motivating business academicians are teaching efficacy, content expertise, learning of new technology, futuristic growth and opportunities, alternative career opportunities and personal branding. The study provides suggestions to the apex bodies, regulators of higher education and institutions to take a call on motivational and influential factors while drafting the job requirements in business schools. Finally, the study emphasizes the importance of infrastructural and technological development required to be achieved by higher education institutions.
