Numerous contributions corroborate the need to include emotional education and the development of emotional competencies at school to improve students’ school learning and well-being. The present study aims to learn more about the development of emotional competencies in primary school students, taking into account gender differences across different cycles and analyzing the potential link with students’ overall academic performance. Participants were 2389 primary school students (51.2% boys and 48.8% girls), aged from 6 to 12, from 21 public and semi-private schools in Spain. The study is a non-experimental quantitative study, using an ex-post-facto descriptive method. The Emotional Development Questionnaire (CDE 9-13), the Emotional Competencies Observation Scale, and the overall grade point average were applied to the sample. The results show significant differences in favor of girls in the development of most emotional competencies in all three educational cycles. Differences were also observed in academic performance by gender in the primary school cycle, with girls achieving higher grades. At the same time, positive correlations were found between academic performance and emotional competencies. The results confirm the importance of including emotional education in primary education.

The main aim of this study is to check whether there are differences in some variables related to attitudes towards math in primary school students according to the course and gender. The sample consists of 897 students of the fifth and sixth year of primary education (50.2% boys and 49.8% girls). The results indicate that the boys, compared to girls, have a higher perceived competence in math, they are more intrinsically motivated extrinsic and exhibit lower levels of anxiety. As for the differences in terms of this variable, the results indicate that students in grade 5 have a higher perceived competence for math, perceive most useful, are more intrinsically motivated to this subject and show anxiety levels and some negative feelings toward the lower than grade 6. Therefore, girls show a "profile" of less adaptive than men conditions, both in terms of their perceived competition as their motivation towards math and also in terms of the emotions associated with this matter. As for the differences depending on the course, students from grade 5 are those with a much more positive attitudinal and motivational conditions than grade 6.

Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) Module - Creative Guidance is designed to prevent irrational thoughts, lower aggressive behavior, and increase self-esteem. This module contains seven sub-modules based on behavioral approaches based on the theory of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) by Albert Ellis (1955) and integrated with creative Guidance. It combines elements of Music, technology, and play. To measure the validity of the content, the certification method by five experts was used while 40 primary school students aged 11 years were selected to follow the guidance program using this module. It is run for two weeks in a row. The findings of the study show that the REBT-Creative Guidance Module has a content validity index value of 80%., The cost of Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of Creative REBT-Guidance Module is high at .978. Reliability with an amount.930 In conclusion, new contributions to guidance and counseling teachers in Malaysia. It is also suitable for use in a local context focused on primary school students. Counselors can also use this module, Teachers or facilitators as one of the alternative interventions for primary school students throughout Malaysia, especially on the Development and Development of Student Personality, Improving Student Discipline, Improving Student Careers and Psychosocial and Mental Well-Being.

Today, increasingly more attention is given to knowledge construction. In this article it is discussed how much nature, its objects and phenomena features are important forming a certain system of knowledge about nature. Research show that features cannot be ignored, one should focus and reconsider how our students are guided towards feature identification. During the first years of life, the child already experiences specific environmental features. Later, the knowledge of features (to remember, cognize, define…) and understanding (to retell, explain...) guide further: teach to compare, group, classify. The analysis aim was to give methodological advice to primary school teachers and to all interested in natural science education on how to teach students to cognize and understand the features of natural objects, phenomena and to develop comparison, grouping and classification abilities. Aims: 1) to discuss what it is a feature; 2) to analyse what the feature’s expression is in preschool and pre-primary education programmes; 3) to present activity episodes, task examples on how to teach during nature cognition lessons to recognize features according to which the procedures of comparison, grouping, and classification are possible. Introducing what the feature is, the synonyms of features are introduced as well (feature, peculiarity, criterion, symptom), it is explained what the feature defines, what the difference is between quantitative and qualitative features. Discussing the feature expression in education programmes, 4 programmes were analysed on this question (preschool, pre-primary school, primary school world cognition programme and standardised world cognition programme). Clarity, accuracy, attention to detail of the discussed question has been noticed in the standardised world cognition programme. The questions of how to teach primary school students to be observant and to find natural object features, and what to do having found them are shared in the third part of the article. Several concrete recommendations are given here on how to teach to recognize some or other animate and inanimate natural object and phenomena features. Together are presented orientation questions, objective commentaries, possible students’ answers because the author has already tried these activities with the primary school students. BACKGROUND: Because of wrong sitting position, children have back-pain and related musculoskeletal pain (MPD). Due to inappropriate designed class furniture by not taking into account the children’s anthropometric measurements have negative effect on children musculoskeletal systems. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis has changed the furniture industry’s production trends. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to develop a new fuzzy based design of ergonomic-oriented classroom furniture for primary school students considering the measured anthropometric dimensions of students’ safety, health, well-being, i.e. ergonomic criteria, socio-psychological aspect and post-COVID policies. METHODS: In the study 2049 number of primary school students are assessed considering COVID-19 pandemic policies and their static anthropometric dimensions were measured between 7-10-year-old (between 1st-4th grade students) and descriptive statistics of children among their ages and genders are calculated; mean, standard deviation, percentiles. The data collected from the students were analyzed quantitatively by using Significance Analysis: Mann-Whitney U test statistic, t-test, Regression Analysis and one-way ANOVA. In the study interviews with experts are performed and fuzzy mathematical model (by using fuzzy-AHP, fuzzy-TOPSIS and fuzzy-VIKOR) is developed to calculate Turkey’s three schools’ furniture. RESULTS: Results showed statistically significant differences between two genders. And it is observed that the seating bench height is too high for primary school students and lower than the height of the classroom’s blackboard from the floor. Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making Method’s (FMCDM) results show that primary school students’ ergonomic classroom furniture should be mainly designed by considering “COVID-19 Criteria”, “Ergonomic Criteria” and “Socio-Psychological Aspect”. Students’ existing seating benches and tables are changed by considering post-COVID policies/protocols, Ergonomic Criteria and Socio-Psychological Aspect. And a new seating bench/chair and table’s dimensions is proposed in the study. CONCLUSIONS: Children study at school for long periods and their activities involve long periods of time on their desks in schools. As per the results of the study, it can be concluded that school management must consider the genders, ages of students and take into account the post-COVID policies/protocols while procuring the classroom furniture. The COVID-19 pandemic is the single largest event to have affected children globally in their access to school in recent times; estimates suggest that over 85%of the world’s total enrolled learners, 1.5 billion children and youths, have been affected. The coronavirus pandemic also creates dramatic changes for the school furniture.

Despite the general agreement that the interdisciplinary model of physical education (PE), based on the incorporation of core academic subjects into the PE curriculum, stimulates the holistic development of students, there is still a lack of methods for its implementation. Therefore, Eduball was created, i.e., a method that uses educational balls with printed letters, numbers, and other signs. Numerous studies have shown that children participating in activities with Eduballs can develop their physical fitness while simultaneously improving their academic performance, particularly in math and language, including some writing skills. However, little is known about the effects of Eduball on children’s graphomotor skills, which are key for the academic performance of students throughout the entire schooling process. Here, we investigate whether 6-month participation in PE with Eduball stimulates graphomotor skills in primary school students, such as drawing prehandwriting letter patterns on unlined or lined paper and rewriting text on unlined or lined paper. Our results show that the Eduball class (N= 28) significantly improved these skills compared to the control class (N= 26) participating in traditional PE. For example, students from the experimental group wrote with a lower pen pressure and better stability of the line, in contrast to those from the control group. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the Eduball method successfully supports teachers in developing graphomotor skills in children. More broadly, our findings make clear once again that there is the need to integrate physical and cognitive development in education, which can be achieved by using an interdisciplinary model of PE.

Schools promote all-round education for each of their students. This requires teachers to work on all of the possibilities offered by a subject, including mathematical ability. This process of adjustment and individualization is essential for students who have excellent performance or aptitudes. This study uses an ex post facto, descriptive and quantitative research methodology to examine the results of giving the online version of the Evaluation Battery for Mathematical Ability (BECOMA On) to 3795 5th-year primary school students. The sample was selected from 147 Spanish schools from 16 autonomous regions and 2 autonomous municipalities. Three levels of performance were identified, 3 being the highest, and different statistical indices were calculated for each of them. The results were also analyzed according to sex, with statistically significant differences in the highest performance level. In addition, the study highlighted a diagnostic gap in the identification of higher capacity students, a pending challenge for education systems for the educational inclusion of all students.
