In the production system, the production of a perfect item is essential for existing competitive market situations. To produce a perfect finished product, the quality of a raw material is a crucial issue of a production system. This paper has examined this issue with an insightful production-inventory model of the manufacturer of a deteriorating item selling goods to multiple markets with different selling seasons. We have provided an answer strategy to track down the optimal production plan for raw materials and the ideal creation plan for completed items. Transportation cost was incorporated for transporting the raw material. Marketing of the finished product is another crucial factor for selling products and earning revenues. The main objective of the present study is to adopt a production model in inventory for inferring request capacities for multi-item, multi-outlet circumstances. As of late, much accentuation has been given to the consideration of the control and support of creation inventories of disintegrating things. The demand rate is persistent and holding cost is a direct function of time. This paper has followed an analytical approach to diminish the entire inventory cost. Finally, a sensitivity analysis was performed to study the effect of changes of different parameters of the model on the optimal policy. Moreover, in order to approve the determined models, we have clarified mathematical models and examined affectability.

The joint lot sizing and scheduling problem can be considered as an evolvement of the joint economic lot size problem which has drawn researchers’ interests for decades. The objective of this paper is to find the effect of a capacitated multi-period supply chain design parameters on joint lot sizing and scheduling decisions for different holding and penalty costs. The supply chain deals with two raw materials suppliers. The production facility produces two products which are shipped to customers through distribution centers. A mathematical model is developed to determine optimum quantities of purchased raw materials, production schedule (MPS), delivered quantities and raw material and products inventory for predetermined number of periods. The model is solved to maximize total supply chain profits. Results showed that at high capacity and low holding cost, the supply chain tends to produce only one product each period, for limited capacity and high value of holding cost, the supply chain may produce the two products together each period.

The utilization of geopolymer 3D printing for construction products in recent years has been exceptionally substantial, owing to their low carbon dioxide emissions, high-performance properties such as durability, and good thermal and mechanical properties. This automated manufacturing process reduces the need for additional formworks, capital investments, and human resources. Geopolymer 3D printing development is emerging because of its advanced use in construction applications. However, high costs of the initial stages of geopolymer production and 3D printing has inhibited the development of this technology in many countries. This research presents a comprehensive economic evaluation of the investment for each principal stage that facilitates a better deployment of the resources. The study investigated all phases of geopolymer production, from the extraction of raw materials to printing. The cost for the four fundamental stages, namely raw material availability and transportation, pretreatments for raw materials, parameter selection and strength requirements, and printing in factories and on construction sites, were analyzed. The results show that 3D printing of a geopolymer on a construction site is economically more advantageous compared to printing in the factory. The study also verified that raw material transportation cost has the least effect on the finished product cost, whereas pretreatments of raw material and mixing parameters significantly influenced the ultimate cost of the product. Finally, research work suggested the need for future tasks to make geopolymer 3D printing a viable construction approach.

PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang is an engineering company engaged in fabrication, machining and side parts. PT. Tri Jaya Teknik started pioneering a business since 2007 and started owning and occupying its own workshop in 2009. Currently the company already has 2 plant workshops with a total area of 3,080 m2 and has about 100 employees. One of the products produced is Fuji seat, based on the data collected there are 3 parts of the process. The 3 parts of the process are repair 1, repair 2, repair 3. With each there is a check parts & packing table. The method used in companies to manage raw material inventories is still conventional, namely by making continuous purchases without estimating according to needs. So that there is often an excess of raw materials or a shortage of raw materials at a certain time, this makes the costs incurred inefficient and often disrupts the production process. A review of the inventory capacity of Fuji Seat products in this study was carried out using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model. The main raw material inventory data used is Fuji Seat in the 2016-2019 period. Holding cost raw materials is set by PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang is 2.5% of the price per pcs, this value is used for procurement and repair of tools and equipment in the warehouse. If there is no damage, the cost is allocated to the warehouse manager in that month. Meanwhile, the cost of ordering which consists of the price of goods and shipping costs is determined by PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang, amounting to IDR 100,000.00. This fee includes administration and transportation costs. Administrative costs, namely executive salaries and other supporters, as well as taxes related to the company. The cost of shipping transport is the distance traveled and the weight of the product ordered. Based on the calculation of EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), the most economical amount of raw materials using the EOQ model is 6,815.5 Pcs with 187 purchases a year. PT.

Inventory of raw materials is the initial process in planning and controlling production. Because by planning and controlling raw materials, it becomes one of the processes to produce an optimal production system. In order for raw material inventory to be controlled, the MRP method is used in its completion. In the case study at CV Ajax Sport, it is known that controlling raw material inventory using MRP produces an inventory value of Rp. 139,911,944,- for 12 weeks, with the number of orders for F300 raw materials as many as 71,716 units and for G300 raw materials as many as 67,297 units. And this value shows a very large value both financially and product units, so it must be managed appropriately and accurately.
