This paper is dedicated to the life of the Soviet geographer Viktor Borisovich Sochava (1905-1978), who contributed substantially to the geosystemic theory formation in the field of knowledge of Geography, Ecology, and Geosciences in general. The paper covers his academic trajectory and scientific production, pointing out V. Sochava’s main research and contributions for landscape analysis and evolution and development of these disciplines in theoretical and applied sciences. The main results of V. Sochava’s research are also presented throughout the text.

According to a worldwide well-known attitude, also in Italy, the assessment of scientific production in the last decades has been progressively based on the analysis of the impact through bibliometric variables. Various data sets, such as Scopus by Elsevier and Web of Science by Thomson Reuters, are designed and maintained to index a steadily increasing range of essays: mostly journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. The indexing relays on the capacity to evaluate and update specific impact measures by keeping track of the citations representing the relations between the essays. The related opportunity to interpret bibliographic systems as research and development (R&D) networks attracted the interest of scientists operating, beyond the field of bibliometric analysis, in the realm of social networking. Network analysis belongs to mechanical statistics and is able to make sense of interconnected systems including very large sets of nodes and links. In this paper, we present a network approach to the review of the scientific production in the time period January, 2003-June, 2016 of Italian agricultural engineers, namely scientists belonging to the Italian ministerial scientific disciplinary sector AGR/10 - rural buildings and agro-forestry territory. Starting from 238 articles indexed in the Web of Knowledge database and published by 87 AGR/10 scholars, we apply four network analysis approaches to the study of the citations among articles, the most influential journals and topics, the co-authorship, the most favourite keywords with their evolution in time, and the communities’ pattern. We discover that Italian agricultural engineers are interlaced in a sparse network with a still limited tendency toward citing each other and are inclined to team up in established research groups based on a single university. As for the dualism between rural buildings and territory, we document on a relevant expansion of the issues related to landscape analysis and planning and a continuous renewal of studies concerning the relation between rural buildings and biomass and energy management. We advance that Italian agricultural engineers are not confronted anymore with two monolithic macro themes, i.e. building design and landscape analysis and planning. Instead, the complexity and interplay between these two domains has dramatically increased in a somehow diverging universe of even more specialised and trans-scale topics.

Objective – This study aims to analyze the scientific production on the topic of Industry 4.0. Theoretical framework – The work presented a literary review about the concept, how Industry 4.0. has developed and its characteristics. Design/methodology/approach – The methodology proposed for this work is based on bibliographic research and the application of bibliometric procedures. Findings – Eight hundred and fifty articles were found up to 2020. The publications involved 2,625 authors, from 75 countries, 1,084 institutions and 201 different journals. Highlighting that 88.3% of the articles were published in the last three years. The countries that stood out the most were China and Italy, and the most prolific journal was Applied Sciences Basel, with 59 articles. The most cited article received 343 citations and the largest production per author was nine articles. The topic has risen significantly in recent years with empirical and theoretical studies. Research, Practical & Social implications – The topic is of exponential interest for academics, researchers and managers and for directly impacting business models and organizational strategies, the study involved presenting the development and trends, in an orderly manner, of Industry 4.0 in the period from 1990 to 2020. Originality/value – The originality of the study comes from the gap identified, which corresponds to the need for a bibliometric study that presented the main countries, years of publications, most cited and most published authors, periodicals and recurring keywords, in addition to identifying developments and trends in this topic. The term “equity” (EQUI) is a complex concept to be defined, because it depends on many factors, mainly political ideals. The objective of this research is to determine the evolution and development of the term equity in education by the scientific community. The main objective is to identify the scientific production and performance of the term equity in the field of education. The research method developed is based on bibliometrics, specifically on the technique of scientific mapping, and a process of quantification, analysis, evaluation and estimation of scientific documents was developed. The results indicate there is no established line of research or strong connections between the themes. This shows the existing variety of research on the term equity. Thus, the trend in research on the term equity is focused on the early periods of study on the students’ diversity in order to evolve to more concrete and specific aspects of equity, such as gender and race. It is concluded that the theoretical framework of reference shows how equity should be incorporated into the education system under the parameters of equal opportunities, of equality in access to higher education, regardless of gender or socio-cultural background.

The University

Scopus is recognized by experts as one of the best, most rigorous, and most complete bibliometric databases. The present work used Scopus-based bibliometric analysis and Pearson correlation coefficients to analyse the research output of three universities in the Galicia region of Spain and three public universities of North of Portugal. The purpose of this study was to understand the current state of Galician and Northern Portugal academic and scientific research, to identify the main research fields in which the region stands out, and to compare and contrast the academic production of the six universities. The main conclusion to be drawn from this study is that scientific production in the Euroregion Galicia-North of Portugal is not concentrated on a few study fields, but covers a wide range of subjects, from medicine and chemistry, to computer science or engineering. The University of Porto stands out, both in scientific production and in the number of researchers.

<p>O artigo se propõe estudar as contribuições de Malba Tahan para a Educação Matemática, de forma a descobrir as principais pesquisas publicadas no período de 2014 a 2017, levantando as contribuições didáticas e a historigrafia do autor. O objetivo é analisar as produções científicas acerca dos estudos, vida e obras de Júlio César de Melo e Souza (Malba Tahan). Para este fim, a escolha da metodologia foi a revisão sistemática, a partir de levantamento bibliográfico de teses, dissertações e artigos qualificados sobre a temática, realizada em quatro etapas: 1) busca por descritores no Portal CAPES, no Google Acadêmico, no repositório de teses e dissertações e no Scielo; 2) seleção e organização por importância, data e tipologia do trabalho; 3) adequação ao tema proposto e aos descritores; 4) análise, estudo e detalhamento do material selecionado. As buscas foram realizadas utilizando cinco descritores específicos sobre o assunto para auxílio e relevância, considerando a data da publicação, a tipologia do trabalho e sua adequação ao tema.  Na revisão, observamos que o professor Malba Tahan desperta o interesse do meio acadêmico, literário e histórico, que aponta sua contribuição para a Educação Matemática.</p><p><strong>Palavras-chave: </strong>Revisão sistemática. Educação Matemática.</p><p><strong><br /></strong></p><p><strong>Systematic review of Malba Tahan's contributions to Mathematics Education (2014-2017)</strong></p><p align="center"> </p><p><strong>Abstract: </strong>The article presents a study related to the contributions of Malba Tahan, by raising the didactic contributions and the historigraphy of the author in regards to mathematics education, the authors looked at the main research published from 2014 to 2017. The objective was to analyze scientific production related to studies, life and works of Júlio César de Melo e Souza (Malba Tahan). For this purpose, a systematized bibliographical review was carried out using the theses, dissertations and qualified articles on the subject, and was carried out in four stages: 1) search for descriptors in CAPES Portal, in Google Academic, and in the repository of theses and dissertations and in Scielo; 2) selection and organization by importance, date and typology; 3) adequacy to proposed themes and descriptors; and 4) analysis, study and detailing of the selected material. The searches were carried out using five specific descriptors on the subject for help and relevance, considering the date of publication, the typology of the work and its adequacy to the theme. The importance of earnings response coefficient (ERC) research arises mainly from the need to enhance confidence of a firm’s stakeholders in accounting information announcements, especially the equity investors, enabling them to make informed stock decisions. Due to the significance of this subject, this paper provides a review of the extant ERC literature and expounds on its evolution and development of the relevant theories, offers perspectives, and highlights the models used since 1968 when the earnings-to-returns relationship first became prominent. The study also evaluates the application of the ERC perspective and highlights the main empirical findings and also elucidates on related research methodologies applied to date and incorporates the relevant explicit and implied critiques. The main research results found while conducting this review supports the relevance of accounting information announcements to stock price formations, and therefore enhancing the confidence of investors and firm’s stakeholders in such announcements (Ball & Brown, 1968; Collins & Kothari, 1989; Cheng, 1994; Kothari et al., 2010; Ariff et al., 2011; Hwang & Zhang, 2012; Patatoukas, 2013; Mostafa & Dixon, 2013; Al-Baidhani et al., 2017). Researchers also calculated and evaluated relevant ERCs using different methods such as event study method and regression methods, and applying different approaches such as individual stocks approach and portfolios approach, as detailed in this review. In addition to the enhancement of the stakeholders’ confidence in the accounting information, this review paper will be useful to financial accounting standards setters and contributes to a holistic understanding of the literature on earnings-to-returns relationship.

Environmental Education has become over recent decades an emerging area of knowledge; its evolution has been conditioned not only by different regional dynamics, but also by international guidelines and trends. Therefore, the literature reports multiple and diverse pedagogical, curricular and transdisciplinary approaches to this topic. Likewise, studies on the dynamics and trends in the generation and production of knowledge are relevant to both teachers and researchers in every field of knowledge. In this sense, it is presented a bibliometric study that aims to analyse the international scientific production on Environmental Education on the Web of Science (WoS) within the categories Education and Educational Research and Education, Scientific Disciplines for the last two decades (2000-2019). The information obtained was analysed using different bibliometric techniques, like descriptive statistics, degree of collaboration and co-occurrence maps generated by VOSviewer (version 1.6.15) software. The results show the accelerated increase in the production of knowledge in this area, they present the main research contexts, as well as some educational and research perspectives. Abstract Background In 2015, The United Nations (UN) established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. In Latin America, the Pacific Alliance is integrated by Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, which the scientific activity is focused on the scientific production from research and academic institutions. In this study, the main goal was to analyze the scientific production (2015–2019) in the Pacific Alliance related to “zero hunger” as SDG. The bibliometric analysis of the scientific literature was carried out using the Scopus database with search terms related to zero hunger and validated by Elsevier. We analyzed the annual production of original articles, productive journals, leading institutions, funding agencies, authors, and the most influential original. Results Our results showed that the Pacific Alliance produced 2215 (81.0%) original articles, which is the fraction of non-excluded outputs with an annual growth rate of 12.62%, Mexico was the leading country, Nutrición Hospitalaria was the most active journal, and The Universidad Autónoma de Mexico was the leading institution and CONACYT as the leading funding institution. Conclusion As conclusion, the scientific production of the Pacific Alliance is showing positive substantial changes, which reflects the main research themes related to zero hunger, such as food security, sustainable agriculture, and malnutrition to achieve this SDG by 2030.

ABSTRACT Background: Brazil has a top position regarding scientific production on noninvasive neuromodulation worldwide. Knowledge of scientometric phenomena involving Brazilian researchers who produce science on this theme may aid confidence in Brazilian clinical and research professionals. Objective: To investigate the scenario of research on the theme of noninvasive neuromodulation in Brazil. Methods: This was a scientometric study for mapping scientific production on this subject involving network phenomena, the professions of researchers, institutional affiliation, main research unit, total number of scientific articles on noninvasive neuromodulation published in journals, research sub-area and year of obtaining the PhD title. Public data from Lattes Platform curricula vitae and from VOSViewer© were used. Results: A total of 54 Brazilian researchers were identified, of whom 16 are research productivity fellows. Most of them are linked to institutions in southeastern Brazil, involving the professions of biology, biochemistry, physical education, physiotherapy, speech therapy, gerontology, medicine and psychology, with 1175 articles published in journals. These studies involve experimental animal and human models to account for mechanisms, observational studies, case reports, randomized clinical trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, product and process development, computer modeling and guidelines. Conclusions: Brazil occupies a prominent place in the world scenario of research on noninvasive neuromodulation, which is used by different professions for treatment of brain dysfunctions, with a trend towards expansion to other fields.

Purpose This study aims to systematize and analyze the internationalization of companies in an attempt to identify the main themes explored in the literature – What does the current state of the art tell us about the stimuli and barriers, failures and resilience in the internationalization of companies is what the authors set out to answer with this research. Design/methodology/approach This study offers a systematic review based on the bibliometric mapping techniques of 218 articles collected from the Web of Science database between 1996 and 2021. Findings Furthermore, contributing to literature by the logic of stimuli, barriers failure in internationalization companies. The main conclusion is that, from the analysis, the authors can see that the scientific production in this field of knowledge has intensified in recent years, but the centrality and the search density undergo major changes. Originality/value The main research contributions enable a better understanding of the involvement of failure and resilience in companies re-internationalization and suggestions for future studies in this field.
